This home has been newly decorated with upscale furnishings and is immaculately cleaned each time you come to stay.
The top floor of the property features an open concept living-dining-cooking area. Catch a glimpse of the big blue Pacific each time you peer outside. The front of the space boasts a well-furnished outdoor balcony, perfect for morning snacking or happy hour sipping, and endless lounging and sunset watching.
Just inside the glass doors lays a sectional so cozy that you may find yourself dozing off in the middle of movie night, it also has a queen sofa sleeper (available on request for a nightly fee). Steps back, the dining table spaciously seats 6, and the gourmet kitchen is designed to make cooking easy! Finally, just off the kitchen is the east patio complete with a propane weber grill. With luxury appliances, and cabinets stocked full of cooking tools, feeding your group at home will be a painless process! We have everything you need to help you keep all of your peeps’ bellies full.
On the middle floor, you’ll find the first two bedrooms connected by a jack and jill bathroom. Each of these guest bedrooms has room for two people, outfitted with queen-sized Casper mattresses and flatscreen TVs. Down the hall you’ll find the spacious Primary Suite, featuring a walk-in closet, a large bathroom, a TV, a desk workspace, and a king-sized Casper mattress. You’ll be sure to rest easy here as you fall asleep to the sounds of the coast and awake to views of the ocean from your bed.
Below the bedroom level is a mudroom storing a portable crib and a high chair for those with little ones, and a two-car garage packed full of all the beach accessories you could need. There are tons of boogie boards, surfboards, kids' life vests, beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels! Get ready for endless fun in the sun and easy beach day activities.

Guest Access:
Sleeps up to seven. One king-size bed, two queen beds, and a queen sofa sleeper (available on request for a fee). Guests have the entire home to themselves along with a private fenced in yard. Yale keyless door entry coded uniquely to each guest.
The Neighborhood:
Located just 30 minutes North of busy San Diego and is the south part of Encinitas, this laid back town promises a slower pace and some time to unwind. The beaches are endless and a quick walk gets you to the water. Cardiff by the Sea is nestled in the center of the best beach towns along the 101. Just South of the home is Solana Beach, Del Mar, and La Jolla while going North brings you to Encinitas, Leucadia, Carlsbad, and Oceanside. There's lots of shopping, attractions, and dining close by, or if you're not in the mood, there's plenty of space to get comfy!
Getting Around:
The property has private driveway parking, but if you're looking to just hang around the Cardiff/Encinitas/Leucadia area during your stay, it's easy to get places by foot or better yet, rent an e-bike and cruise up and down the 101.

PET POLICY
We love dogs, and our policy is really pretty simple. If you are bringing a dog(s) we need them to be crated if left alone. If you don’t have a crate, we have ones you can use. We understand if your furry family members can’t stay off the sofa or bed; we do have special sofa blankets and/or beach towels to protect the furniture. We try our best to accommodate all our guests and can’t have dogs directly on the furniture as it’s unhygienic for others who might be more sensitive. We also incur extra cleaning fees to prepare for our next guests. Cleanliness and sanitation are very important standards to our overall business. For this, we do require an additional cleaning fee. Finally, we expect our guests to pick up any dog waste daily in the yards and rinse down the area where the waste was picked up.
CITY PERMIT DETAILS
City of Encinitas Permit RNTL-008738-2019. We expect our guests to keep noise down to a minimum as this house is located in a residential neighborhood and quiet times are from 10pm to 7am. We have a maximum overnight occupancy of 7 guests. Parking is available in the private driveway around back or in the garage. Trash is picked up on Friday mornings and all trash and recycle goods should be placed in the containers by Thursday night as pickup is usually very early.

First things first—let in that coastal breeze!
By leaving windows and doors open for multiple hours, the fresh air starts flowing in while we get to work cleaning. In addition to our normal routine, we now disinfect all high-traffic surfaces too.
Each and every bed linen piece (even mattress pads, pillow protectors, duvet covers, and blankets!) will always be laundered between uses. Regardless of use, all bath linens (shower curtains and bathmats, too!) are laundered between visits to keep things extra fresh.

