This is a nice place at a great resort. Not knowing exactly where you stay, and late check-in are the only negatives.

This property is managed by an incompetent organization with indifferent ownership. The booking provides a 5:00PM check-in. We arrived at the property at about 1:30PM and checked in immediately, anticipating that we'd use the amenities until the unit was ready. We were told that if our accommodations were available early, we would be contacted. We did not get keys to enter our unit until after 8:00PM with a three-year old child who is normally sound asleep by then. She wasn't in bed until after 9:00PM after waiting around all evening in a restaurant--the Morse Mountain Grille, a place to avoid, given the poor quality food, lackluster service, and unhygienic staff (a kitchen employee walked out of a bathroom stall, right out the bathroom door without so much as glancing at the sink, never mind washing hands). When we did arrive at the unit to move in at about 8:15PM, the keys didn't work. I had to drive back down to the management office to get functioning keys. When I got there, obviously annoyed having been waiting all day already, the manager launched into a series of excuses, claiming the keys had the right number but hadn't been programmed, etc., etc. We were not the only family in that predicament. There was a line-up waiting around to enter units. Nothing is worse than listening to property management complain about not having enough staff to keep up with cleaning and turning units around when you're paying thousands of dollars for a weekend getaway. How confident can you be in the cleanliness of a unit when you know the staff are overworked, rushed and behind schedule? The unit itself is utterly spartan. Although the photographs on the listing showed relatively bright and comfortable furnishings and beds, in reality there was not a single bed-spread or duvet in the whole unit. The pullout couch didn't have any bedding at all. I raised all of these issues to the property management and to the ownership, Rob. L., who was essentially indifferent. The substance of the owner's response was "sorry for your troubles," and work with the property management to address the concerns. The property management was incompetent and unaccountable. Combine that with indifferent ownership and you've got an absolutely frustrating situation. I would not come back. I don't recommend it to anyone. Try another resort. Try another accommodation. Avoid this one. Ownership doesn't care and was unwilling to help. It won't improve.

We enjoyed the stay at Wyndham Smugglers' Notch. The location of the apartment was perfect... next to the checkin, restaurants, and one of the lifts. We only cooked breakfast, so the place worked for our families. I feel like we did not take full advantage of what the place had to offer! We had tickets to ski on a different mountain, which was a bit far... wish we would have stayed there.
