This newly built 4500 sq ft Scandinavian-inspired home ideally located in Lakeside, MI (on the lake side of Red Arrow Highway) offers a wonderful clean aesthetic, abundant natural light greeting you as you walk in the front door to this stunning home where no detail has been overlooked and views of the outdoors are available in every direction. The home includes a wealth of luxury amenities that include a heated, in-ground pool with a retractable safety cover, an outdoor shower, a pool house complete with 65” tv, ping pong table, kitchenette with refrigerator and bathroom, an oversized screened-in porch with couches and outdoor dining table with seating for 10, and a firepit to gather around to wind down the day plus (5) 65" smart led tv's throughout the home.
The main floor features spacious open living spaces that flow from kitchen, to living room to dining room, to the screened porch, all perfect for gathering. The kitchen features a 15' island with seating for seven, a six-burner professional range with stainless steel griddle and double oven, built-in Miele refrigerator and custom cabinets stocked with everything you’ll need.
The dining room features seating for eight along with a dry bar with wine/beer cooler. The living room has two full sized couches and two accent chairs, a gas fireplace and views of the outdoors in every direction.
Additionally on the first floor, you'll find the ease of two bedrooms for those who don't want to tackle stairs, both with king beds and en suite bathrooms, one featuring a steam shower, custom closets and built in desks. A powder room and mud room with high capacity washer/dryer round out the first floor.
Stepping outside through huge, oversized sliding doors, you step onto the pool deck complete with two couches, chaise lounges, lounge chairs, a dining table with market umbrella, a Weber Summit gas grill and the extra large 16’ x 42’ pool. The pool is 3’ in the shallow end and slopes to 7’ at the deep end. It has benches and entry/exit points in every corner along with a safety ledge that runs the entire perimeter of the pool. The pool house features three roll up doors for plenty of fresh air and shade should those prefer to be out of the sun.
Back inside and heading upstairs, the second floor features five bedrooms in total - two with king sized beds and bathrooms (one is en suite), one bedroom with a queen sized bed, the fourth bedroom features custom-built bunks with eight twin XL beds (each bed has its own reading light and power outlet) plus there is an adjoining bathroom. A den with door for full privacy features a sectional couch that also houses a queen sleeper sofa. Plenty of additional floor space in the den could easily accommodate a pack ‘n play, air mattress, etc.
Beach access is a pleasant 10 minute stroll down beautiful Lakeshore Road to one of the largest road-end beaches in the area with a shaded sand path leading to/from the beach for easy up and down to the beach.
Whistlestop Grocery for morning coffee, pastries and sundries is within easy walking distance while next door to Whistlestop is the Red Arrow Roadhouse, a perfect choice for late lunch or dinner. A few minutes further is the heart of Union Pier with Black Currant bakery, a fully stocked market and a deli, to name a few.

We loved this house! The layout was perfect for our getaway with friends that included multiple families. Having 4 king size bedrooms with attached bathrooms made it perfect for a group family or friend vacation getaway. Additionally, there were enough other rooms for us to have the kids all in comfortable sleeping environments. The house was well stocked and had a lot of great things for families to enjoy. The owner was extremely responsive and communicative, which made everything very smooth. We could walk to the beach and a cute coffee shop and take a short drive to anything else we needed. We would definitely return!

The house was great. We had 11 adults and a 9 month old. Everyone had a great time. The outdoor area is wonderful and we used the screened in porch a great deal. We loved it. Beds were very comfortable. Walk to the beach wasnt bad but with all our beach stuff decided to rent a golf cart to make it even easier. Kevin was a great host-very responsive to all my questions. Great property!

Our extended family gathered to celebrate my parents' 60th wedding anniversary and this home was perfect. Our group of 13 ranged from age 13 to 81 and was comfortable for all. The house is beautiful and well-equipped, with ample room for us to spread out (screened porch, pool house, upstairs den).
The hosts were very responsive to inquiries while were were there. Would highly recommend.

