Everything was fantastic in the Cottage. Location was good as well. I would say that the only inconvenient was that the
the top floor room was too hot.

Loved our stay in this beautiful property. It is a short walk from the high street so perfect for visiting and dinner out with a glass of wine.

Cottage with a lot of character and lovely main bedroom, with attached bath. Our two daughters slept in the loft up some steep windy spiral stairs. Very convenient for catching the bus to Stow, Bourton, Chipping Campden, etc. Beds were comfy and kitchen had most things that we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely cottage, well presented, clean and extremely cosy, tea&coffee provided, & a pint of milk in the fridge!
Located just 1 min walk from the main high street of Moreton in Marsh.
The ample book & DVD selection on the shelves was great for the time spent indoors.

Perfect base for a ramble in the countryside. We stayed as a couple so did not use the second bedroom. Location is excellent, short walk to high street with all amenities. Cottage was cozy and comfortable. A few details that could improve the stay: cottage could use a deep clean (lots of cobwebs in corners); no TV antenna so only DVDs available; a starter pack of firewood provided, but was damp; and overall cottage could use a refresh to restore it to the condition pictured on the website.

Me and my friend had an amazing time at this cottage. Moreton in marsh was lovely and the local villages were beautiful too. The cottage was super clean and the bed was really comfortable. For the price we paid it was absolutely amazing !!

We strayed from the 9th of December to the 16th of December. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and has a lot of quirks I think it’s important to read about them in the description so you know what to expect! It’s close to everything in a lovely quiet neighborhood. The host was very responsive.
The train station is 10 min walk with acesss to London. We are at every pub in town and did not have a bad meal. The 801 bus got us to stow on the wold and burton on the water. Broadway is a 16 min drive and is also beautiful. All the villages were decorated beautifully and it all felt christmassy and very festive. We would stay again!

Cobbler’s Cottage was exactly the kind of Cotswold experience we were looking for! Honey-colored Cotswold stone walls, exposed beams, moonlit views of chimney tops from the comfortable beds. All too perfect! Its proximity to the Moreton-in-Marsh train station, numerous pubs and shops made it an ideal spot for our “home base”. Thank you for sharing!!

Great character place. It's old and beautiful. Everything you could want in a holiday apartment. Great location.

The location of Cobblers Cottage is excellent and within walking distance of the Main Street where there are lots of pubs/restaurants and shops, there is also a little park to the right which is great if you have a dog as we did. The cottage itself is smaller than it looks in the photos and is painted a horrible blue colour throughout rather than cream on the photos, the stairs are very steep which we knew beforehand which was ok for us but if you have any mobility problems then this cottage is not for you. The bedroom door does not open properly at the top of the stairs because of the bed , the bedrooms are very nice, though I think the bed could do with a new mattress . We weren’t in the cottage very much as we were out and about every day but if we had to spend any length of time in it we would feel on top of each other. It would also nice if there was an information book about the cooker etc and how things work. We probably won’t stay in this cottage again as it definitely needs some TLC though the location is excellent

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was very clean and comfortable and the perfect location to explore the Cotswolds!

Fabulous location

The location is perfect, but a few things could be improved to make the cottage really stand out. The bins weren't emptied (and another black sack got added to it whilst I was staying there but was out), the squeeking bedroom door and creaking floor boards quite annoying (I appreciated the warning about steep stairs), the mattress needs a protector on it, and new duvet as stained, and the oven was turned off at the mains so I had to ring for help as the instruction book wasnt clear how to reset it). But lovely touches like the cookies, milk in fridge, salt & pepper etc do make a difference when self catered. You really cannot underestimate the amazing quiet location, and I imagine really cosy in the winter.

The property has a great location. It has very authentic old features which are quaint. However the decor and brightness of the place is not true in the pictures presented. The walls are actually blue and the furnishings are getting old and tired, including the mattresses. I would recommend new paint , the white looks good in the pictures.
The garbage bins were all full when we arrived, but they sent someone to clear it.. The fans in bathroom do not work. The bed needs a mattress cover. A few fixable things.

Coming from Texas where everything truly is bigger, it's a bit of a shock to come to the UK where everything is more compact. However, we were mostly here to sleep and the location was great. Unbelievably neat, small village with a lot of shops and pubs in walking distance.

Had a perfect three days here in May. We found the cottage very clean and well equipped whilst still oozing with traditional Cotswold charm. Would definitely stay again. Location is excellent, especially if you cannot explore the Cotswold by car

Lovely place to stay and visit Cotswolds..

A pleasant cottage, 2 minutes from a local park for the kids. Free parking 1 minute away near the church and on nearby roads. Cottage has everything you need. The first set of stairs are steep which is something to note. However, Our 7 and 10 year old children had no problems. A slide across stair gate would benefit at the top of these stairs for safety, or that something is altered with the door there to allow it to shut, because it can’t currently due to the arrangement of the furniture. A welcome cake on arrival and logs for the fire, should you choose to use it. Very quiet, NOTE: bell ringing practice on a Wednesday until 9pm. Market in the town on a Tuesday. Local supermarkets (Aldi and Coop) for your needs. Fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our few days using the property as a base.

