The property was ample and nicely decorated. Had good starter kits such as coffee and sugar. Also shampoo and conditioner.
A few additional hand towels would have been good. The kitchen could have been cleaner (countertop, etc.)
10.0
The property was first-rate. It's a really beautiful and spacious apartment with more than enough room for 2 couples traveling together.
We happened to be there when it was VERY hot & humid out, so it was a short drive (rather than a walk) to downtown, but having a reserved parking spot made that a non-issue.
We would definitely stay again.

Perfect 2 bed house

Beautiful old home with tasteful modern updates. All the beauty of the historic home preserved but also has updates and modern amenities like AC , dishwasher, Wi-Fi , washer and dryer, usb ports etc.

This property was perfect in every way--beautiful, great location, extremely clean, and Suite B has a gorgeous upstairs porch where we spent a lot of time when we were there. Communication with host was easy and they were responsive. Check in and out were seamless. We will definitely stay there next time we are in Charleston.

196 Rutledge embodies the old south spirit with its furnishings, architecture, and welcoming feel. The location is within walking distance of all the hot spots if you are a modestly healthy walker. An easy car ride or Uber to the historic downtown. Great food, coffee shops, parks, museums, shopping.... What more can one ask for.
10.0
This home was beautiful, well-appointed, and CLEAN. The bedding was comfortable, lots of amenities, and the location was good. Having our own parking space behind the house was great, but it was a bit far from the entrance especially when lugging all of our stuff. We were able to park for a few minutes in front to get our stuff in, but moving out was a bit inconvenient. Fortunately, the weather was great. That being said, would we stay here again — a resounding YES!
10.0
The apartment was tastefully arranged. Everything we could need was provided.
The location is convenient, although requiring some walking or a vehicle to reach the downtown area.
We all enjoyed our stay.

Quaint 2 bedroom apartment. Nicely decorated. Would stay again

We loved our stay here and wish we could have just moved into this property. It was so open, inviting and comfortable! It was just lovely!

This was a wonderful property for two couples visiting Charleston! The home itself was great - just as pictured. We liked the location. It is a bit of a walk to the sights, 1 - 2 miles, but most of that is walking down major streets with shops and restaurants. We were glad for the walking to work off all the delicious food we found! Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay. Very clean and well maintained. Easy check in also.

We were very comfortable. The property definitely met our expectations. We loved the big porch.

Great property. We will look yo stay there again if we are in the neighborhood.

This is a very nice property, with an updated kitchen and updated baths. Mostly comfortable for two couples, which is what we were. However, one mattress on one of the beds was really awful for one of the men in our group. It had a large divot on one side, and he said he kept feeling like he was falling out of the bed! The bed is in a bedroom with a slanted floor, so the bed needs to be leveled and a new mattress needs to be installed there. We have informed the property manager of this.
The location is on a busy street, so there is traffic noise at night. The parking allows for one car only. Note that the driveway is very narrow, so it was a trick to drive to the back lot with our large SUV.
It’s been our experience that every property is unique, and this one certainly is. I’d say if they improve the bed situation, this would be a good place to stay.

Loved the place, size was amazing and the porch was a huge bonus. It's a little far from King street but in a cute neighborhood.

We rented the upstairs unit while in town for our daughter’s graduation. it was clean and quite comfortably furnished. Our favorite area was the large, furnished front porch. While it wasn’t clear to us from the online listing, we were happy to find there was reserved, off street parking behind the house. Within 1 or 2 blocks from coffee shops, cafes and within walking distance to King Street, this was a perfect unit for us.

This apartment is absolutely gorgeous. We felt comfortable from the moment we entered. The location was convenient for everything we wanted to do in Charleston. We liked walking all around the historic districts, the market and the battery.

