About this house rental

It’s time for a Cool Change! Brand new rental available on Upper Captiva Island! Cool Change is a recently renovated, bright and airy townhouse, with hardwood floors throughout. Enjoy the 2 screened-in lanais, the front has views of the harbor and the back lanai overlooks beautiful lush palm trees. Family fun abounds in the open concept dining and living room, which includes a large flat screen tv and blue-ray player. We offer a fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials, including 2 separate refrigerators, a dishwasher, dishes, and pots and pans for all your homemade meals. The 2nd floor master bedroom provides a wonderful escape with a king bed, an attached private bathroom and sole access to the back lanai. Upstairs, you will find a fabulous 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and a 3rd bedroom with 2 full beds, perfect for the kids, along with a shared full bathroom.

All amenities on the island are just a few minutes’ walk, bike ride or golf cart ride away! Stroll through lush sandy lanes on your way to unbeatable beaches. The beaches’ unparalleled serenity, shelling, fishing and sunsets are the perfect way to unwind from your daily life. It’s not uncommon to spend a day on the beach and see more dolphins, birds and manatees than people! Beach chairs, umbrella, towels and games are included with your rental to help you get into the island groove…just bring your sunscreen! You also have access to the Safety Harbor Club heated pool, tennis and pickleball courts, bags, wharf and dockage. (Dock slips require an additional $20/day fee). The island has 3 restaurants, a small general store (with only a few limited supplies) and a wonderful rental store for all your golf cart/bike/fishing or boat charter needs.

Upper Captiva Florida is truly unique. We love how secluded and remote this vacation destination has remained and would love to share it with you. Access to North Captiva is via ferry, private charter, boat or private plane, as there is no vehicle access to the island and no motorized vehicles are allowed! We will be happy to assist you with arranging transportation, groceries and many of the fun activities available during your stay.

A Great getaway
A Great getaway
The location of this townhouse is perfect for access to the entire small island. We felt like we were on a vacation in a quiet tropical paradise, a world away from the daily turmoil of life. If low key is what you yearn for then North Captiva is for you. 5 stars!! Sandra

Tropical escape from the winter
Tropical escape from the winter
North Captiva is a tropical island unlike any place I have traveled previously. Our trip was a timely escape from the Northeast winter. I had many questions prior to travelling which were promptly answered by the owner. From the Ft Meyers airport, we got an airport taxi (1 hour) to Pine Island, Island Girl Ferry, and after a 30-minute ferry ride, we landed on the island. We walked a few steps from the ferry dock, met the friendly property manager Jenny, who greeted us at the dock. We checked in to our modern and airy 3-bedroom townhouse overlooking the harbor after Jenny gave us a tour of the island and was available during our trip. The view from the townhouse deck was a tranquil seen of the harbor, hibiscus flowering along with tropical palm trees and mangroves. The Safety Harbor townhouse included a nice swimming pool and tennis courts. We walked to beaches and also rented a golf cart which residents use in lieu of cars on the island. We rented kayaks, walked the pristine beaches with velvet sand that were nearly void of other people. Make sure you buy enough groceries to bring on the ferry (during the airport ferry ride) as there are no chain stores or grocery stores on the island. There are 3 restaurants, 1 is a few steps from the townhouse, if groceries dwindle down! We had a very relaxing trip - thank you!