My family and I have been planning this trip together for a few years. When we booked the house initially, we were informed from the host that VRBO had double booked the home and we had to change our week. Coordinating this trip was timely and took effort. The host emailed me ,with several options, so we had to change our week or find another home. Upon arrival to the home, it was hot, in checking the termostate, it was blank. I reached out to host via text, no response, so I called and he implied that nothing could be wrong as they were just there. After providing pics a service person was called and arrived promptly to fix. Per the contract it states to do a walk thru of the home and provide and damages noticed, which I did. Again, it was implied that his family was there the week before so how can this be. After providing a pic of the hot tub, which was green, he also stated that is the way it is to look. Service was called, it was drained due to poor water quality and fixed. Also upon arrival the bedspread in upstairs master has blood on it, and the coffee makers were stored with old grinds and all. The home was not cleaned to our standards, who relies on a cleaning crew to ensure the property is ready for the next family. Overall we did have a great time, being together, great location but not worth the amount charged for the week. Communications with the host made us feel very unwelcomed. I would not rent this property again.

We enjoyed having many sitting areas in which to relax. Plenty of space. The pool and pool house area were great. We had everything we needed to entertain the children. The house was well stocked and at a picturesque location. Within walking distance to beach. Amenities were copious and varied. Quick response from owner's when questions were asked. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely rent it again.

We had group vacation at this beautiful house and we not only in love with the spaciousness and beauty of this homes but the little touches here and there was the icing on the cake. There were sound machines in every room and little fans. The pool had floats and was pristine. We had 7 kids, so the bunk room was great. The owner was amazing, super responsive and nice. We would absolutely love to stay here again, and will try to book it for next year.

This home is exactly as advertised and in a great location. The pool and hot tub were clean warm on our arrival. The host, Kevin, was very responsive and accommodating to our requests. The beach was only a 10 min walk from the house. We had a total of 6 adults and 6 children during our stay and we had more than enough room (probably could have fit another family with no issue). Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was absolutely the best!! This house is what dreams are made of. The pool was heated and perfect for swimming! We hosted slightly under 20 people and there was plenty of plates, silverware, platters, cups and anything else you might need! The beds were incredibly comfortable! Kevin was very responsive to all questions before our stay!

Kevin and Ellen were tremendous hosts, and their property couldn't have been better for the quiet getaway my friends and I wanted. New Buffalo has plenty to do, but we wanted some distance from all the busyness, and their property delivered exactly what we were looking for. They were incredibly gracious with not only their home but also their service. Would absolutely recommend!

Had a great vacation at this home.... Even though the weather did not cooperate a few days we still had a great time. We had all of our adult children/spouses as well as my 87-year-old father and new grandbaby with us... The amenities are fabulous, the owner was very responsive and it's a great little area for a quiet relaxing trip!!

This was an amazing property to stay at for our Labor Day getaway with friends! The house had plenty of space and activities for all. We were a short walk to the beach, and they supplied ample beach towels, chairs, etc. We did venture to the beach a couple of times, but didn’t need considering the amazing pool setup they had. We had everything we needed and more! The bedrooms were all very clean and comfy, and there were plenty of areas to gather or escape to as needed. The house itself was beautifully designed and decorated. Most importantly, the owners were very accommodating, responsive, and communicative before and during our visit. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting the area!

We had the opportunity to spend the weekend at Kevin's lovely home. We had four families staying together with children ranging from 6 months to 10 years old. It was the best vacation rental experience ever!
Kevin is a wonderful host. Because our group was made up of different families, we had more questions than normal leading up to our stay. Kevin's responses were always very thorough and helpful. It was evident that he took time to answer each question.
The home itself is as beautiful as the pictures. It is a gorgeous home and it is very comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the accomodations. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen/on the grill and it enjoyable.
The pool was clean and very warm. The children really enjoyed it. Speaking of the children, from the pool toys, game closet, game systems, tvs in every room...the kids were easily entertained.
We hope we have the opportunity to stay at this wonderful property again!

