About this farm stay rental
"The Farmhouse" has been in our family since it was built 235 years ago and has been home to nine generations. It has been moved 3 times during its long history and now sits on a private, wooded, hilltop lot on the edge of 50 acres right next to Sebago Lake Basin on land that has been in the family since the town's settling. The current generation took ownership in 2021 and is now lovingly investing in the Farmhouse to ensure its well-being for the next century. Make our home part of your family history.
Summer-season bookings are offered from Saturday to Saturday. Discounted weekly (20%) and monthly (50%) bookings are offered from September through June. Please note that both bathrooms are located on the first floor, and that three of the four bedrooms are located upstairs.
-----------
Come enjoy the call of loons off the lake as they lull you to sleep in the evening and diligent hummingbirds flirting just out of reach as you drink your morning coffee. Campfires, walking trails, wild blackberries, sandy lake beaches and a private boat launch, along with numerous nearby adventures and winter-time recreation will give your family plenty to do.... unless of course you'd just like to relax on the porch and watch the deer and falling autumn leaves.

Our extended family (8 people) had a lovely time staying at the Manchester home. The place had many thoughtful touches - beach towels, kayaks, dog bowl, AC for hot days, cards, games and everything you can think of for the kitchen. There are a variety of comfortable places to hang out, both indoor and outside. We had plenty of room for “together time” and also space for those who wanted read quietly. We very much recommend this place for family vacations!

We have utilized VRBO for vacation stays many times. This home was by far our favorite! The owners made sure our every need was met. We had a family Christmas at the farmhouse and it was perfect. Looking forward to perhaps returning in the late summer early fall for another family gathering.

We loved our stay. The house has everything you can imagine. It was the nicest VRBO that we’ve stayed in in Maine. Already at the time we were here but we’re still able to enjoy the beach. I want to thank the owners for are letting us rent this place and hope to come back to it the next time we come back to town

Our group of 5 adults and 2 children spent 4 nights at this lovely old house
It was perfect for us. Large enough to accommodate us all comfortably with space for us to gather for meals and family time, but with a layout that allowed for individuals to have quiet time in the den, on the porch, or in the garden as desired. Many thoughtful touches made this stay very easy - everything you need in the kitchen, games in the living room, and accessories for your trip to the lake beach, plus multiple large grocery stores and take-out options within a short drive. We had a delightful stay.

My family enjoyed the week at this property. Great location and everything we needed. We enjoyed the privacy of the property, but a short walk to the lake to the watch the sunset. The owners were very responsive with any questions.

The property is lovely and charming. Very roomy with ample space to lounge inside and outside. The large front lawn was great for playing ball with the kids and our energetic dog. The outdoor dining set was perfect for the dinners that we cooked on the terrific grill. The house was clean and well-stocked. The kitchen has everything one needs for cooking (even a lobster pot and special utensils and melted butter cups). The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels. With young kids, we loved that the property is just a short walk (a short block) from two small beaches on Sebago Lake. They were perfect. Either we had the beach to ourselves or there were a few other people from the neighborhood. The neighbors were friendly. The house, while in a private, semi-secluded area is very near to shopping (food stores, etc.). I'd highly recommend this property.

The property is quaint, cozy, and just as described. The house was very clean and adorably decorated. This was the best stocked house we've ever stayed in! The kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms were all supplied with everything you would need. There were plenty of things to do. The beach is clean, and the water was very clear. We attended a Seadog baseball game, heard a bluegrass band at Lenny's, shopped the day away in Freeport, enjoyed beautiful downtown Portland, and spent a wonderful week of quiet relaxation. The Manchesters are delightful to deal with.

Wonderful home that included almost every amenity you could think of! The patio and fire pit area was enjoyed every weather permitting day. Nights were enjoyed by the firepit with firewood that was provided, and even the smores marshmallow toasting skewers were provided at the home. The association beaches were wonderful, the launch was close so we could use our boat, and enjoy every aspect of the lake. Beautiful sunsets on the beach as well. Overall a great place to stay!

For a fortnight we have enjoyed this beautiful house. Within walking distance of a beautiful lake, shops and other facilities around the corner and a good base for doing things. The house offers privacy and tranquility. Surrounded by nature (in the morning there is even a deer in the garden, who doesn't want that?) The house has everything you need. So much even, that we did not even use everything. An absolute must! Dear family Manchesters, thank you very much for your hospitality. We enjoyed it so much. We are still homesick.
Kind regards,
