About this cottage rental
Find peace, quiet, solitude - and high-speed internet - at this cabin nestled into Vermont's central hills. The cozy, wood cabin overlooks a small stream and beautiful, rolling meadows. Inside, you'll find a studio cottage with a queen-sized bed in a sleeping alcove adjacent to the living room, a full kitchen (oven, range, fridge, sink and dining table) with basic utensils, pots, pans and dishes, and a full bathroom (shower, sink, toilet).
The cabin is heated by a gas stove - providing the cozy ambiance of a woodstove with the luxury of a thermostat control! A record player is enabled with bluetooth to play your favorite playlists. High-speed internet allows you to check on emails, make WiFi-enabled calls, or stream shows. A wall of south-facing windows provides the perfect place to watch snow fall over the adjacent stream.
Note: If you're looking forward to curling up and watching movies, BYO device for watching shows or movies, as the cabin does not have a TV. While we do have great internet, we recommend downloading favorite playlists or movies before you arrive, just in case.
Outside, numerous sustainability measures are helping to reduce the footprint of the farm. Two large solar arrays offset the electricity usage of all five buildings. A large greenhouse extends the growing season and allows us to offer local produce and flowers for sale. Our flock of chickens consumes much of our food scraps and provides sustainable fertilizer for the gardens, as well as year-round eggs. And our free range children keep life exciting and will be enthusiastic about showing you their latest snow forts, mountain bike trails, sledding runs or dams in the stream. Coming next: lambs and Indian runner ducks!
Bring your boots, snowshoes, skis, or sleds to explore the 26 acres on rustic logging paths and surrounding dirt roads. We are close to Montpelier, Northfield, Norwich University, the Mad River Valley, and Randolph. Come for foliage, skiing, mountain biking, or relaxing. (45 minutes to Sugarbush base lodge, 1 hour to Stowe and Killington.)
Travel tip: Snow tires and/or AWD are strongly recommended for winter or spring travel anywhere in Vermont. Weather conditions can change fast here and it can take hours before road crews have time to plow and sand all the hundreds of miles of roads in each town.

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely amazing time here. The property owners were very friendly and communicative. The cabin is exactly as it looks in the pictures: cozy, cute, and clean! It was so nice to be surrounded by greenery. We meal-prepped/brought all of our food, but the cabin had some of the essentials, like coffee filters or tin foil. Check in and check out was also super easy/simple. I would highly recommend this property, and hope to go back!

What a beautiful part of the state of Vermont!

Wonderful place, just need to fill in holes and level the driveway out, especially at the garage. Hope to stay again one day, but I plan on driving my corvette next time, which sits low to the ground.
Also, they are serious about no cellular service, but I enjoyed the quietness without my phone working.

Everything that mattered was lovely… cozy wood stove and sitting area, comfy bed, gorgeous views of just trees and easy check-in/out. Had delicious dinners at Short Notice in town and with food from East Warren community Market. Let the shower run a bit and bring soap.

We came for honeymoon and loved the cottage! It is set back in the beautiful Vermont countryside. The owners left us flowers and a happy honeymoon draen picture which we loved! They were so helpful on giving us suggestions on places to hike that are off the beatrn path. We loved dinner in and playing some of their records on the record player to dance to. A wonderful place to go and unplug. Great centralized location we went to Stowe and Woodstock (which we loved even did the New England Falconry which is amazing Zooey our Falconer was the best). We also went and 1 1/2 to New Hampshire to check out the White Mountains. Hannah and I were in contact before and during our visit. So attentive and responds quickly. We had no issues with our stay and this cottage truly made our honeymoon!! We will definitely be back!!

If we could give this cabin more stars we would! Nestled in between beautiful mountains with a small babbling brook outside our bedroom window, it was the perfect place to call “home” for a few days. The hosts were welcoming and friendly but gave us the space and privacy we wanted. The cabin itself was well appointed and defined cozy! We loved listening to albums as we sat by the warm gas lit wood stove and read in the evenings. We had some of the best nights sleep here as well!
We already look forward to returning here next year, but next time we will stay much, much longer! Vermont is a beautiful state especially for people who enjoy the outdoors!
Thank you Hannah and Cyrus You made us feel very welcome! You are truly wonderful stewards of this land.

