About this house rental

RENDEZVOUS is a Newly Renovated, 4 bedroom 3 bath home in the heart of Sunset Village, close to the coffee shop and Ocracoke’s best restaurants.

The left side of the home features three bedrooms, one with an en-suite bath and the two others share a hall bath.

A later addition to the right of the main space added a private and spacious suite with a king bed, bath and private living room area.

The large living area provides ample space for guests, featuring a smartTV (Netflix and Amazon prime included). Dining table for eight, and well stocked kitchen.

Both King bedrooms feature desks and office chairs with extra accessible outlets for guests who work from home.

Sheets and towels are provided - The linen fee is included in the cleaning fee.

No parties of any kind or guests exceeding the reservation. There is no tolerance for breaking this rule - we have neighbors who live in their homes full time with school-age children and are committed to being good neighbors.

Booking guest must be at least 30 years old.

Dogs are welcome with a $100 pet cleaning fee and signed pet agreement. Dogs must be on flea / tick prevention to prevent pest infestations. Max (2) pets per booking.

You will be sent check-in information the day before check-in, and check out instructions before leaving so you’ll know what to expect.

We ended up having to leave a day early due to personal reasons but we enjoyed our time here! Pros: Clean house Great layout Nice deck Convenient location Extra dog crates and food/water bowls Cons: Severe! Mold problem in the en-suite bathroom- coming through walls and ceiling that looks like it keeps getting wiped down but certainly hasn’t helped The furniture was quite uncomfortable and not enough for the amount of people/bedrooms the house holds There was a lack of privacy due to not having many curtains in a lot of the common areas and you could see right through the house in the evening. We never got an email telling us how to get into the house, access WiFi or what to do before we left- none of this was the owners fault and they promptly responded to my messages regarding this. All in all, we had a lovely experience and do recommend this Vrbo.

We were bookended with 2 tropical storms. This place was so nice we didn’t mind the first few days of rain. It was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. There were lots of puzzles for rainy day fun. Located in the village and walkable (or golf cart) to everything. The kitchen was stocked, great linen service, blankets, etc. Lauren communicated every step of the way including giving us heads up to watch ferry service due to hurricanes/wind threats. There was plenty of parking for 3 (or 4 cars) plus 2 golf carts. The deck was nice for sitting outside and a hose at the door for spraying off sand. When you enter the house there is a large area to drop all you stuff, shoes, beach things etc. The suite was outstanding (roomy) and the other 3 bedrooms were great. If you get a chance, book a trip to Portsmouth Island (20 min boat ride and 4 hrs on island shared between beach and village). Take BUG SPRAY. We really enjoyed our stay on the island and at this house. Highly recommend!

We have been coming to Ocracoke for many years but recently sold our condo there. This was our first time renting through VRBO and we were very pleased. We needed a pet friendly place for at least 4 adults and this place fit the bill. We loved the owners careful attention to detail like a well equipped kitchen, beautiful furnishings and even a dog crate, blanket and dish. Lauren was very easy to communicate with. We’re already planning our next trip to this beautiful island and would absolutely stay here!

Located in a tight neighborhood, there was no breeze and the caretaker came by and told our guests (who were there only waiting for us to go to the beach-less than an hour) to move! He also snapped photos of our stay while we were there. The grass was high and was not cut until the last day of our stay adding to the bugs. Interiors are new and comfortable. Kitchen had lots of glass and more formal acoutremont (dishes). Needs more plastic and basics. Lots of room. Needs more comfortable seating. Our dog loved it. HVAC worked really well, also important as it was hot! Needed more towels and housekeeping brought them immediately. Also housekeeping retrieved clothing left in the dryer and promptly returned it to us. Much more good than not however, we are looking for our forever annual retreat and really want to be on the water....

Our family has been going to Ocracoke for years. Now that all my kids are teens we need more space. This property was absolutely perfect. Spacious, clean and fabulously decorated having everything we needed. The kids could bike all over the island & loved having the little suite to hang out and play games. Ocracoke is one of favorite spots , beautiful beaches & wonderful restaurants and now this home is an island favorite as well

This was a perfect house for our family to stay in. My son and his family stayed in the “suite” side of the house. New decor- easy to clean. Within walking distance to town and coffee house. The only thing we needed was a toaster but we improvised.

If you and your family are headed to Ocracoke Island, look no further than Rendezvous! Lauren has done a great renovation of this property! While it has an unassuming exterior, everything inside looks new. It has 4 good sized bedrooms, two with en-suite bathrooms and the other two share a bathroom. Plenty of room for everyone! Comfortable beds and the master bedroom even has its own private sitting room with a TV. The kitchen is well stocked and overlooks a large open sitting/ dining area in which the family can gather. The entrance/ mud room makes a convenient place to drop off wet towels from your trip to the beach. The unit has a large capacity washer and dryer for your convenience. There is even an extra large dog kennel to use when you leave your furry friend at the house while you go out to dinner. The house sits in a quiet neighborhood (with friendly locals) that is close and convenient to restaurants and downtown docks. No, it is not waterfront, but rent a golf cart and you can roam all over Ocracoke. This will certainly be the first place we will look to when we return to Ocracoke Island. So stop looking and choose Rendezvous, you will not be disappointed!

A very generous 4 bedroom house freshly renovated. Everything looked great, and we had a blast there. Easy to get to everything in the village, plenty of deck and yard space for the kids and our dog. This will definitely be the first house I check next time we go to Ocracoke.

Our family had a wonderful time at "Rendezvous"! Lauren has designed her home and furnished it with such attention to detail and comfort in mind! We loved having our morning coffee on the front deck, as well as the close proximity to Ocracoke Coffee! The Island itself is a true wonder, full of so many backroads to explore on foot, bike or of course, the Wheelie golf car rental much loved by our teenage daughters! We have just touched the surface of exploring Ocracoke and are already planning our next vacation!

Beautifully renovated home

We were lucky to be among the first to stay at the house since it was recently renovated. We loved the design touches and light-filled space and it was the perfect size for our family of five (w/ three young kids), plus a grandparent who joined us for part of our stay. The two built-in desks offered quiet places to work when we had to and we enjoyed the open main room and the sitting room in the owner’s suite. We were able to quickly walk and bike to everything in town, so the location was convenient. Great stay!

We stayed at the Cemetery Road house for Thanksgiving. Loved the location, space to host a few friends, nice bedrooms, well equipped, and a bonus family room off one of the master suites. Without question we'd stay here again. Lauren was super responsive to our questions about the property before and during the rental.
