As the gates open, you'll be greeted with a breath-taking setting, with Long Meadow ahead and Apple Store Cottage to the right-hand side, with its beautiful wisteria rambling over the entrance and a pretty courtyard terrace to the front.
This secluded cottage is a stunningly stylish bolthole for two in an amazing location. On the ground floor is an open-plan kitchen-dining-living area, oozing style and comfort of the sort that could easily feature in any interior's magazine. Sitting between the kitchen-dining room and living room is a fabulous wood burner creating the cosiest of ambiances during the cooler months, while French doors open to the courtyard garden and bring the outside in. Upstairs is a unique and romantic bedroom, with a super king-size bed and an adjoining shower room with a double-width, walk-in shower.
To the front of Apple Store Cottage, which is draped in roses and wisteria, is a gravel drive and a charming courtyard garden, which is accessed through the living room's French doors. The courtyard has a table, two chairs, a garden bench and parasol and is an idyllic spot to sit outside and enjoy a drink or meal at any time of day. I love this cottage and have been there several times- it is home from home.
A delightful cottage and so comfortable, situated in a lovely area of the Cotswolds

When we drove over the driveway to the cottage, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful cottage. It is situated in a quiet town, from which we could see so many wonderful places in the Cotswolds. At the cottage there were some lovely goodies for us which was such a lovely surprise! And then every morning we could have breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine. Also ideal was the train station only a 10 minute walk away, to be able to trafel to London or Oxford. We really had such a wonderful time there, and will certainly remember this cottage if we will visit the Cotswolds again.

From the moment we entered the cottage we knew we were somewhere special. Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean with everything one needed for a comfortable stay in a pretty Cotswold village. A generous welcome pack was provided which was so appreciated by us. The hosts Chris and Sue were charming, kind and incredibly helpful and thank you to you both for sorting out my sat nav when I was in a pickle! We would have no hesitation in highly recommending this superb cottage. We loved it. Thank you Chris and Sue.

We have stayed at the cottage before and loved it. On returning it was like coming back to a calm oasis and everything you need in there. Sue the owner and her husband are very helpful but not intrusive. We love the location, the little Deli in the village and wonderful food at the Bull. There are many other places to stop for coffee and cake and sites and villages to enjoy. It is all so relaxing. We hope to return again soon.

We can honestly say that Apple Store Cottage was perfect in every way.
Very spacious accommodation, spotlessly clean throughout and a very comfortable bed. The location was well positioned for exploring the Cotswolds. The village pubs also offer a very good range of food and drink.
We only met the owner once, the day after we arrived. We would have liked a personal greeting on the day of our arrival, but that said, we had a mobile number in case of any problems.
There was a lovely welcome pack of bread, butter, marmalade, eggs, cake and coffee and a bottle of wine.
We enjoyed it so much, we have re booked!

Probably the best vacation rental we have ever enjoyed! Perfectly comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen and adorable garden patio. Charlbury is a gem and the cottage's location could not be better. Quiet and tucked away but walkable to pubs, co-op, deli/cafe, and more within minutes. Great central location to other lovely nearby villages. Our hosts were delightful and helpful but gave us privacy. Can't wait to stay here again!

Our stay at the Apple Store Cottage was nothing short of flawless. I highly recommend staying here to anyone considering a trip to Charlbury/West Oxfordshire.
The location of the cottage was great. You’re right in the centre of Charlbury town, with cafes and pubs practically on the doorstep. But the cottage is also away from any roads so you get that calmness when you’re there.
The cottage has all the utilities/equipment/facilities you would need if you just wanted to spend your entire stay indoors. I’d say the WiFi was also strong enough to work from there, if you’re a remote worker. It’s also only a 10 minute walk from Charlbury station, so could work as a base if you wanted to visit the surrounding villages.
The way the cottage had been styled is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel like you’re in a home, as opposed to the coldness you can sometimes get in other spaces.
Sue and Chris were incredibly welcoming and accommodating to all our requests. I felt able to contact them with any questions and always got a quick response.
We spent our last night there thinking about the next time we would be able to come! Highly recommend this cottage to anyone and everyone.

