About this house rental
The Nook is the perfect cozy place for you and your family to enjoy. There is a calming seasonal creek and pond that runs through the meadow in the back. In the meadow there is a bonfire pit with plenty of seating for the whole family to all sit back, relax and roast smores under the twinkling starts. The bonus is that this loft is less than 10 minuets from downtown Coeur d'Alene. Have the fun of the city while still being able to relax under the stars in the country at night.
During your stay at The Nook, you can follow the led lights to the tire swing. Take a left and past the meadow are trees with swings for you to enjoy nature. This property also includes a fully-equipped kitchen, cozy living area with satellite TV and DVDs with a pull out couch for an added sleeping space, dining nook, and a private bedroom with a queen bed and ladder to the loft area where children can enjoy. Please be aware that this is not for very young children as it is up a ladder and there is a water heater behind the striped curtains. See picture. Outside, guests are welcome to explore the shared property, meadow, and seasonal creek. Parking is available onsite for your convenience.

We found this place as we were traveling through Idaho. It was nice to have a warm shower and a bed to sleep in after sleeping in a tent all week at different campgrounds. Not far from downtown. Quite place to relax and recharge.

Overall it was a nice place to stay. Seclusion and nature were the main pluses. It was 100 degrees the day we checked in and the a/c took a little bit to cool it down. But all in all a nice place to stay.

Our stay was great. Bed was comfortable, everything we needed in the kitchen and for laundry. We didn’t have internet and was very hot the first night. Just a small A/C unit. Overall great place

This VRBO was not private, not family friendly, and was very close to the owner's primary residence. There were several safety concerns as well as a number of individuals and cars roaming the property in the immediate area of the rental. The access to the meadow is through the owner's back yard. I would not recommend this VRBO. We left the property and checked into a hotel last-minute. The second bedroom is actually a tiny cubby with no closet and no windows and a hot water heater. The "beds" are toddler-sized and the "ceiling" is extremely low.

We stayed here with our 16yo for two nights. He loved the loft, we loved the super-comfortable bed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and there were ample towels and pillows. The unit is upstairs from their workshop, around the back of the building, very close to the main house. The website shows this as being in town, but it's about 10 minute drive through the wooded roads as you start up the mountain. we got to see deer and wild turkeys just on that short trip. Coming back at the end of the day was relaxing and comfortable.
We had a fantastic stay and absolutely will be back!

It’s a really cool and gorgeous location. Far enough away from town that you have privacy and close enough to do whatever you want. The house is really nice and cute. It was just a little smaller than we thought, but it is great!

The cozy and comfortable home was clean and well kept. I really enjoyed the setting along the creek in the trees. The location is perfectly situated in the quiet and lush forest and yet also just minutes from downtown CdA and all the nearby attractions. Really an enjoyable time Hope to return again soon.

Really nice and clean place just 10 minutes away from everything in CDA. Enjoyed strolling around the grounds with our family.

Cute, Quiet Place
Overall, we were satisfied with The Nook. Upon arrival we arrived to baked cookies, that was a sweet surprise! It was very hot, they did have 2 A/C units that were in the bedroom (however, there were no other windows they could be placed in, so the bedroom stayed cool just not the rest of the place). The upstairs loft was very hot as well. We did find a very dusty fan for the kids to use in the loft which helped. It’s not for 6 adults (we brought 3 teens plus an 11yr old), maybe 2 adults and 1 teen with 2 small kids). The bedroom is super cute, the bed was inviting, however definitely if 2 people are sleeping on it, it needs updated, you sink to the middle. Also, the lights from the main house shine in, not a huge deal, but personally I like it dark when I sleep. The 2nd/3rd day it cooled off, we had been at Silverwood all day , so were a bit chilly, I would recommend in the Winter that more linens be placed in closets, we made through since kids brought their own personal blankets, but could be an issue for someone else. The loft would be a blast for younger kids if some décor was added and railings for safety. If you’re looking for the fun star projector, check the kitchen closet! Again, we were satisfied, it was a home base just for eating, sleeping, then playing at Silverwood so worked out for us. The owner was nice and communicated great!

