We got to the property Saturday night. I had to email to ask check in information two days prior - it was never sent over after full payment. As soon as we walked into the house we smelled a strong odor. The AC was on and all the windows were open. We looked around and there were 7 febreze plug ins and multiple odor absorber pots throughout the house. We thought that was odd but had to head out to dinner. The smell was still there the next morning. After a day at the beach we came back and the smell was overpowering. I emailed the property manager and she said they have a known issue and think there is a dead mouse somewhere. There was also dog hair over all the carpet and she stated they had the house deep cleaned, clearly not. The smell was so bad we had to turn the ac off and had fans going to try to cool it down and get the smell out. After being told we’d get a refund we left, we spent our time there dealing with allergies due to excessive air fresheners and trying to air out the smelly house. Two of us have ashama and had to use our inhalers frequently. We got a very small refund and had our vacation ruined, we have a 1 year old and other kids, smelling dead mice is so bad for your health. I’m appalled that they would know about this issue and still rent it! Pay to have it taken care of instead of covering it up with air fresheners- they should be ashamed of themselves. If they had called and told me prior to arriving we would have made alternate plans and were stuck

We had stayed at this property about five years back and I was looking forward to staying there again. The house was as I remembered it and was clean. There is not any sort of binder with information or instructions, just a sticky note with the Wi-Fi password. We wanted to rent the golf cart as well, but upon trying to turn it on it was out of gas. We contacted the property manager who said she was going to check it but didn't have time. She then told me that there was a gas canister in the basement (which we don't have access to) but she didn't know if it was filled or empty. It turns out there was a gas canister under the porch, but we didn't get that information until we had already rented one from Point Sebago. Also, the listing did not mention that there is a per person fee to use the resort. I had anticipated that based on prior stays, but it would probably be unclear to someone who was unfamiliar with privately renting a Point Sebago home.

Place was advertised. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in, nice wood cathedral ceiling in the main room. Both bedrooms are spacious. Will definitely stay again next year!

The property is just what was expected, except we were unaware that the linen and towels were not provided. The kitchen is very well stocked with most items needed. Beds are very comfortable. We also rented their golf cart which was perfect to cruise around the resort to visit our RV friends and family camping. The week we stayed was terribly hot so the central air was much appreciated. Great place to call home for a week.
