We enjoyed the quiet of this part of the city. It is very close to Borghese Gardens which were beautiful and the Spanish steps. Piazza de Popolo ( just steps away from the apartment) offered some space for our little one to kick a soccer ball around while we enjoyed the fountains. There is a taxi stand right at the piazza so you have easy access to the airport or sites that you may not want to walk to. We did walk to the Forum, the Monument of Vittorio Emmanuele, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. The only site we took a taxi to was the Colloseum because we had a 3 year old and the walk was too far from him. The two apartments were comfortable and gave enough space for my family of 9. Air conditioning and washing machine worked well which was great because temperatures were in the high 90'sF (high 30'sC).

These apartments in Rome are in a very accessible and safe neighborhood, but that is about as far as it goes. The apartments aren't quite what the pictures portray. On the surface the apartments look like they have been remodeled. However, up close they look different. The couches, chairs and furniture are stained, used, and in some cases torn. The dust and dirt is almost hidden under, around and next to the furniture, beds and if you have allergies to dust, you may have a problem. In the upstairs unit, we had the electricity go out the first night due to a faulty iron provided in the unit, cold water showers, the second bathroom with the bathtub and hand shower had mold in the grout, the window shades in the bathroom were a wreck, one of the bathroom sinks wouldn't drain, and internet only reached half of the apartment and where it did work, it would cut in and out and be much slower than advertised. The lower unit was also worn - dirtier than the upstairs unit needing us to clean it when we arrived, the shower drain was backed up, the stove didn't work, and the internet was worse than the upstairs unit. Unfortunately, this part of the Rome vacation experience was not as we hoped, and for the price of these apartments, definitely not what we expected.