Lovely spot in Coeur d’ Alene
Diana’s place is as wonderful as she is.
Comfy, pretty and has everything anyone needs.
We liked that it was a little bit away from town, but not too far!
We saw wildlife including a deer and fawn.
We enjoyed our stay.

Family vacation
We had a wonderful time at silver wood theme park. Diana was very nice to let us set off fire works for the grandkids at the property on the 4th 👍 she was very helpful when we needed her! Thank you Diana 😊

Quiet and simplistic
We had a good stay at The Nook. The property is conveniently located but the house is still very quiet and remote. The house was clean and had many comforts. I was a little surprised by the property, however. This is essentially a living space over a garage, the floors are sealed plywood, the loft had no safety railing, and the creek in the back of the property was very small and overgrown...I did not appreciate this from the property description. I wish there had been a little more of a view and finished feel to the property. Diana was very kind and responsive.

Quiet, cute, cozy, and close by
We had a great time at the Nook.
When we first arrived on the property, it was a little difficult to determine where we should go, but there are signs to lead the way, and Diana was available if we had any questions.
The Nook was exactly what we were looking for -- a quiet place close by to CDA downtown area, but a little bit off the beaten path in a nice, quiet area surrounded by nature. The place was clean and well decorated and felt like a home-away-from-home. I wish we could've stayed longer! The next time we're headed to CDA, the Nook will be our first choice.

Quiet and secluded
This is a great place for a small little family or single couple. I don’t recommend it if you have teenagers or more than one adult.

Nice stay
We had a great stay at the Nook. I really appreciated Diana’s communication and easy check in. The property was a nice home base for our Coeur d’Alene adventures. It is located in a nice, scenic, and quiet wooded area that is close to and has easy access to the city. Very nice area. My kids did sleep in the loft and it worked great for them as they are older. The first night was pretty warm as there is only one window ac unit in the bedroom but there are plenty of fans available, so it works. The homemade cookies and flowers on the counter were a nice touch. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

It was too hot for us to stay
The property is located a bit out of town, so a drive from the local areas. We arrived after a very long day of driving, and my husband thought, that it being the upper level of a garage that there was no way it would cool down enough in the 80+ weather to be comfortable. It was warm when we arrived with the a/c window unit located in the bedroom running full blast.
All the heat from the garage below feeds up there. The upper loft was an oven, and we knew our kids wouldn’t be able to sleep up there in the heat.
That being said, the unit is cute, clean, the owners baked some cookies on the counter on our arrival. They were helpful, and refunded our cleaning fee, since we couldn’t stay. We ended up going to a hotel in town

Great stay at The Nook
We had a good time staying at The Nook. The apartment had everything we need and it was great working with Diana. The place was small but fit our family of 5 fine. It was in a pretty location but still close enough for everything we wanted to do. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Vacation
We enjoyed out stay at the cozy nook. It was very comfortable for the two of us. Diana let us rinse our bikes off after a mucky ride on the Hiawatha Trail, thank you Diana. And your homemade cookies were delicious!

Coeur d' Alene chalet
Very clean. Kitchen was cute with nice picture window to view the woods and arched windows in dining room and sitting area offers good light and views. Grandsons enjoyed the loft area for sleeping. Hostess brought delicious fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. Nice touch. Close to downtown Coeur d' Alene.

Cozy accommodations just outside of Coeur d'Alene
We really enjoyed this property -- cozy, comfortable accommodations just outside of Coeur d'Alene. You're minutes away from anything you need, but you feel like you're in a peaceful treehouse when you're inside The Nook. Wonderful hospitality from the owners and the washer and dryer was an added bonus when traveling with many children. Thank you!

Rustic and Just a Little Out of the Way
This home is just a couple miles outside of Coeur d’Alene— which means you get to see the wildlife that lives in this beautiful area. I saw deer, quail, hummingbirds, butterflies... and the two friendly cats that live (outside) on the property. My daughter loved the loft, and i appreciated the host’s prompt and friendly communication.
