This was our first visit to Brunswick and we had a great time. The location was perfect for walking the Bowdoin College campus and the Maine Street area had many fun restaurants and stores.
We would definitely stay here again!! Great hosts and clean, comfortable cottage. They were very helpful with information and best places to visit while in the area.
Thanks for having us!

What a lovely cottage. Close to everything, but tucked away from the busy streets. Lovely landscaping around the property. Beautifully furnished. Comfy bed is always important & that it was. Nice facing sofas for chatting and chilling after a long day of hiking. Bookcase holds fascinating books. Kitchenette has all you need to make your stay comfortable. This was a Mother, Daughter trip and I was so pleased with the accommodations.
Owner is super friendly, and helpful. Very kind and just a genuine soul. We hope to visit again in the future.

Our stay was wonderful. The cottage is very easy to get to. The host was friendly and accommodating. The cottage has just about every thing you could want. It was clean, the furniture was very comfortable. It is very convenient to the great little downtown area, where you'll find good choices of eateries, really nice gift stores. They have market days on the green, where you'll find all kinds of fresh vegetables, flower and much more. The town itself has a lot of culture. We found that people were very friendly and were happy to help with direction and such. Also, you have the public transportation to get around to other locations rather quickly...like Portland, Freeport, Bath, etc. If you are looking for a place to relax, sight see, enjoy a nice selection of restaurants and some really great cafes', then this location is prime. Oh and you can also visit Bowdoin Collage where you'll find music, art, theater and just a nice campus to stroll. This cottage is within walking distance of all the places I mentioned. Again, I want to say how much we loved the cottage, especially after a full day of touring and site seeing. If you do go, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did. We will visit there again as we love Maine and we just fell in love with Brunswick. S & J Knauss

Great place to stay in Brunswick. Quiet neighborhood. Easily walk to Bowdoin College, restaurants, grocery store, and the train station. Owners are very friendly and had good suggestions of things to see and do. Brunswick is a wonderful town as it offers plenty of things to do and places to eat without feeling "touristy". Bowdoin campus is beautiful with an incredible art museum.

This quiet getaway was exactly what my spouse and I needed after a few busy days working our way up the coast of Maine. The community is lovely, the cottage was delightful. Loved that there was a tv but it wasn’t setup, it really allowed us to unplug and relax!

Susan and Brook put the personal touch to their beautiful and cozy remodeled detached art studio. This was like staying in a family cottage. The mattress was extremely comfortable and we tremendously enjoyed meeting Susan and Brooke. We could come and go as we wanted and had all the privacy you would want. No tv, but it was not missed. You will not be disappointed with this property. The kitchen has all the amenities including coffee, half and half and a wonderful loaf of blueberry coffee cake for breakfast. We will definitely be staying at this property again. Brunswick is fantastic and Richards restaurant downtown gave us the perfect getaway. This cottage was incredibly clean and we could not ask for anything better. Thank you for inviting us into your property.

Cozy cottage with everything we needed to have a wonderful stay - every aspect of our experience was easy and comfortable, and we're very grateful! Beautiful neighborhood in excellent location - a short walk to terrific coffee, restaurants, bookstores, campus, museums, Tuesday farmers market...so many options very close by. Lovely to have our own complete kitchen, too, and the piano is a serious luxury, along with the awesome art book collection. Lots of extras - skylights for stargazing, porch with chairs and a table for outdoor meals and snacks, pretty garden plants, gas stove that kept us toasty, lots of hooks and shelves for storage, well-lit interior, radio, good wifi signal... Nothing was lacking and our hostess was kind and considerate. Such a treat to be here!

We loved our recent stay in Susan's charming retreat. The location is fabulous for exploring downtown, Bowdoin College, and the gorgeous coastal offerings. Very well stocked with kitchen/bath items, interesting books, comfortable seating, and even a piano. Susan is an excellent host with fabulous suggestions (loved the hike and the breakfast spot that she recommended!). We look forward to future trips and re-booking this adorable cottage!

My husband and I spent three nights at this lovely cottage during a fall visit to the area. This place is truly special – decorated with comfortable furniture, antiques, and unique artwork to create a cozy, welcoming space. We loved coming “home” each evening and switching on the cast iron gas fireplace after a day of exploring. The small kitchen was well-fitted with the appliances and supplies we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely and well-stocked with great towels. The location was perfect, within walking distance to restaurants and downtown area, and driving distance to hiking, beaches, lighthouses, etc. We appreciated Susan’s special touches for our anniversary and her suggestions for hiking and sightseeing. It was nice to meet Susan and Brooks – such interesting and gracious hosts! Thank you for your hospitality.

This is the perfect location for visiting Bowdoin College or Brunswick! Located in a quiet neighborhood and just a short walk to the grocery store or the many restaurants in downtown Brunswick. It was spotlessly clean with comfortable couches and bed. Susan was amazing as a host. I am so glad that I stayed here instead of an overpriced hotel!

Our trip to Brunswick was to visit our grandson, a new student at Bowdoin. This cottage made it very comfortable and pleasant, and a very short walk to campus. Susan and Brooks are delightful people and have furnished this roomy studio with superb taste. Even a baby grand piano for our grandson to play. Could'nt have been better!

Great location — walking distance to Bowdoin, downtown area restaurants/shopping. Grocery and train station near by. Wonderful neighborhood. Susan was responsive, friendly and helpful. She provided all the info we needed before we arrived to acquaint us with the property. She gave us terrific recommendations for breakfast and nearby hikes. Space was clean and comfortable, a large, studio-like apartment. Equipped for cooking, making coffee, or reheating leftovers. Small fridge and microwave. It had everything we needed.

Cutest garage apartment ever
This was some of the best-used space of any rental-by-owner studio/apartment we've stayed at. Very nicely furnished and decorated, super clean. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was handy. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and pillows were nicer than we often encounter. I feel lucky to have found this place and would be happy to stay again any time. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent 3 night stay in this studio cottage in a safe ,quiet neighborhood. Convenient access to restaurants, shopping, coastal areas and state parks with walking trails. Loved the traditional homey space, artwork and small private balcony to enjoy my morning coffee and evening cocktail.
As a host Susan is friendly, informative, accommodating and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. She has included many small items in the kitchen and a few condiments to make your stay more comfortable. The cottage is updated, clean and the queen bed is super comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

fabulous sunlight- filled retreat
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet suite with newly remodeled, well-appointed kitchen and bath.
Who would have guessed this private oasis with its sky lights, vaulted ceiling, & wood- beams that compliment the clean white decor, could exist tucked on a tree-lined stret a couple blocks from Bowdin campus?!? We highly recomend with a 5-star rating from seasoned world travelers!