The house was fantastic for our large group. Very functional layout that feels comfortable and never crowded. Kevin and Ellen were very easy to work with and did not overlook any detail. The house was well stocked for the many activities to choose from. Kids loved the bunk room and we couldn’t keep them out of the pool! Everything in the house worked perfectly and was easy to use. This house was gorgeous on the inside and out! It is super clean and they had everything we needed from top to bottom! The A/C unfortunately went out on us during our stay, but Kevin had a maintenance man there within the hour to fix it! If we had a question about anything, the owners were very responsive within minutes. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This property is ideal for a group gathering! Our teens were very impressed -- Nana did well! All enjoyed this home immensely!
Plenty of gathering space, never mind en suite bathrooms, and extra bathrooms for those rooms without ensuite. The house sleeps 20 and often times we have found (we are a large family!) that the house does not seat 20 for dining, nor supply dinnerware, cutlery, glassware et al for 20, nor appropriate wifi band for 20 plus cell phones, Ipads, computers....THIS HOUSE DID!!!! Plenty of bathrooms, blankets, linens, serviceware, and WIFI for all! It became a game ...'what doesn't the house have?' When we needed something, we searched...and the answer was 'THEY HAVE IT!!!' Nothing has been overlooked in the design of this home as well as the comfort for we vrbo'ers!
We used the pool room as well -- the ping pong table provided hours of entertainment for all! Since we were a Thanksgiving visit, the pool was not available nor wanted! Brrrrr -- a freezing tailgate at the BC v ND game and a return to luxurious home with blazing (gas) fireplace, a Solo stove at the ready outside....an amazing porch which became our walk-in fridge! A few days later when the weather warmed up, folks gathered there to work. We had several students zooming, several adults working, and plenty of space for little ones to roam while folks had quiet spaces as well. The house was terrific! Kudos to the owners for their design and thoughtfulness in providing so much to make their home special to us. And -- we had a slight problem with the water heater ...the property owner was readily available despite traveling with his family and was considerate of our situation and most accommodating...problem was solved quickly, efficiently and with no hesitation! Bravo again to the property owners.
It must a real treat in the summer to walk to the lake -- 10 minutes away -- we had a Turkey Bowl there! Beautiful beach, beautiful sunsets! And to be able to enjoy the pool. Alas we were there in cold weather ...perhaps another visit in the summer!!!

We had a wonderful stay and family reunion at Kevin's home. It was spacious and stylish, with great amenities (pool with basketball hoop, ping pong, screen-in porch, firepit) and excellent proximity to a beautiful beach. We encountered a few issues with the house but Kevin responded with immediacy and resolved them oh-so-fast. Don't miss Black Currant Bakery, Journeyman Distillery (with one of the largest putting greens, Welter's Folly, in the world without a golf course), and Beer Church Brewing Company. The area also abounds in antiques!

Fantastic trip
We had a wonderful trip with our friends and family. We got away for a birthday and the house was perfect to house everyone. The bunk bed room for the kids was perfect. Perfect Group of Families Getaway
The perfect house to host 4 families for a weekend get away in Michigan! We had 8 adults and 13 kids ages 7-14 and used the house as our home base to ski Timber Ridge (45 min away and great for kids to learn) and visit Journeyman, Stray Dog and stroll the wintry beaches of Lake Michigan. The house is modern, clean, well laid out for groups of families, fully equipped with games, cooking, speakers throughout, gathering areas for cards, ping pong, board games, etc.
The kids enjoyed the bunk room equipped with Nintendo Switch and sleep aid noise machines! The screened porch looked idyllic but unfortunately too cold to use (maybe a fireplace or heaters would make this room 4 seasons?) but we enjoyed the pool house for ping pong and additional recreational space away from the house. The pool looks amazing and we can’t wait to visit again in the summer but it fully delivered the perfect winter weekend get away. The house has great trees viewed from most rooms and feels wooded despite being just a few min walk to the beach. We loved it!

Easy Fall Break
We have stayed in numerous VRBO properties, and I would consider this house one of the best places we have rented. The house was very well stocked with basic items. Beds were comfortable. Quality furnishings all around. Bright cheery atmosphere. The pool was heated and perfect despite the mid-October air temps. Short walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Retreat with Friends
We had the best time at this property. Kevin was so easy to communicate with. He went above and beyond to create a beautiful space for his guests. One of the small things was a white noise machine in each room. Super helpful when there are babies sleeping! The property is beautiful! The house is only about a ten minute walk from a beautiful beach. Overall we had the very best time. No complaints at all.
