Terrible VRBO, stay away
My experience w/ the host wasn’t good - she was extremely rude and non-accommodating. When I arrived, the toilet has small poop splatters, the home smelled strongly of cigs, and the microwave was broken. They also gave me 1 roll of TP that looked like it was dropped in dirt beforehand. I checked in late (around 630pm) but told the owner right away of my concerns. She was very passive aggressive and dismissive from the start. Her response to the microwave was “yeah, someone stole the plate, it still works but you have to spin yourself.” In regards to the cleaning, she said that I was young and had too many expectations, that this isn’t a 5star hotel. You advertised a clean, smoke free room-that’s all I was asking for. I was flabbergasted by her disgusting attitude.
I had to stay the first night but left afterwards because she didn’t turn on the A/C. Microwave broken; was smoked in; not clean; not comfortable; no A/C; terribly, unprofessional experience with the property manager who does not care about you. My experience with the owner was vile. I reported her and the listing to VRBO. Stay far away. This was the worst booking experience I’ve ever had on any platform.