The cottage was exactly what we wanted as a place to relax and de-stress. Everything we needed was provided and more; lots of extras such as ground coffee, croissants, cake etc.
We could walk to eating places and deli and small supermarket.
I wish we could have stayed longer!
Thank you very much to the owners for providing a wonderful retreat.

Spacious and tastefully decorated, Applestore Cottage is the perfect bolthole for a stay in the The Cotswolds. Sue and her husband are very gracious hosts; friendly and willing to help with anything, without imposing on our privacy. We loved all the special little touches that greeted us upon our arrival, Sue's attention-to-detail is superb. The location is tucked away enough to enable you to escape the crowds of tourists, but convenient enough that you can easily visit the busy spots whenever you wish. My only suggestion, which may assist future guests' level of comfort, is perhaps a firmer mattress - although some guests may prefer a super soft bed! We loved the size of it and the luxury linen.. everything was so wonderful and we would like to sincerely thank you for helping us create wonderful memories to treasure for many years to come.

Our stage in apple cottage was simply perfect. The owners who lives in front of the cottage were so kind with us. We feel really comfortable and we enjoy our 4 days there. The location was perfect for visit all the Cotswolds. We were travelling with a 2 years old baby and he told us all the time that it was a story house like the ones in the books.

Lovely cottage, beautifully restored with tasteful and comfy furniture. Spacious kitchen has everything you need to cook a full meal, if you wanted to. Bedroom and bathroom are upstairs, everything is well kept, very clean and beautifully appointed, we felt like home right away.
There is a little private garden which overlooks part of the immaculately property and the beautiful home of the friendly and discreet owner, who made us feel very welcome. On arrival, there were some very much appreciated welcome goodies such as a coffee, milk, butter and jam, a yummy freshly baked bread, wine and even a cake.
Good location from where you can make day trips exploring all of the Cotswolds - we were sad to leave after 3 nights and plan to come back and make this our home-base for a week.

We have had a fantastic few days here. Beautiful cottage in a beautiful village. Beautifully restored and very clean and cosy. Lots of very thoughtful extras including welcome goodies, and Christmas decorations (including a filled wooden advent calendar!)

We stayed for three nights at this tastefully restored cottage in what I would describe as an authentic Cotswold village and would highly recommend for quality, comfort and location.
You can easily walk to a choice of great pubs offering outstanding food.
And although the owners live in the grounds in the main property they were welcoming yet discreet and respectful. The welcome goodies and guide book with recommendations were both much appreciated.
Perfect for a couples get away base to explore this charming part of England.

Stayed at Apple store cottage for 2 nights for our 20th anniversary. Absolutely beautiful cottage with everything you would need. Great location and the cottage itself was very comfortable and finished to a very high standard. Nothing negative to say at all. Well worth a visit.

Apple Store Ciottage in Charlbury
The cottage is delightful. Sue the owner had thoughtfully left us a welcome 'goody' pack which was very well received especially a really yummy carrot cake. Set in a wonderful setting, peaceful and with everything we needed the cottage was just what was needed. Most importantly there is a super king sized bed that is really comfortable. We have just returned after a week and have booked for a return visit in September. Charlbury is a lovely base for getting to explore and is not beset by masses of tourists which makes it a very friendly place - the deli and its staff are a delight and the coffee and cake is good We would recommend the cottage for a peaceful retreat. Just one thing, iIt would be nice to have garden chairs to 'relax' in when the sun shines. I am now looking forward to our return in September. Sunshine would be the icing on the cake. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Excellent cottage!
We had a fantastic stay in this cottage. The welcome pack was lovely surprise, with plenty of nice goodies! The cottage was idyllic and peaceful with everything we needed. Charlbury was perfectly situated and we walked everyday through the beautiful countryside, which was right on the doorstep. We had some lovely meals out and used the deli in the town for our picnic food. We would definitely recommend this cottage and we will be sure to book a return visit!
