The house was very spacious, especially the deck!! We loved that it was so close to town but just up the hill far enough that it felt secluded. We had a great time visiting Custer state park, the Badlands, the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood and other area highlights. Communication with the host was quick and helpful

Decided to take a spring break trip to Custer in the off season since the weather was so great. The Home was perfect for our family of 6. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen, the 2 family rooms were great and the location was perfect.

Nicely appointed cabin up a hill on a wooded lot overlooking Custer. Nice deck, wildlife. (Deer and chipmunks), kitchen, and location. Only downside was traffic noise when out on the deck.

The cabin on the hillside had stunning views and exceeded my expectations! The home is spacious and well laid out for entertaining. We were 3 couples and had plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable and play games. The foosball table and the gas fireplace were the indoor highlights that were enjoyed by all! It was a comfortable walk downtown with deer and turkeys on the way down the drive. I will be staying at this home in the future for family and friend gatherings! The hosts were very responsive making the whole trip a breeze.

Custer basecamp
Fabulous house. Fabulous views. Great response time from managers. Centrally located to Mount Rushmore, Crazy House, Keystone and too many more attractions to name here. Would definitely stay here again with family and friends. We were traveling with two developmentally disabled adults. One who needs wheelchair accessible entries and showers. We were able to back up the van to the ramp on the side of house, get out her van ramp and transfer her easily from van to house. Accessible shower and large bathroom in master were perfect for her limited mobility needs with plenty of room to work in. Decks offered beautiful views of Custer and the surrounding areas. Quiet relaxing place to eat and visit. We used the gas grill one night with no problems. The first evening we arrived there was a small doe in the front right off the deck. We watched her for about an hour. Perfect place to come back to after a day of sightseeing.

BlackHills exploring
Great location for exploring surrounding Blackhills attractions. Good house set up for our group with grandparents, parents and 4 kids. Enough seating in living and dining areas. And the kitchen was very well stocked. We had a lovely time.

Holiday Getaway
What a wonderful place to stay. We took our kids for a little getaway in between Christmas and the New Year. We had a fantastic time and the place was just as described. There were 6 of us and we had more than plenty of room. Beautiful scenery and fun wildlife to look out for. We would highly recommend.

Birthday Celebration
The perfect location to celebrate my 50th birthday with my family. Home had the right amount of room for the adults kids to hang-out after a day of visiting the Black Hills. The kitchen was well equipped with good quality appliance and dishes. Enjoyed the view from the hillside and how secluded we all felt being so close to town. Jody was so helpful and quick to answer any questions. We really appreciated her response when we experience a glitch with the hot wwater and sped in trying to get it fixed. I will definitely bring my family back to this home for another fall exploration next fall.

Secluded and Peaceful
This was a perfect set up for 2 couples. The 2 separate seating areas worked great since we woke up at different times. We were able to have quiet time before getting ready for the day. It was a great location which gave us quick access to the highway to go to many of the local attractions in the Hills. We stayed in November so didn’t use the deck, but it would be great for others if staying during warmer weather. Kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and it was very clean.

Great Get-a-Way!
This property was perfect for a fall trip... we spent most of our time relaxing... reading on the decks, hiking, walking, going on drives... the cabin was well-appointed with everything we needed. The weather was absolutely perfect. The location was perfect as well - definitely felt like we were out of town and in the hills, yet just a short walk to downtown Custer! Would definitely stay again. Thanks!

Clean comfy cabin
There was more than enough room for two of us -- had more space than we needed. Clean well stocked kitchen! We enjoyed being on the outskirts of Custer, basically in the country, but still very close to the business district of Custer.

Wonderful location and home!
Everything was even better than expected! We were centrally located to many parks and activities. Minutes from downtown Custer but house feels far away from everything, very private. House is fully stocked, Jody has done a great job making you feel at home and was great at responding. Enjoyed watching the birds, chipmunks, squirrels, and deer from the decks. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Wonderful vacation home
This house was perfect for our friends vacation. There was more than ample room, everything was perfectly clean. And the house had everything we needed. The two living rooms and large TVs came in very handy when we watched our Milwaukee Bucks win the 2031 NBA championship! Custer is central to most all of the wonderful sites that South Dakota has to offer. We will definitely be back.