This was a perfect basecamp for our weekend adventures. We were in the area for the Norwich homecoming weekend and this cabin was a very convenient ~10 minutes from campus. We also took the opportunity to explore some of the hills and mountains in the area and the centralized location made getting to hikes super easy. Our host gave a great recommendation for an amazing hike (Mt. Abe) and also reminded us that we needed to hit up the grocery store before it got too late.
The cabin was beautiful and clean, the bed soft and comfortable, the shower hot and spacious. The babbling brook just outside the porch door was the perfect background ambience to a relaxing stay. I knew the host was available if we needed her (we didn't) but overall it seemed like we had the whole farm to ourselves.
Will definitly plan on staying here again.

The creek that runs by the cottage was lovely. The sound of water was relaxing and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and just listening. Loved just slowing down.

Just remote enough to feel secluded but within range of everything we needed to get done. Hopefully we'll be back...

Clean, rustic, charming cabin hidden in the Green Mountains of Vermont! The humming bird feeder on the back porch was a plus. And we made good use of the outdoor gas grill. The bed was clean and comfy. The locking mechanism for the back door works fine once you know the process, but some instructions should be posted by the door. Be advised that the seclusion comes with intermittent cell phone service which is common throughout the state. Once we got connected to the cabin wifi, no problem. But getting the lock box code in advance would have helped since we could not call out when we arrived. Cyrus was available next door and got us in.

Perfect
This cottage was great. It was far enough away from everything that you felt like you could unplug. The hosts are very responsive and answered any questions we had. The setting on the farm was peaceful and back deck was perfect. We’ll be back!

Lovely cottage, Sweet location
This cottage was a great home base for a VT ski weekend: one day of local backcountry touring and another day of downhill resort skiing. The cottage was spacious yet also cozy, and had everything we needed. The turntable was a fun bonus!

Almost a 5 star
My husband and I always do our best to give an honest and fair review of our accommodation stays to benefit both guest and host.
As a new listing and that we had no reviews to go by, we found Hannah's farmstay most definitely has the potential of a 5 star rating with just a few tweaks which we feel confident Hannah and Brock the property manager, will readily rectify.
Brock genuinely welcomed us and made us feel comfortable asking for any assistance if needed. Thank you.
We found the farmstay a gem of a location for a country getaway for two.
We enjoyed the 20 min drive to Montpelier through surrounding country towns and other points of interest.
It backs on to a little creek and has a lovely country outlook.
We had snow and enjoyed the cosy studio style dwelling. Furnishings are tastefully done and inviting. Comfy bed. Loved the cosy gas fire although no low setting so does brighten the room on and off a little during the night which some may find disruptive to their sleep. We are light sleepers but found it added to the cosiness when we did wake. Kitchen stocked well but just a few little updates with some of the appliances/utensils would be a good idea.
One of the main reasons we did not give the farmstay a 5 star rating was due to a cleanliness oversight which can and I'm sure, be easily rectified. The fridge and microwave had not been cleaned inside and bench splatters still evident around the sink/window sill area. Checking the cleanliness before a guests arrival needs to be a priority.
With that in place, you will find yourselves enjoying Hannah's Farmstay and you won't be disappointed!

Just what we were looking for
My husband and I had a great time at this house for a weekend getaway. The place was clean, tastefully decorated, and the perfect size for two people. The views of the surrounding farm and forest from the windows were beautiful to wake up to. A state park is located 7 minutes away. The hosts provided vinyl records of different genres to play on the bluetooth speaker/record player and also offered their sleds for sledding down the hills on the property. Indoor parking in the garage meant no worrying about security or cleaning snow off the car. The heater worked well at keeping the space warm and the little fire inside added to the cozy vibes. The internet worked well throughout the weekend. Kitchen was well furnished and we were able to cook all our food at home during our stay. Plenty of hangers in the closet and a couple of drawers available as well for storage. Only cons were that the oven door was difficult to open and the interior was not in best condition. The baking sheet provided was to large to fit the broiler drawer so I would recommend bringing a small tray if you planned to broil anything. Otherwise the oven functioned well and we were able to bake salmon for dinner and cookies for dessert :) Additionally one of the windows doesn’t have shades but we were able to put up a spare bed sheet for privacy.