Folks have shared their sticker shock concerns when seeing our cleaning fee for the bungalow. We understand that our cleaning costs are high—hence why we’re breaking it all down for you here.
Our crews—from the family-team cleaning the living space to our partners tackling laundry—are all compensated with fair wages. We believe good, hard work deserves an honest living!
To get into the nitty gritty, we typically spend ~15 hours readying the space & laundering the linens (all 10 loads of ‘em) as detailed above.

REFUND POLICY
For stays less than 15 nights, a 100% refund for cancellations with more than 30 days notice given before the check-in date. A 50% refund will be given for cancellations between 30 days and 14 days before the check-in date. If cancelling with less than 14 days notice no refund will be given.
For stays of more than 15 nights and less than 32 nights in length, 60 days notice is required for a 100% refund. A 50% refund will be in effect for cancellations between 60 days and 30 days notice of check in date. If cancelling with less than 30 days notice no refund will be given.
For stays of more than 32 nights, 120 days notice is required for a 100% refund. A 75% refund will be in effect for cancellations between 120 days and 90 days notice of check in date. However, we understand events happen outside of our control. If you need to cancel inside the "no refund" window, we always refund all the cleaning fees and occupancy tax if it was collected. In addition, we will attempt to re-rent the property and will refund back to you at your nightly prorata rate all the nights that we are able to rent.

We like to have our customer service leader Stacey Peterson meet all guests upon check-in and give a tour of the property. Managing partner Keith Clarke lives a short drive away and is available via phone or text. This place is so nice and relaxing. Great location - close to markets, restaurants, beaches and nice long walks along the coast. Our teenage kids had plenty of room to spread out and have their own "space" as well as having family time. I highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay and the property. However, check in was too late and check out was too early; so it ended up being that we paid 6 days but only allowed five days in the rental.

We booked this property for our family with the main purpose of attending an event at Surf Sports Park. The location to the venue was very convenient and we loved being able to walk around the town so easily.
The house is very clean and just as described. The property has absolutely everything you could ever need. They go above and beyond giving you recommendations so you can enjoy some of their favorite places. We would highly recommend this property and hope we can go back one day.

This property and the hosts are second to none! The home is beautiful, comfortable and has everything you could need from kitchen essentials to equipment for baby! The location is perfect, with quick access to many beaches, great restaurants and San Diego.
The hosts ensured we had everything we needed, were very accommodating and checked-in with us throughout our stay.
We just visited and are already considering a repeat trip next year!

They perfect getaway
My husband, dog, and I stayed here for a week and it was wonderful. As mentioned, perfect walking distance to so many great restaurants, the beach, dog park, and market. The house itself is also clean, comfortable, and feels homey. I can’t recommend this house more. Keith was also very helpful and made sure the check in process was smooth. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

The listing does not do this property justice. Not only is the house well equipped, it was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Keith and Stacey communicated with us well in advance of our stay - starting with a a very clear and comprehensive video that both described the house and told us how to access it upon our arrival. They checked in on us to ensure all was going as planned. Our experience was five star and we would highly recommend this property!

A perfect home away from home
We had a lovely time at the Cardiff property. We decided to vacation and work there for about 3 weeks. The house was exactly what I saw online, everything was clean and organized, with thoughtful amenities - everything I’d want in my home or personal vacation home. We hosted family and friends, worked, and vacationed in one house and had everything we needed for every occasion. Keith was easy to correspond with before, after, and during our stay. The location is perfect, so walkable, convenient, and safe.
If we had to pick a negative, which there really wasn’t many, I’d say it’s more of an FYI for future guests: there’s quite a few stairs, since it’s townhome you’ll want to be prepared to go up a few flights of stairs. Especially when coming up from the garage and hauling food back from the store or your baby after a long day :) Also, the bedrooms are under the living room and kitchen on the “ground level” so there’s a bit more noise if you have loud walkers/talkers and a sleeping baby downstairs haha
All in all, it was great. I miss it already… We’re already planning our next trip for next year, maybe we will try their bungalows properties next!

Great stay in Cardiff!
We have been coming to Cardiff for many years, and love it here. The property, managed by Keith and Stacy, is very well kept. It has everything you need, and nothing you don’t. It is incredibly clean, organized and a very relaxing place to spend a couple weeks (as we did). Walking distance to all Cardiff has to offer. It is worth noting, as well, that the hosts are fantastic. Anything you need they are ready to help with. Even though they were traveling themselves, they were always available. We had a lovely stay, and look forward to returning next year. I’d recommend this property to anyone looking for a great getaway in Cardiff.

