Waynesville is nestled between the Blue Ridge and the Great Smoky Mountains, 30 miles west of Asheville. The 469-mile Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the country’s most popular scenic drives, meanders through mountain valleys and loops around Waynesville in route to Virginia’s Shenandoah National Park. The picturesque thoroughfare branches out to more than 100 hiking trails, ranging from short footpaths to the Appalachian Trail, which stretches from Georgia to Maine. Maggie Valley hosts festivals, concerts, events as well as restaurants, antique shopping, museums, live music and much more. Waynesville is a charming, old-fashioned town, with a Main Street lined with pretty trees and brick sidewalks. Wonderful restaurants (southern cooking!) breweries and wine. There are also many quaint storefronts, including a general store, a candy store, and antique shops housed in old buildings. But anyone visiting Waynesville should also spend at least a day exploring Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The park covers cascading waterfalls, more than 1,500 types of wildflowers, and dozens of historical mills and barns.

We wanted a quiet Mountain Retreat for the month of July. The home is lovely and clean. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the noise level. There was ongoing traffic from cars, trucks, motorcycles and emergency vehicles on the street at the end of the driveway. The golf course across the street began their lawn mowers and blowers at 6:30am. There was a continual banging noise that appeared to be coming from one of the automotive shops along BUS 23. Sitting on the outside porch (one of my fav things to do) was hampered. This was not our expectation of a Mountain Retreat. Sadly,we left 5 days early.

Excellent location! All you need for the perfect stay.

An amazing property just outside of waynesville. Incredible mountain and golf course view. Obviously someone’s personal home because it had everything. Hopefully we can come back next year

You can't beat the location. Close to downtown, Smoky Mountain Expressway, Blue Ridge Pkwy, Smoky Mountain National Park and easy drive to Asheville. The house has large rooms (except the shower) and every amenity you'll ever need. The owners are great people and very helpful. My only negative was a very challenging driveway, especially at night. Some lighting at the entrance and along the side would increase drivability and safety. Overall, great value and comfortable home.

In all our years of traveling we have never found a more perfect place for us. The home is beautiful and comfortable. Just minutes from the historic downtown Waynesville with a beautiful view of the mountains. We will definitely be back soon! Our host Sharon was very responsive and helpful. Truly love this place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Waynesville. The Mountain Retreat was perfect. - fantastic accommodations, with everything we needed. Plenty of space, and a great few of the mountains, and convenient to downtown. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Waynesville was more than we were expecting. Cute downtown with shops, craft breweries and dining. So fun!!! We also enjoyed MaggieValley and chasing waterfalls on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The best part was coming home to luxury and comfort. Everything we needed was provided. Even freshly ground coffee from a local shop…yum!! Thank you for letting us share your beautiful home in the mountains. It was such a treat!

This was a great place. The apt/condo is huge. It is very well equipped. Very clean. The views from the balcony are amazing. You see the mountains and the golf course.
It is 2min drive to downtown main st. We do hear the guest underneath you as there is another condo at times but no big deal. Will definitely come back. Waynesville is an awesome community. Everyone was super nice and helpful.

What a great place! Well-equipped, large spacious rooms (I mean really large - plenty off room to move whether you''d be there a month or a few days), super-clean, convenient location to several places in the Blue Ridge area (and Waynesville is a delight), a host who responds quickly even when you just comment - yep, that about covers it. We would easily stay here again when in the area. Just outstanding for several reasons.

Nicly furnished and close to downtown. Great view over golf course to the mountains. Steep driveway with good turn around at the house. Funky layout, but plenty of room for 2 people.

We had a lovely time here!! It was so nice coming back every evening to a beautiful home!! Spacious and clean!! We did have some very noisy couples(3) who stayed below us, one night was terrible because of them.. But we would stay her again!

Excellent!
Our stay was very pleasant. All commodities and amenities were great. Very nice place.. Excellent full kitchen, very comfortable bed, and overall cleanliness. I totally recommend it and would book it again if returning to this area. Near by places that we visit were Biltmore, Smokey Mountains, Mount Pisgah, found many waterfalls with incredible views, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge, and a whole lot of visits to antique malls and vintage shops.
