About this apartment rental
Villas of Marosa is a 15 min walk from the beach in Half Moon Bay at the eastern end of the village of West End. It's a quiet area and is great for swimming and snorkeling. The reef is just a 5 minute swim from the beach. We have a great reputation as a clean and safe place to stay. The hotel also offer laundry service for an additional cost.
We are committed to keeping you safe during this time of Covid. We have safety protocols in place both for staff and guests, including mask wearing and social distancing where possible, hand sanitizer around the property and regular disinfecting and deep cleaning of facilities.
we offer daily cleaning if you required it(clean towels, sheets, pillow case etc.)
we supply 1 towel per guest so if you would like to take a towel to the beach please bring your own. We do clean your bathroom and all common areas daily. Don't be surprised if you find a friendly gecko on your ceiling! They are set in a lovely tropical, jungly garden, that rivals any on Roatan. Most people love them
The option you have chosen is a 1 bedroom apartment, with a bathroom, with two full size beds, and a shared balcony and deck with hammock. It has access to your own personal kitchen. The wi-fi works great inside and outside of your apartment.
There is a 19% tax added to all room prices, Cash dollars are not acceptable if they are ripped, even slightly. The bank just will not take them, in Honduras.
Roatan is a small island and does not have very effective garbage disposal. For that reason we work hard to try to reduce our use of plastics and Styrofoam. The municipality has recently banned plastic bags, plastic straws and Styrofoam with a certain amount of success. We sell 5 gallon bottles of purified water, for a couple of dollars, for a very reasonable price. It would be great if you could bring a water bottle that you can fill from either source, to avoid buying plastic bottles. Maybe you could also bring reusable shopping bags from home as they do not give them out at the stores. The West End town council and the Roatan Marine Park are trying to persuade local businesses to reduce the use of all plastics so please try to refuse plastic bags, straws, plates, cups and Styrofoam while visiting. Thank you for understanding.
It has recently been confirmed that most sunscreens are harmful to the reef as well as DEET, which is a lot of insect repellents.
Occasionally the power goes out here for a couple of hours and it can happens after dark so it is a really good idea to bring a small torch, or flashlight, as some of you call it, if you are not traveling with a smart phone.
And one more thing...the Main road is under construction please walk safe to the beach.
Best Regards
