Perfect location! Beautiful house!!

The house is perfect for having kids of all ages. It was simple and not overdone like so many that can have too many things that can get in the way of small hands and feet. The host was amazing and checked on us daily via email. Check in/out instructions were very clear!

Overall great place to stay for a beach vacation. Beach is a walkable distance from the house. Beds were comfy. Great communication with the property owner.
4.0 / 10.0
If you are looking for cheap and no extra this might be the place otherwise not kid friendly nor safe: the stairwell going up to the main decking and front door has a huge gaping hole that a small child could easily fall through. The microwave doesn’t work. The house is very warm at night. The running water to the tubs/showers is mediocre. The house was barely cleaned for our use and definitely the floors had not been mopped..my kids feet turned black just walking around on the beach house flooring.
The interior is lacking proper upkeep and maintenance
Also the exterior patio under the beach house had substance dripping from pipes. Exposed wiring. The exterior house lacked a water house which would be super friendly and helpful being a beach house to rinse off beach stuff or even your kids. The exterior of the house is definitely lacking proper maintenance and upkeep.
Pictures online are not entirely what you get.
Our check in code was provided to us around 3 and house keeping was still on site when I showed up , what appeared to be them smoking at the picnic table On the carport under the beach house. I left to return later with the kids to find the house in sub par clean state.
Again, if you are looking for a no thrills /frills cheap place to stay for the night , this is it. Otherwise , would not suggest for family with kids wanting a nice beach stay.

We enjoyed our mini vacation at the beach and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It was so close to everything we needed and the walk to the beach was amazing. The host was very nice and answered any questions I had promptly. We will definitely be booking this house again on our next vacation to Crystal Beach.

The property was not clean at all and roach infested.

We were in the area for the triathlon in Bolivar and thought it would be fun to go down a few days early to play at the beach.
I recognize that coastal properties do show signs of weathering more quickly than inland properties. This home needs a little TLC. It needs a thorough cleaning, the bathtubs lacked stoppers which made bathing children difficult, and one of the rooms had very poor air flow from a/c and was not cool enough to occupy in late summer months. The furnishings are “tired” with slipcovers that wouldn’t stay in place.
Prior to booking, I asked for and was granted permission to extend checkout to noon. When I got back to the house after the race just a little before 11, someone was there trying to get into the house. I reminded them that we had extended the departure time to allow us to pack up and shower after the race. They seemed unaware of the arrangement.
I will likely choose a different property next time we are in the area.

We had a great time. The beach is a short walk. The shed under the house was convenient place to stash the stroller. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed watching movies on the Roku tv when we weren’t out. Ac kept us cool. Washer dryer really nice to have.
There were small issues to deal with. Ac leaks water on the picnic table. Sandy bedsheets. Leak under kitchen sink. Dishwasher filter clogged with sand. No shower or hose outside to rinse off. Nothing we couldn’t handle, and certainly nothing to ruin a great time at the beach. Crystal beach is less crowded than other beaches and being able to stay so close was great.

The property was very affordable and if we had needed it, there was room for a large family. It was conveniently located near enough to the beach that you could walk if you wanted to. The condition of the property was adequate, but not up to the standards of a decent motel or most the VRBOs we have stayed at. Only about half the lights work, the toilet in the main bathroom lists to one side and bangs into the wall when you sit. There were bits of food under the table that had attracted ants. The dishwasher was full of dishes. The coffee maker hadn't been emptied of grounds since it was last used. The floor is uneven and has spongy areas that make you feel a bit off balance as you walk. The king bed is good, but the room it is in does not have adequate window covering to prevent the streetlight that just outside it from lighting the room. We tried the queen bed and that room was darker, but the bed was too hard from my liking. Like I said, it was a bargain so I'm not dissatisfied.

