We were in Custer for our daughter’s wedding and several family members stayed with us. Hosts were very accommodating and the banana bread and cookies were delicious! Had plenty room for everyone and it was very relaxing. Would definitely stay there again.

A group of 6 of us stayed in the cabin for 4 nights and found it delightful. It was clean and comfortable. The (2) porches were amazing places to sit and relax with a cup of coffee. We grilled out one evening on the BBQ grill and ate outside. Perfect setting!!!

This was our second visit to Custer and we loved this house's proximity to town, the state park, and other destinations. The interior is spacious and very well taken care of. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were updated, decks were gorgeous. Lots of beautiful outdoor space for the kids to run around and climb on rocks. There was some road noise when sitting on the side deck especially, but for us the trade-off of being so close to town was worth it.

Our family loved staying at the Blessing home. There was enough room for everyone to spread out and relax after adventuring all day. The location was central to everything we wanted to see and do. Very clean and well maintained. There were books and games if we wanted to use them. Every kitchen utensil/appliance we needed was available. The host is amazing! We loved this stay and hope to be back in the future!

Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay, with nice accommodations and plenty of space to spread out. A few things would improve the stay - a fan in every room or better yet window air conditioning units since the swamp coolers didn't function properly. Also, a mirror in every room would be appreciated. The washing machine put tiny holes in a couple of new shirts that were washed in it, so check that out. Thanks for plenty of dishes and pans. You do need to replace one of the frying pans since the handle is about to come off, and the carbon monoxide is outdated and needs to be replaced, as well. Addressing these items will improve the stay for future guests. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with us!

Location was perfect except that it’s so close to the highway. Lots of noise. Had to sleep with windows open as there is no air conditioning.
Perfect for families. Lots of space.
Clean. Everything you’d need to stay was available.

This was a great place for my family of 6 to have ample space for fun and relaxation.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable.
The location is just outside of Custer, which made driving around very convenient. The trade off is some highway noise, which was only noticeable when we were on the deck.
As a bonus, it was nice to have the Mickelson trail so close.
We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect! Each family had their own rooms, bed numbers fit us exactly. Ample parking, fire pit was great and kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. We want to make this an annual trip to this same house! Kids loved the rocks to climb and enjoyed "Martin" the Marmet when he showed up. Even the cows were friendly! Host was a dear.

Excellent stay and location. FYI - there is air conditioning on the main level but not upstairs bedrooms, however it does cool off at night and having the windows open really brought the temps down and it was very comfortable (in June) Host was very welcoming and friendly - would highly recommend staying here!

Had a great time at this cabin. Loved the outdoor area, just wish it wasn’t so close to the main road. They had fun outdoor and indoor games for the kids, the kitchen had just about everything you would need. Cheryl was friendly and gave us a full tour of the cabin when checking in. Great place for a large group.

We were in Custer for a wedding as well as visiting local attractions. The house was so perfect-spacious, well maintained and in a great location for all our needs. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time to enjoy the property! Would definitely recommend if you have large family/friends who need a place to spread out, it had everything! PS: the cookies and banana bread were a definite unexpected treat!

We stayed at this property for a family reunion. It was the perfect size for our family. Beautiful location, comfortable furnishings. Owners were easy to communicate with. I really appreciated that the owners let us know upfront that the week we booked was the Sturgis motorcycle rally. We decided to keep it booked anyway and have no regrets. Would stay here again!

If you are in Mt Rushmore, this is the place to stay. It is very close to crazy horse, custer state park and Mt Rushmore memorial park.
Host Cherly and her husband are exceptionally amazing host. They personally welcomed our family, they also had some goodies for our family. We had amazing experience .

We spent four nights at this beautiful Black Hills Cabin. It’s even more beautiful than the pictures show. It’s very spacious and has everything you need. I was worried without a/c it would be hot since we were there on a very hot week. But opening windows overnight and keeping them closed during the day kept it very comfortable. The property is very pretty but it is right next to a busy road. And be sure to bring bug spray if you’re there in the summer to avoid mosquito bites.
Our boys enjoyed the yard games. We used both the grill and the fire pit. It was wonderful sipping coffee on the front porch.
Cheryl left us a basket with banana bread and cookies which was such a thoughtful touch.
We will absolutely return he next time we’re in the Black Hills. I miss it already!

Clean, cute cabin with everything we needed for our 4 night stay in Custer. The hosts were great at working with us and I loved the little welcome basket Cheryl put together. Very nice couple, with all the nice details. We enjoyed our stay very much! You won’t regret booking this cabin (although we were in need of serving bowls and a cookie sheet so bring your own if you need those items, everything else was plentiful) but we improvised with other items. This stay was a much needed respite for our family after an emotionally challenging year!

Property was amazing and hosts were friendly. The updated bathrooms were a plus as well as a spacious master suite. The kids had ample room to spread out and also enjoyed the includes yard games, fire pit and watching deer from the deck. If you're planning on staying in the summer or during rainy weather, be sure to pack plenty of insect repellent! The property is close to town but does come with some highway noise. All in all...a WIN! Would stay again!

The home and hosts are just lovely! Plenty of room, beautifully decorated and an interesting pice of history. Frank and Cheryl are such warm and welcoming hosts, providing great information about the area and even helped make the 3 of us who celebrated a milestone birthday even more memorable. The only downside is the road noise - if you open the upstairs bedroom windows you can hear it through the night. Otherwise we had a great stay!

Beautiful property with an amazing pond that attracted wildlife, a very nice fire pit stoked and ready to go. Plenty of outdoor space. Perfect for a large family getaway. The owners pay extra attention to things like full bird feeders and games, books and child friendly plates and tumblers. We will recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to visit the Custer area!

We loved this lodge/cabin. It's in a great location, great scenery on the grounds, and wonderful owners. Cheryl and Frank are very welcoming and gave great suggestions for outings and eating places. The lodge/cabin was very clean and had everything you could need for an away from home stay. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a unique, historical cabin. We definitely will be contacting them when vacationing in the area again.
