There is an adjacent yard with a gas grill, two picnic tables, a children's playset, and a nice Redwood swing. It is a wonderful area for children to play in and has a nice view of the historic downtown area.

The kitchen was so well stocked with supplies for cooking. Aluminum foil, plastic wrap, hot air popcorn maker, very large refrigerator. A gift of complimentary bag of coffee, also. Wonderful hosts.

Property was easy to get to, on a quiet street and owners were easy to communicate with. Full kitchen well stocked, ac, comfortable beds, couches and blanket basket was nice for some tv time. On 2nd level and only stairs so just know youll have to pull luggage up etc. Would stay again. Thanks for everything!

Wonderful stay in this charming Victorian house! The thoughtful inclusion of toys for kids was a big hit with our family. We appreciated the convenient amenities like the laundry machine and full-size fridge. Check-in was a breeze, and the quiet atmosphere was perfect for our baby's naps. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable and well-equipped historical home.

This home away from home was the respite we needed midway through our road trip. The kids enjoyed the play equipment and watching the turtles and the grown-ups enjoyed the relaxation and space. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Loved this property & the hosts. Denise and Andy were so gracious and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Excellent location - walking distance to Moccasin and restaurants/coffee. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

We thoroughly enjoyed the area and the Burdette House. Andy and Denise were responsive (even through VRBO app issues on my end) welcoming, and helpful. The house had everything we needed and it's obvious a lot of thought, time, and energy was spent setting the place up just right. Older homes can be tricky and they had notes, references, and even labels on many things. Highly recommend. Thanks for a great stay!

We so enjoyed our visit to Hot Springs, and this home and it's location added to it. The hosts were great, even helping us find a protected spot for our bikes. The location is within walking distance of eating establishments and shops. The only "heads up" is that the bathroom is in one of the bedrooms so everyone must go through there and be in each other's space. This is no big deal, however, if you are traveling with the right people. That is more about you and your party than anything to do with the property or the owners. We had a great time. Thanks, Burdette House.

The Burdette House and its hosts are amazing! I would stay again here in a heartbeat.
The house is super comfortable and well equipped for anything you might like to do. There's great kitchen stuff, comfy couches, and even games. The bedrooms and furnishings are also excellent.
The location can't be beat. Its just a few steps from the Moccasin Springs Mineral Spa and the hosts have specific towels set aside for you to take along to the spa. Its walking distance to the main downtown area with restaurants and shops.
The grounds are great. There's a grill and some outdoor furniture + a balcony with furniture.
The hosts checked in on us to make sure we were doing well and if we needed anything. They've really thought of everything here. If this place is available, don't hesitate!

The Burdette house is a charming historic rental. The property is large and very well kept. It is located very near and walkable to a lot of fun areas. We were pleasantly surprised there wasn't any noise from the other floors, and the electricity handled everything like modern electricity should. We really appreciated all the little details that make this an outstanding (above & beyond) VRBO. The clips for the curtains, the information book, the various pillows, the special Burdette blend coffee, the outdoor spaces, our name on a Welcome plaque, labeled cupboards, fresh flowers... I could go on & on. Only thing that would make it better is a larger bathroom & an elevator 😆 But maybe that would reduce the charm. Our family really enjoyed using this place to visit and eat around the lovely island and drink coffee/laugh on the balcony 😀 Thank you for having such a nice, clean place.

We loved or stay at the Burdette House. The apartment is very beautiful with lots of space and everything we needed supplied. The special coffee and teas were an extra nice touch. We especially loved the outdoor porches and yard for sitting and enjoying. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and downtown. Hot Springs is a beautiful town.

We had a great stay. The kids enjoyed the well maintained yard. We enjoyed the "extras" which included an air popper and board games and my son wanted to mentioned that he enjoyed the opportunity to sleep on two different air mattresses(provided). We enjoyed watching our "yard hosts," Franklin and Sheldon(resident turtles), swim around in the pond. The location was quiet and was only about one block from the main street. We'd like to stay there again if we ever get the chance!

A nice peaceful getaway. Although the winter weather prevented us from enjoying all the grounds have to offer, we are considering booking in the summer just to hang out in the beautiful yard.

Such a nice place to visit especially in the off season of Hot Springs. The holiday decorations were beautiful inside and outside. Of course with this house being so old there were house noises and the suite was drafty. But there are plenty of heating options so we stayed nice and warm! Great location within walking distance to restaurants, stores, the moccasin springs just up the road, and then of course the river walk! Our hosts were so accommodating especially allowing us to bring our dog. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was spacious. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family!

We had a wonderful stay. Very clean and comfortable. Close to everything in the area. Many things to do Hot Springs and very close to other Black Hills attraction. So many small touches in decor, towels for Evans Plunge, and awesome yard for the kids. It was great stay. Highly recommended.

We had a great time in Hot Springs
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this well maintained Victorian home in a great location. The owners did a great job of communicating with many notes around the place to guide us to the things we needed. The location close to the Moccasin Springs Hot Springs was ideal to soak, return for lunch and then go for another soak!

Great stay in Hot Springs!
The hosts, Andy and Denise were very nice. They were very pleasant
and accommodating. The unit was stocked with everything we needed to make a few meals. With a family of six, this helped us to save some money by not eating out every meal. We grilled out a couple of times and enjoyed some meals out on the scenic patio. There was plenty of extra bedding to make the pull-outs into beds. We were welcomed by our names on the sign out front, flowers in the dining room and a bag of locally roasted coffee. When we return to the Black Hills, we'll be happy to stay at the Burdette house!

Great property and amenities
Really nice little apartment and the property is in a great location to walk downtown and along the river. The only thing that threw us was the location of the bathroom and that the bedrooms are connected which would have been nice to have explained in the listing. The bathroom is in the back bedroom so you have to walk through both bedrooms to get to it. Just a quirk of an old property but it made it tricky for us bc we were traveling with young kids who go to bed early. Overall the place worked out well, just took some extra logistics to get everyone situated at night.

Perfection in South Dakota
From the moment we walked into the property it was heaven! Fresh flowers, Sinatra on the music, a welcome bag with coffee, and a lovely, comfortable home to stay in. Gorgeous outside as well on the porch, pond, and fire pit. The town was charming, with lots of history. Cannot recommend Burdette House enough!

Thank you Vickie and family for offering this wonderful apartment for rent. It was comfortable, well stocked and quiet. We were able to walk from the apartment to tourist attractions, grocery stores, restaurants, etc in your cozy little town of Hot Springs. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

great place to stay
We had the whole second floor of the house to ourselves. Living room, kitchen with dishes and utensils, two bedrooms and a bath. It was very comfortable and walking distance to two different breakfast places. The owners were easy to deal with to set up the whole stay.