This is is a nice house however, do not park on the street even if there are spots available. Our car was towed and this could have easily been avoided with a simple notification left inside the house or in an email that they sweep the streets the 4th Tuesday of every month. We only rented the house for 2 days and it fell on a sweeping day even though they didn't sweep the street. The rental company said they would refund us some money for our troubles but that hasn't happened. A very frustrating situation after going out exploring the city only to find your car is missing and then having to pay a fine, an uber to get your car back, and a towing fee. We won't be back.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Good location, however we did not realize it was a second story condo. We would have preferred a first floor. We also wish we had known this was a busy, busy street with cars speeding till the late hours of the night. Had we been aware we would have brought sounds machines. Very surprised the police do not monitor the speeds with which cars are traveling down this residential street. That was our only issue. Other than that it was a lovely property inside and out.
10.0
Spacious and well-appointed in a great location. Walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. VERY clean! The decor is a bit dated and the pictures need to be updated. We weren't able to check in early, but the access to the Club (that we nicknamed 'the urban oasis' was a nice bonus. Would definitely rent here again!

This was a perfect place for the 4 of us to enjoy Charleston and each other! The location is great for access to Charleston's historic district and King Street activities. The property was beautiful inside and out. Spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, just as it appears.

Very homey and comfy. Beds and bathrooms are great.

Lovely property, well maintained, but on a busy street which detracted somewhat from porch time. However can experience which enjoyed very much.
10.0
The upstairs apartment was very nice. It had the “old southern” flare and was nicely decorated. We loved the upstairs porch/balcony and the cleanliness of the place.

This property was perfect for my husband and I and another couple to stay during our visit to Charleston! The location was great and the home was very comfortable. Loved sitting out on the balcony with my morning coffee.

We had a great stay in this property. Two adult couples, 55+, six nights. Elegant and pampering bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, extremely spacious and well appointed kitchen, cozy roomy living room, dining area, and lovely spacious veranda with dining table and expansive lounging seating. We loved staying here.

Loved our accommodations, nice neighborhood, walked to all our restaurants while there. Will definitely VRBO again

This 2nd floor apt with awesome porch to watch sunsets was great. Super clean, great kitchen, bedrooms, living area with awesome walk-in shower. Bathroom had every amenity needed. New furniture in living room was really nice!! We ate at Fuel, which was 1/2 block away, once and we took carry out the second night. Great tacos, etc. Would definitely stay again!
8.0
We were not aware it was an upstairs unit. We had friends with lots of luggage which made that more difficult. The picture on the VRBO listing was not unit B. The street outside is very busy and we could hear traffic in the living area but very quiet in the bedrooms. Plenty of space with living area, dining area and kitchen. TV instructions needto be updated as well as how to use the gas stove and fireplaces. A little too far to walk to historic area for people in their 70’s. Overall, we had a lovely stay and no real problems with the unit..Lovely front porch but too cold on this visit.
10.0
We loved this property and would definitely stay here again! Floors, counters, bathrooms were beautiful and 100% clean.
I loved all the marble tiles and counters, the inlaid wood floors, architectural details, decorative accents.
Top floor unit has its own furnished covered porch.
Walkable to everything in downtown Charleston.
Owner helpfully allows pantry items like salt, pepper, sugar, coffee filters, cooking oil, etc to remain in pantry.
StayDuvet was a great service, added a few more towels per my request.
10.0
The apartment was perfect for two couples. It's a very nice place, and Stay Duvet had done a great job of providing the amenities to make a stay nice. We highly recommend.
10.0
incredible value for money, very well organised place, stayduvet really think of everything, the place itself was simply awsome, wish we could have stayed longer
(minor constructive critiscm: bathroom sliding door doesn't stay closed, porch door could do with a proper lock)
6.0
Very busy street & loud neighbors.
10.0
The property was excellent. Everything was clean, and the property was well maintained.
10.0
Spent 4 nights over Christmas. The place was very comfortable. Great layout, and very convenient location for wandering into Charleston. It was a record breaking cold snap while there, so we didn't get to use the front porch. Would love to stay there again in better weather.
