About this house rental
This property provides very close access to the trails. We offer quiet enjoyment and access to many recreational opportunities. The unit is 1/2 of a duplex and sleeps 6 with room for a couple more if needed . Both sides can be rented if a larger group capacity is needed. See listing 2653638 for additional information. This property is set up for the outdoor adventure lifestyle. If you are a mountain biker, you will enjoy the challenging, technical trails that the "lunch loops" has to offer. The Tabeguache Trail starts in the back yard. Road biking the Colorado National Monument is another popular activity. The climb to "cold shivers" is challenging and will be a good warm up for the remainder of the ride. Follow the route of the Coors Classic road bike race route and see what the moonscape is all about. For the hikers, Devil's kitchen trail and the Serpant's trail are less than 2 minute drive away. One could also explore the primitive routes out the back yard that access the Tabeguache/lunch loops trail area. High end bicycle rentals available. Uber/Lyft do operate locally.

Easy check in process and great location for hiking and bike riding!

Outside fire pit area needed cleaning and cutting. Bed was awful. The floors creeked every step. Had a strong dog oder and stained carpet.. Get location to monument and biking.

The house was outdated but very clean and more than adequate. Our only complaint was the air conditioning unit was not functional. It was rather warm our weekend and early season, but we would expect the owner to stay on top of things like that. We would definitely stay here again with a guarantee that the AC is functional.

If you want to experience the Redlands and nature you will be very happy with this stay. There are incredible views in almost every direction. Thomas is a great host, a bonus the property has amazing laundry facilities.

It was a nice, pleasant house. View outside was lovely and it’s very close to trails.

This property was in an awesome area with hiking trails right out of the back yard. The host was very responsive and flexible with our check in / check out process and easy to reach. 10/10 would recommend.

Monument out back door. Cyclists dream.

Loved that you couldn’t hear the road from the house. Found a hummingbird feeder that I filled and they came to feast right away.
Appreciative that the construction workers behind us didn’t start too early in the morning.
Comfortable bed.

The house was nice , beautiful view and a very quiet location. Owner was very accommodating. Would recommend this home

Property was just as listed and met our needs perfectly…far enough out of town to let us feel like we were out in the country, but close enough for us to enjoy all the family activities in town during the weekend. All amenities were exactly as described and the owner was very responsive to our needs.

The lodging was pleasant, clean, and comfortable for our 4-day stay, which are the important things. The owner, Thomas, checked on us the first night. When I had a small request a day later, he responded promptly. We did see quail, even a-courtin'! Minor comment is that with new house construction on one side of property, listing photos should be updated. This is a beautiful location, but not on its own anymore.
4.9
Comfortable home, convenient to everything. It was a pleasure to have coffee with the quail, and to have such easy access to beautiful trails.

Great location! Fast internet, close to mountain bike trails. Very comfortable home.

A friend and I traveled to grand junction for a mountain bike clinic and stayed at this house. Easy to find, close to everything, great communication with the owner. Worked perfectly!

Great house! Laundry on site. Very close to everything.

This property is as advertised and had all amenities I needed for a good week of working remotely and biking. The Lunch Loop trail system can be accessed from the property, so no need to drive to a trailhead. The proximity to Colorado National Monument is a bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

This property was quiet, convenient and great hiking trails for me and my dog. Really enjoyed the stay.

This is our second stay at this property. It's perfect for us with our 2 small dogs! Outside of town so very quiet, but close to everything we need!

Pretty much a nice budget alternative place to stay where you spend more time out than in the rental. Had the amentities one would expect, perfect for the mountain bike riders; trails right out the back door or down the street. I was in Grand Junction for photography. The bed was fine for a good night's sleep.

Right next to colorado national monument. The big backyard is currently under renovation but still plenty of space to hang around and star gaze. Colorado monument is a mile away and there are so many trails nearby. Amazing

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Colorado National Monument right outside the door made for spectacular sunrises. Except for forgetting some shirts (our fault) we had no issues. Clean and comfortable, homelike feeling. We will definitely rebook here for our next visit to Grand Junction !!!

The twin house, units 1 and 2, is located about 2 miles from the entrance to the Colorado Monument National park, to the west, and one mile, to the east, to the lunch loops mountain bike trails trailhead. Downtown Grand Junction is a little more than 5 minutes away. Just past the lunch loops trailhead is the cafe mentioned in other reviews, a bar and grill, and a little further a shopping center with a grocery store.
We enjoyed both the cafe and bar and grill. The Grand Junction farmers market on Thursday evenings was great with live music. The main street is closed for a few blocks in order to house the market vendors.
The house is older and some things like the kitchen cabinets show their age, but everything was serviceable and there were plenty of glasses, cups, plates, bowls and utensils. There is a large dining area table and the living room is huge. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of extra towels. One minor complaint is that the shower curtain is mounted too close to the tub and it is nearly impossible to stand facing the showerhead without the shower curtain sticking to you.
If you have a dog, request unit one which has a fenced area in the back. We were in unit 2 and had to be outside with our dog when we let him out.
The landscape is desert, with prickly pear cactus and scrub brush. I do not know where the property lines are but there was a lot of construction garbage in the brush areas around the house, which took away from natural beauty.
If you come here for the trails, it is a one mile hike/ride through the valley below the house, to the trailhead. The trail system is very well organized and maintained.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay and the convenience of not having to drive to the trailhead.

Great location, just far enough out of GL to enjoy the quite and bunny watching.

It was a nice little condo. Very basic but very clean and had all the necessary items. It was a great location by the monument and the view in the back was beautiful. I would stay again.

Lovely rural setting off the road near Colorado Monument Park, but only 7 minutes from town! Very quiet and spacious. Host lives nearby and is helpful and friendly!

We needed a place to stay for my Father's Funeral in Grand Junction
We needed a place to stay for my Father's funeral in Grand Junction, and my brother and I had stayed here previously when we had visited my Father a few weeks prior - This place has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom, and was close to where my Dad lived, and so it was better than a hotel if you don't need the "hotel amenities"
I would be nice if the swamp cooler has a thermostat though, because it is currently either on with a high or low fan setting, or off...

Work trip