The property was small and cosy but very comfortable. Everything we needed was included. It was easy to find, car parking no problem and it was very close to the main high street. We would stay here again for sure.

We had a lovely five day stay at Cobblers Cottage. The location was fantastic; just a two minute walk to the centre of Morton in Marsh!
The cottage was clean, well kept and very cosy. When I requested more cutlery, it was there in a couple of hours- great customer service.
Take care with the dining chairs; the seat pads are not connected to the frame & one of our party badly trapped their fingers in the chair! Also note that there is no freezer facility at the property.
Thanks for a lovely stay. Cobblers Cottage is a great little find, perfect for a stay in the Cotswolds.

This quiet location looks out on a green street and a churchyard. From the cottage, it was easy to find many footpaths and walks from
Moreton-in-Marsh to area sites and nearby towns. Don’t miss the Batsford Arboretum and the Four Shire Stone! The cottage was comfortable, cozy, and a great place to come home to after a long day out.

Had a lovely stay here, close enough to shops, bars, cafes but not too close to be affected by the main road noise. The stairs are steep but fine if you are careful. Sadly there wasn't a starter pack of fuel left for us which would have been welcome as we arrived late on a cold, wet evening. The house got very cosy once it was lit and the heating on. Might also have been nice for the outside light to have been left on, especially during winter.
As other people have said, there are certain areas that need some attention. The lounge window could do with a covering as people do look in on their way past. Maybe get some heavier curtains as it got quite draughty and across the front door which has big gaps (understandable as its an old house) The main bathroom could do with a handle on the inside and the lock needs fixing. We couldn't find a folder with house info in - bin collection days etc. There was a sheet on what recycling went into which box in the courtyard but not when it had to be put out - these were full when we got there so had to leave ours in a bag outside.
All in all we did enjoy our stay, it was nice to get away for a few days and anywhere in the Cotswolds is lovely!! A little more attention to detail and it would have been even better.

We recently decided that we would like to get away and just have the opportunity to relax. Cobblers Cottage fulfilled that and was just a lovely place to stay. For a couples short break it is just right. We had everything we needed and having the fire going at night was just perfect.
There are many towns and villages to visit and Cobblers is in the right location.
Definitely a couple location.

Lovely weekend stay at Cobblers the cottage was adequate and well equipped. Stairs a bit awkward and would benefit from a grab rail on left hand side as you are going up.
I would say a lovely cottage for two people certainly not four adults I don’t think it would be suitable for small children.
The decor was lovely and furniture very comfortable…. Perhaps needs something at the front window as on full view to anyone walking past.

Had a fab few days awsy end of september. Enjoyed the peace and quiet but close to shops and restaurants. Perfect size for two. Msy be cramped for four adults but was great for a couple or small family.

No major problems but lack of attention to detail detracted from overall experience. For example a welcome pack with local information (shops, local services etc) whilst not essential would have been handy.
Very convenient for train station and bus stops ( although buses few and far between)
All in all a comfortable and pleasant stay but for price paid would have expected a higher quality.
10.0
The cottage was really well equipped, the bedfing was high quality as were all fittings. I really loved the fact that there was a bath too. I would just like to say in respose to those reviewers who complained that the bedroom door doesn't shut and that the srairs are too steep, that things like that are part of a small traditional cottage, and I for one would not swap the lovely king sized bed for a smaller one just to shut a door. If you are older and infirm or have young toddlers it probably isn't ideal, but for the rest of us it is great! Thank you soooo much for a lovely stay. I will deffinitely book again.

Lovely cozy cottage which is well placed for exploring the Cotswolds.
The cottage has everything you might need, with parking just around the corner. The steps are very steep, so probably not very good for people who might struggle with stairs.
8.0
Cottage over 3 floors adequate for a couple, but believe it would be cramped for 4 adults. Location in town great and the offside parking worked OK as only a few yards from the house. Town and area around lovely. Biggest concern with house was very steep stairs up to main bedroom and no door you could shut in the bedroom to close the stairs and the dangerous potential fall. An installation of a sliding door or similar would transform this issue. Otherwise house was fine.

Comfortable bed, good linen.
Lack of privacy in bedroom/ bathroom situation.
Welcome Lidl biscuit. No

Disappointing!
This cottage is well-situated for Moreton in Mash and surrounding area. For that reason we enjoyed our stay, but we should have been told how steep and dangerous the stairs are, especially for two 80 year olds. Also, if we had known where the bathroom is situated, we would not have chosen to stay here. To have to walk through the second bedroom to the bathroom is not good at all, particularly in the middle of the night.
You indicated this review would not go to StayCotswold. Why not, as they surely should be made aware of my comments?

Lovely stay
We had a comfortable stay at Cobblers, it's in a great location and the cottage is lovely.
The only minor setbacks are there is no freezer and we had brought some frozen food which then had to be binned.
The other thing is the door in the main bedroom which opens on to the stairs, cannot be closed over as the bed is in the way, so it felt a tad dangerous walking past especially at night time. Perhaps not ideal for children or much older people.
Other than that we had a lovely stay and would return.

Great location but decor needs updating
Perfect location for easy access to town centre. Decor is a bit tired and some small changes would make a difference ie bin in bathroom needs replacing as mouldy.
