Beautiful lakeside property with a lot to entertain children. Great communication from owner. She is very thorough. We would love to come back.

We stayed for four nights over a long weekend with four kids (ages 11-18) and three adults, including my older mom with mobility challenges. It was comfortable and lovely. We were even able to drive my mom around the back of the house close to the lake so she didn't have to walk. We also visited Virginia Tech, which was an easy 40-minute drive. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked 3 nights for my son’s graduation, but regretted that we hadn’t planned a longer stay to fully enjoy all that this property had to offer.

We had a group of 10 stay here for a Virginia Tech football game. About 40 minutes into Blacksburg on gameday. We all slept comfortably, and the property provided a great backyard, screened-in porch, and fire pit. Plenty of seating on any part of the property. Would recommend to any large group, whether it be for VT or just for the lake.

We loved the open floorplan of the property and also the flat back yard walk to the lake. We were able to enjoy the hammock for the first day and the swing and chairs after that. The furniture beds included were all very clean and comfortable. Such a gorgeous quiet place to stay, looking forward to next time!

This was a nice 3 bedroom lake house, clean, nice big kitchen and great outdoor space. Only comment is regarding the large screened in back porch - it was ripped on one corner so defeated the purpose of screened porch. Overall a very nice place.

Property was clean and as described. Beautiful backyard, firepit, and docks. Monica provided all the details we needed. Works great for large groups. Plenty of linens and towels for the nine of us that stayed, including 4 teenagers. Very spacious kitchen and back porch with flattop grill. It is about a 35 minute drive to VT but lots to do at the house as well, especially in the summer. Will very likely be back!

The property is perfect for families. There are lots of games and activities for the kids. We brought our boat and it was easy enough to launch from the back yard. We love the lake and would absolutely stay at this property again.

The house was perfect for our needs. It rained the whole weekend so we didn’t get to use fire pit or the obstacle course. The power went out on the whole neighborhood which was inconvenient but definitely no one’s fault. We had a great time and enjoyed the house.

Was nice. Wish there was an electric can opener. Ramp was slick due to the rain so there was a fall. Safety strips may have helped. Grill didn't work even after changing the propane tank. Lake was dirty and we couldn't get in but that couldn't be helped. Queen bed was not comfortable according to my daughter and son in law.

If you have a boat and want to stay at Claytor Lake, this three bedroom house with boat dock is a good choice. Has dining table that can seat up to eight (there was five in my group), plus there is a smaller table in the kitchen that could seat four kids if you want them separate from the adults. As you walk through the back of the house, you go by a room with a round table and futon sofa/bed. The round table is great for playing cards or board games. My son used it to place his laptop and do a programming homework assignment. The next room you come to is the TV room. Following that is a bathroom and three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king mattress (very soft) and has a master bath with a garden tub and separate shower and toilet area. There is a screened-in back porch that runs the whole length of the house. It has a ping-pong table, air hockey table, patio chairs, and a gas griddle (which did not work for us, the only disappointment.) The back yard gently slopes down to the lake. On the way down there is a grove of mature trees with a fire ring in the center. Then on to a gazebo with seating, then on to the dock at the water. There is a boat ramp but is only suitable for launching jet skis or very shallow draft boats like a Jon boat. There is a public boat ramp about 15 minutes away at Dehaven State park. The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac with just enough room to park a truck with boat trailer off to the side on the right, and just enough room to turn the whole rig around to get out. We arrived late at night and parked there and unloaded our stuff to the house, then took the boat to the park ramp to launch the next morning. We had a great experience there over the Labor Day weekend. I highly recommend this home for your Claytor Lake vacation.

wonderful place for family vacation
Lakeview from property was amazing. Had everything you could want. Gazebo by the lake was amazing, gave you a place to get a break from the sun. Dock was big enough to have more than one person fishing at a time. Kids loved the concrete slab in the water. Fire pit area was great for making smores and just relaxing at night and the lights made it glamorous. It was one top vacation spots to date.

Great place to vacation with family
This place was wonderful to rent for so many reasons. Monica was a great host, being prompt with email responses and offering us an early check-in. The property was amazing! From the outdoor area where it was safe to swim right off the dock and pull up our rental boat to the pavilion offering us shade and a breeze. We also loved the outdoor fire pit area for s'mores at night and the hammock to relax in during the day. The game room porch was perfect for all the cousins to play and the house itself was clean and offered many places to sit around the table. Bedding was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend Monica and her property and are beyond grateful for the opportunity to be with family in this gorgeous location!

Family getaway
Property was so much more than we had hoped for. Was very clean and had wonderful access to lake. Close to Dublin and shopping and restaurants. We had nightly visits from the local raccoons raiding our garbage which I felt bad about because they tend to leave a mess that we weren't sure how to control but it was overall a 5/5 experience! We will definitely stay here again in the future. Would definitely recommend for a family looking for a relaxing getaway.

Clean house with a real nice fire pit area
Group of guys looking for some outdoor fun. Nice spot on the lake. Lake was larger than we thought. Great grill, screened in porch, and fire pit area. Yard was well maintained. Dock wasn’t available, but wasn’t a major issue, was able to pull up the pontoon boat to the concrete slab. Overall great time.

Welcoming!
This property was great for our Christmas gathering. It even included a Christmas tree and decorations. The owner was gracious and helpful. The property was clean, convenient and everything worked! It was on a lake, so this wasn't the optimal time, but our teens enjoyed the ping pong and air hockey tables on the screened porch. The eating area is huge and can accommodate 20 people for a sit down meal. Kitchen is wonderful! The absolute only negative comment is that the living room is very small and only seats a few people. This was offset by all the seating in the dining room/kitchen. We will definitely stay here again!
