About this house rental

The Log Cabin on Cawley Pond! We are so lucky to have this much loved home to offer. So many beautiful details within the walls of this two bedroom home will have you smiling and remembering what craftmanship used to be!

Welcome home! Amazing waterfront on Cawley Pond in Sanbornton, NH. The ground level boasts a garage with washer and dryer, open kitchen living area and full bath. Walk out to the screened porch that will provide you with a sense of peace as you look at the beautiful and natural surroundings.

Upstairs is another living room with large entertainment center (hand built that will take your breath away), one bedroom with a Queen sized bed and Twin bed, and another bedroom with a Queen sized bed. The living room has a sleeper sofa, if you need it, and another sitting room with a puzzle table that overlooks the pond.

The outside of the cabin consists of natural shoreline, expansive yard with plenty of room for the kids to run, or to just sit under a tree and, perhaps, read a book! The owner has also, graciously, supplied a canoe and 2 kayaks so you can explore the pond and the surrounding natural areas. There is also a dock that is perfect for fishing. Don't forget to get your fishing license if you are over 12 years of age! Cawley Pond has boating restrictions. A motorized boat can not exceed 5 MPH. And, of course, no jet skis on this beautiful pond. We don't want to disturb the turtles!

The view of the lake is outstanding! The location is a little away from the action but is very peaceful and easy access to the interstate. It was great for leaf peeping in the white mountains and Vermont. The only negative was that heating could have used better instructions. It took us several nights to figure it out, but after that all was good.

This updated log cabin is beautiful and clean and has comfy beds. There are plenty of paper products and even a tray with everything you need to make coffee. Out the back door is a beautiful lake with a dock for fishing. We caught a lot of fish while we were there. Pike, Bass, Crappy, Sunfish and even a little Perch. The house is filled with beautiful things…. Stained glass and woodwork which was created, not purchased. There is a whole bookcase of reading material, including cook books. There are two Kayaks, a canoe and a rowboat available. We took the kayaks out multiple times and discovered a huge beaver den at the edge of the water. I spent many hours just sitting by the lake, soaking up the peace. We will be back next year!

We absolutely loved the cabin during our stay in July. The property is in a quiet country setting but only minutes away from the Lakes and all that the NH Lakes Region has to offer. The house has a well equipped kitchen and lovely views from the porches. It’s a perfect getaway for a couple or family.

All the pictures barely did justice of how quaint this place really is. The yard was huge, the closest neighbor or house to the cabin was nearly a ¼ mile away and was not visible through the trees. The plus was the use of the garage as a dry space for our motorcycle parking at night. Situated on a pond that was loaded with fish and other wildlife. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival to find the house fully stocked with everything we would need to cook or clean with. Major grocery stores were a 20 minute ride away. The cabin on Cawley pond is really a gem of a place. Definitely worth a repeat for another vacation!

My wife and I came up to the Lakes Region for a summer vacation. The house on Cawley Pond was comfortable, with air conditioning on the upper level (which was needed some days). The partly below grade lower level where the kitchen and main bathroom are located does not have air conditioning. However, this level stayed cool the whole time we were there. The screened in porch was delightful and the upper level room overlooking the lake was great for playing games. The bed was comfortable and the house had everything needed - washer/dryer, dishwasher, gas grill and fully stocked w kitchen utensils. The property is shaded and well kept. The pond was cool, refreshing and pristine - lots of fish, frogs, dragonflies, blooming water lilies and we saw the largest heron we had ever seen. There are two kayaks and a canoe. I would highly recommend paddling up the stream that flows into the north end of the lake. It almost feels like you are in the Everglades. The location was away from the busy towns in the area, but easy to go into Tilton for food shopping, etc. and an easy drive to Holderness, Meredith and Laconia. Also numerous day hikes within 25-40 minutes. Our favorites were Mount Kearsarge and Mount Percival/Mount Morgan. We had a wonderful time and would consider coming back!

This was the best property we have ever stayed in wHile in New Hampshire. I reallY needed to de-stress. Sitting on the beautiful porch overlooking the pond completely calmed me. I could have just stayed in the porch all day. Beautiful sunrises! No noisy motorboats, and no other people around! Pure bliss. The home was perfect! The beds were incrediblY comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked and we were able to cook great meals at home. The dishwasher was a plus, as were the washer and dryer! We used the provided kayaks, and took a peaceful kayak ride around the pond. My cousin was catching (and releasing) one dish after another! My ONLy criticism is the need for replacement cushions for the porch furniture. Didn’t ruin our good time! I highly recommend this property if you like to Be away from anY crowds , and just need to chill. I just wish that dogs were allowed. If our daschund Buddy could come with us, we’d rent for a month!
