We did not have to spend much time here d/t our schedule. Luckily this was close to everything that we needed to be close to. Overall, definitely an older Boone cabin/home that could use a little TLC. Property manager was excellent with communication and so kind.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It is convenient to everything in Boone and includes lots of kitchen essentials. We spent most of our time on the spacious back porch enjoying the fresh air.

The house was easy to find, clean when we arrived, and in a very convenient location to downtown Boone. The seclusion of the house was very welcomed. The host was communicative and made sure we did not have any questions or concerns before our stay and was willing to work with us during of needed. Overall a nice house that we would stay at again.

This was exactly the type of place we were looking for. Clean, private and close to the amenities of a town yet you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Easiest check-in ever! Very nice communication and knowing that if there were any problems, they would be solved quickly. The grandfather clock reminded me of staying with my mother. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Will try for this place again in the future. Thanks.

We stayed here for a visit to Tweetsie. The house was in a great location (only 13 minutes away!) It was a bonus that we could bring our dog with us. Everything was as described in the listing. The driveway was very steep but we had no issues in our truck.

I went back and forth between four and five stars, but ended up with 5 because this was by far the most affordable stay, convenient location, clear communication, and wonderful host. Other guests may be intimidated by the baseboard heat or quaint accommodations but it was perfect for us and our dogs. Very thankful for the hosts who were communicative and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was great but there is a musty damp odor when entering the property. The bathroom and kitchen were cleaned but the house had not be dusted in a long long time. We put doughnuts in the microwave so they would be safe and when we opened the next morning there was a roach crawling on the box. There was chewing within the walls of the bedrooms by a mouse or other creature. The bedding in the single bedroom had what appeared to be pet hair. I ended up washing the sheets on arrival due to hair and other evidence that they were not throughly cleaned. I am not sure about the other bedroom. One of the main lights in the yard was not working. The wi fi password was not Legible which was small thing. Overall the place needs a deep deep cleaning and pest control. Again great location and great trip to Boone! Was hoping this would be a repeat property to use since I have a son in his first year at App State.

This property was in great shape and just the right size for my wife and my 2 year old daughter and my parents. It’s in a great location relative to town, but also quick to get to outside attractions. We really enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again!

This is our second stay and a perfect location for the Grandfather Highland games. Plenty of room and a good distance from everything. The host is very easy to get a hold of and answers any and all questions we have.

I most definitely will not rent that cabin again first of all there is black mold and mildew under the kitchen sink I messaged in advance to make for sure the grill would work and it did not work like they said it did there are cobwebs everywhere it's not the cleanest we killed cockroaches and it's flea infested it was so bad we checked out at 6:00 this morning instead of staying till 11:00 if I had not of prepaid in advance I would have found someplace else to stay

There were couple of safety issues - A leak in the kitchen caused the tile floor to be wet all the time. There are loose boards on the deck where you could step on one end of the board and the other end would come up in the air. Additionally, the mattresses were hard, and the pillows seemed to be scrap foam in a pillowcase.

The property is dated but nicely kept. I’d like to see a little bit more done with the beds and pillows to make things a little bit more comfortable. It’s a nice location close to everything.