There was a problem you don’t have bugs underneath the kitchen sink I wasn’t sure if it was a roachs are what. I wished there would have been an elevator left so next year, I’m going to stay closer to the beach with an elevator lift. Y’all might need to talk to your cleaning people about where they keep the garbage can to clean better and under the rug in the living room there was quite a bit of sand. Oh, and you’ll need a water hose out there people do use water hoses. My barbecue grill stuff was dirty. I didn’t even use it but overall my stay was good. The beds were very comfortable. Pillows were awesome but overall I enjoyed it.

Overall, this place is great for a weekend in Galveston. It’s within walking distance of Crystal Beach. Plenty of beds for families with kids.

Nice little property. However this property is labeled “pet friendly” which is not the case. He only has “dogs only welcomed and weight limits” listed. Which my brothers dog met but he asked for the breed and said he didn’t allow that breed. This is after the fact that it was paid for. If you have breed restrictions, they should be listed so I didn’t waste my time and money. So my brother wasn’t able to come because of that. Then I get a message that the “cleaning” people were there before check in. When we get there, there was dog hair all over the couch. A huge clump of hair in the tub. There was no soap in the bathrooms to even wash your hands. The middle room doesn’t have ac in it so 0 air circulation. Luckily we only stayed one night. But for the amount we paid for that night, you would think they would hire someone who actually cleans the house and have simple things like soap there.

The place was super clean, from the living area to the bedrooms, which made me feel relaxed. The best part was the kitchen. It was not just clean but also well-stocked with cooking essentials, making meal prep easy. I enjoyed being able to make meals without needing to go out.

Property was nice. We really only used it to sleep, but it was clean and well stocked with basic amenities.

It was not the cleanest property, but that being said it’s literally walking distance to the beach. You definitely need to go to grocery store before coming. I would stay here again, the host was very quick to respond to all my questions.

Overall, the house was good, but there were a few things that were in need of repair. The beds were comfyand the house was spacious for the amount of people we had, but there wasn't enough seats at the table and the outside shower was missing. This was an issue for cleaning off from the beach.

Let me begin by saying, the management company did their best to make things right, but there should have never been something to "make right".
1. Property hasn't been cleaned in several years, if ever. When I wiped the top of the kitchen cabinets with a paper towel and bleach the towel was brown. The bathroom was not in any better shape. When I opened the shower curtain to see the tub the curtain rod fell & hit me in the head.
2. Trash littered all over the property - beer cans, empty travel size shampoo containers and other misc. items.
3. There was no bath towels, cup towels, no paper towels or coffee as stated on the site.
4. The kitchen felt like a crime scene. The sink was brown & even bleach didn't cut through the grime. The decorative items were soaking wet from where they half-assed washed them & shoved them back in their locations - this included the coffee container, glasses and utensils to cook with. Did I mention that there was blood on the counter fronts and tops? The stove was covered with caked on calcium splatters from water boiling over on it repeatedly.
5. Code Violations & holes - The hot water heater is not safe for anyone staying there. The wiring has no conduit to cover it and other infractions. The outlets and light switches are punched in from aggressive behaviors and yes there is an actual hole punched in the wall in one of the bedrooms.
At least 35 photos were submitted so hopefully something is done before it is rented again.

Great Location
The stay was good. The cleanliness could of been better for sure!! There was crumbs left in the kids bunk bed, dog hair was found throughout the house (in all the beds and on the floors), dishwasher didn’t work but we hand washed the few pots we cooked with, internet was not so great 2G, and 5G.A few pests but I am assuming that is common. There was a crack in the front window but sealed. The refrigerator didn’t get too cold inside but we used the freezer. The housekeeping could of done a little better to get the hair off the floor and the stains out of the comforter and sheets. Toliet seats was loose and could use tightened. The toilets was not cleaned so I had to clean them once I got there. Only 1 Tv in the living room and not in the rooms. Couch was stained, pillows was a little dingy. Overall it was easy to check in and out. The property manager was very professional and communicated the whole time. Very great location to the beach. I wouldn’t say walking distance but close.