Amazing stay!
My husband and I were down in Southern California for a family event and stayed at Cardiff-by-the-Sea for the second part of the trip. Our biggest disappointment was that we didn’t stay in this location and this home for the entire trip.
The home was incredible and is in a great location with a view of the ocean from the porch, and just a short walk to a number of restaurants and the grocery store.
It was perfect for our group - we were traveling with my sister, her husband, and 7 year old son. The entire home was so clean and organized, and had everything you could think of. The hosts were very friendly and responsive.
I would highly recommend staying here!

A great stay
Keith and Stacy met us at the house to check in and show us around. The house was clean and open. Location was perfect for a walk to the beach. Keith were available and answered our questions by text and responded immediately to any problems (we couldn’t figure out the remote control).

Brilliant... Everything You Need.
This property met or exceeded our expectations. It’s thoroughly equipped with every modern convenience you can imagine... and some you can’t. The point is, that property manager Keith and Stacy have thought of everything. Things are automated, and easy. The house is bright and airy, and an easy walk to restaurants, the market and the beach. Access to bikes, toys and surfboards was very cool.

An AMAZING property
This is an amazing property and well worth your visit. It is perfectly located to all that Cardiff has to offer. It is spacious, well-appointed, and clean. In fact, with COVID 19 concerns, cleanliness was the top of our lists of concerns. We were happy to note this place is above and beyond clean. If you know the Clarkes and their rentals, you know what a great job they do with setting the place up and making you feel comfortable while you are there. No exception with this property. Everything you need is stocked and labeled to make it easy to find. The furnishings are wonderful. We loved our stay so much, we've already booked a week in July 2021 and plan to book more in 2022. Thank you guys for a wonderful time!

Best VRBO Rental Ever
The property was perfectly situated, managed, and stocked. Everything you could want was minutes away (walking), and the place was fully stocked and well organized to cook and spend most of the time at the rental (which we did). Keith, the manager, was the nicest and most accommodating property owner/manager I have ever encountered. I plan to rent this exact property again and could not say enough nice things about Keith and the property.

A week in paradise!
Keith and Stacy’s property was an absolute dream! Couldn’t have asked for a better location with proximity to the ocean, local shops and restaurants, but still on a quiet and peaceful street. The house was perfect for us - fully functional with everything you could want in a kitchen to feel like a home away from home. There was nothing better than starting the day listening to the waves on the balcony and then ending it in the same place by watching the sunset. Everything was super clean and well thought out with nice new decor. Keith was helpful and communicative during our stay. This will be my go-to house when I come back to the area - wouldn’t change a thing!

Amazing Property in the heart of Cardiff-close to everything
Probably the most well-stocked and clean vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Perfect for our family. All new furnishings. Super clean. So many nice touches to the experience. All you need to bring is your clothes! Walking distance to coffee, the market, the beach and all the area things Cardiff has to offer. Keith was attentive and responsive immediately to our inquiries. I cannot recommend this rental highly enough. We will definitely be back. If you are searching for a spot for your family vacation stop looking and book this house!

Perfect Escape
I don't think the pictures do this property justice. It is beautiful, clean and well appointed and the location is fantastic. We really enjoyed being able to easily walk to Seaside Market, fabulous beaches, jogging trails and wonderful restaurants. Because of Covid, we brought all our food back to the property and loved the spaciousness and storage of the kitchen/ dining area. My teenagers loved each having their own space with televisions and xbox to themselves. We will be back!!

The location and home are incredible! You are steps away from Seaside Market, great shops and wonderful drinking and dining options. This family friendly home had absolutely everything we needed during our stay. It was super clean and had plenty of room for our crew of seven. You will love the proximity to the beach as well as the view from the deck. We can’t wait to go back and will definitely recommend this beautiful home to all of our family and friends! 5 stars!

Bliss in Cardiff
This charming house had every convenience that you never thought of. The comfortable beds and gorgeous furnishings made us not want to go out. We sat on the veranda patio and soaked up the sun while having our morning coffee. We walked to our favorite breakfast joint and Starbucks too.
