About this cabin rental
This tiny log cabin has private lake access with a small kayak dock. Soak in the hot tub to start your dayUnfortunately, it is not large enough to dock a boat, but you can use the Douglas Lake Marina, about 10 minutes away, to launch your boat. There is one small kayak provided but feel free to bring your own. We do not provide life jackets. Please understand this rental is for couples only and maybe one small child, but not 3 adults. Excellent fishing, and is located just south of Dandridge (10 mins). Sevierville is 20 mins, Pigeon Forge is 30 mins, and Gatlinburg is 45 mins. You have the ability to be close to all the attractions without the hustle and bustle of staying in the city. The cabin is the last house in the cove, so there is very little boat traffic to interfere with your stay. It is attached to a larger home that sleeps 10, if you need room for a reunion, etc. The properties are separated by a 6 ft privacy fence. The lake is a TVA lake, so there is water from Memorial Day until late September ONLY. After that, there is NO WATER. Please see the pictures! There is still lots to do even out of season. This is a great getaway location for a relaxing long weekend or vacation for 2. The small floating dock set up for a kayak or canoe, is just a few steps below the cabin. H2O Watersports is about 1/2 mile up the road for anyone who wants to rent boats or jet skis.

We loved the location, the cabin was super clean. I wish the pictures had shown the 2 recliners instead of the futon/couch. Makes it a little hard to cuddle with the hubby. A little hard to watch tv with the window a/c unit right behind you but thats really the only place it could have been mounted other than the bedroom or possibly through the wall above the window. Very nice view of the lake. We didn't use the hot tub but it was clean and ready to use if you wanted. This is a small cabin so don't expect to have a bunch of room. Absolutely perfect for a couple. A few minutes drive to Dandridge for restaurants and groceries. We would definitely rent this cabin again.

We enjoyed the property very much! It was too hot for the hot tub, unfortunately : ( but we fished and used the grill and patio. We would go back anytime! Need an ac unit in the bedroom, we slept in the recliners the 2nd night...water is eggy. No complaints really, just suggestions! Very nice little place : )

Loved it. It's the perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay! The dock was super nice we did a lot of fishing from there. The cabin is small but it the perfect size for two people. The location is far enough from town but easy to get to. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The only negative I would say was when we turned on the hot water there was a smell. I’m not sure if this normal or if it was in the original listing. We just took cold showers. Overall we would love to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the tiny cabin!! Perfect amount of room for just the 2 of us! My husband enjoyed the fishing, we enjoyed the hot tub, and only about 25 minutes from Pigeon Forge!

Super cute cabin on a very private spot on the lake. Huge staircase peading to private dock, hot tub right next to cabin. Lots of effort webt into making this place feel like you are alone, yet right on the lake! Loved it and hooe to return.

Couldn't ask for a quieter cozier place to stay for a long weekend! Looking forward to visiting again!

Clean property, secluded location, easy check in process. Disappointed by the uncomfortable sofa so we could not relax in the living room and the fact that the lake was completely dry. Read the entire post before you book, the pictures are slightly decieving.

The cottage was very clean when we got there and is the perfect size for couples. They had toiletries available like shampoo and soap incase you forgot them at home. We didnt get to experience the hot tub but the hot tub looked clean. The only issue we had was finding the cottage because it was dark when we got there and the gps was trying to take us past the cottage. It's directly beside the cottage that looks similar to it. It was a cute little cottage, we definately recommend!

The best rental home I’ve stayed in yet! Cute, quaint, clean, and comfortable. If we revisit, we’ll definitely be staying at Hugh’s vrbo property. Also a bonus that Dean Rojas stayed here!

We were in TN for our daughters VB game and stumbled upon this adorable cabin on VRBO. It was perfect for just the two of us. Super cute and clean and the property owner was very helpful and followed up to make sure our stay was great. This listing was very detailed and had every item listed completely. We will definitely be back. ⭐️⭐️

The cabin was clean well kept up. Owners were very helpful and quick to respond if there was a problem. Although the cabin was a little bit of a drive from gatlinburg it wasn’t terrible. Overall a good day experience

Well laid out little cabin! Stayed here with my wife for our anniversary. We throughly enjoyed the hot tub!! Property managers were nice and helpful. Most importantly they left you to enjoy the private cabin! We will be coming back when the lake isn’t drained.

My husband and I go somewhere every year for a few days before Christmas, just the two of us, where we relax and wrap the kids gifts for Christmas. This year we chose to stay in this small little cabin and it was perfect. It was exactly as advertised.

Very impressed with the cabin, the host was very responsive, we absolutely enjoyed our time there, and the hot tub was absolutely great. The home was very gorgeous and comfortable. We will definitely work with him again on our next trip to the smokies.

First the good: quiet neighborhood, clean home, and newly refreshed hot tub. All appliances worked. Lake was great to explore, even in the off season.
In 15 years I’ve never written a negative VRBO review. What first caught us off guard was the size and orientation of the rental. It should be listed as a tiny home attached to a bigger property with minimal yard. The hot tub was not private at all. The furniture was the biggest problem. The bed sagged like a hammmock and we discovered the frame was missing several screws. We had to repair the bed day 2 to be able to sleep. We were awakened from poor sleep starting at 5:30 am by repeated horrible alarm screeching from the water filtration tank in the bedroom closet. No escaping from that noise after a hard night. The futon was the only other major place to relax and it was uncomfortable in every position. The one dresser had a broken drawer. No workspace while cooking. No place to store our groceries, besides the fridge. The grill ran out of gas after one use. Both ceiling fans made noise. All the blinds were broken in some way. Given the orientation of the house, this was not private. This was our honeymoon. It’s not a great place for a romantic getaway, as it stands.
That said, the place was very clean and would make a great tiny home retreat with attention to important functionality like where people sit, cook, and especially sleep. Better utilization of the space and a little comfort would make a big difference.

I came here in the fall of 2023 to enjoy the changing of the seasons. Owners were very clear about the lake being drained prior to accepting my reservation. I knew about this but appreciated the clear communication. Communication with owners was always timely. Representation of property on listing was in accordance with actual property. Although I desired a quaint get away, I still needed Wifi and found it to be more than adequate along with the smart tv for streaming. When trying to disconnect the hot tub was delightful and well maintained. I had easy access to explore eastern tennesse, checked out the Smoky Mountains, and headed to Knoxville for a football game. The location was key for quick day trips but gave me the sense of escaping to the lake. Thank you for hosting.

Perfect cabin for a couple’s getaway. We enjoyed the hot tub and boat dock for our boat. The cabin was clean and the neighbors are friendly. You are close enough to get to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville in about 30 minutes. The owner communicates great, and check in/out is super easy! We will definitely be coming back!!

My husband and I came up for the truck show Large Cars & Guitars with Tony Justice. We booked this place which wasn't far from where we needed to be. Everything went smoothly, I will say that there is a mattress protector on the bed and if you've never had one or slept on one, just to warn you, it is HOT, it holds in heat so if you are a hot sleeper just be prepared :) I was able to do a little fishing which is ALWAYS a bonus in my book. Will try to come back for sure.

Pleased with the property, but It would be beneficial to people to know when is the lake is in it's draw down. We where looking forward to using the dock for the property. We had a good time there, very nice people in the neighborhood.
