This place is fine for the value. Convenient to lots of things and has the basic amenities you need for a trip.

The cottage was beautiful. Good hub within driving distance to various points (Bar Harbor, Bangor, etc). Very clean and quiet, exactly what we wanted!

Very quiet but a skip away from downtown Ellsworth. Worth-while place to stay.

I booked this because it had a canoe included. Other bookings in same price range all had issues, but we are a family that paddles. The first thing my son wants to do is go out on the lake (literally still had suit cases in the car). We make the walk back down the drive to the dock and ... no canoe. Send messages about issue ... handled by a 3rd party .... finally get back to us about the canoe on our last day saying there will not be a canoe. Owner told them that they don't put the canoe out until mid June (our stay June 12th - 15th). When we were leaving on the 15th we saw the canoe secured to the dock. The inside of the lake house is nice and clean, the back porch had an insane layer of pollen dust (unusable without significant cleaning). The location is great for Eastern Maine vacation. This house would have been a five star for the price if it wasn't for the issues.

The cottage is as the photos show. A spacious, nice place. It does have black ants upstairs and downstairs - they need to address that problem - saw some on counter in kitchen, so watch where you leave food items. The amenities were sufficient - but only conditioner was provided in the showers. Beds were comfortable. We couldn't use the cute screened-in porch because bright yellow pollen was everywhere. It needs to be deep cleaned - as well as the porch cushions. The location is close to Ellsworth and easy drive to Acadia. The area was very private and quiet. We didn't utilize the canoe, but would have if we had stayed longer. Easy walk to the dock and lovely spot to sit on the deck. Overall, we enjoyed this place. Would recommend if the ant problem was solved.

The house and property fit our needs. The check-in and out process was super easy. When we arrived we saw a couple big black ants, as our stay progressed we found more and more. The last night of the stay while trying to cook dinner, the oven had quit working. We contacted Vacasa (which was a computerized auto response, not an actual person), and couldn't get it remedied.
We left a note for the maintenance crew when we left of all the things we found needing attention.

Our stay was great at the lake house. Clean, quiet, relaxing. The description is a bit misleading, though. The house is not lakeside like it states. You have to travel down a hill and across a street in order to get to the lake. Other than that, highly recommend staying here.

It had a beautiful view, the amenities were great, and the porch was FANTASTIC!! Great secluded little cabin close to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and in Ellsworth.

Cozy and comfortable! Loved the screened in porch! Kitchen is stocked. The only item is you have to walk down the hill and across the road, down the steps to get to the dock.

We had a spectacular stay at the cabin. Location was excellent with the lake across the road and Ellsworth less than a mile away for all your needs and wants. The house was clean, spacious and well stocked. We couldn’t get the stove on but thankfully we only had one chilly night so not a big deal. It’s an ideal launching point for anything in or around MDI and Bar Harbor.

My husband, son and I stayed here on our family vacation to Bar Harbor. Cute and secluded cottage in the woods with views of Leonard Lake. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor but close enough to visit the Harbor and Acadia. We really enjoyed it and will recommend it to our friends! Super cute!!

This property is cozy and peaceful. The pictures do not do justice to how nice the interior is. The outside is fairly private and peaceful. It should be noted that although you can see the lake from this property, one must walk down the driveway and across a one-lane road to reach the lake and dock. The walk back to the house is a decent incline all the way back to the home. Overall we very much enjoyed the atmosphere and home.

We were very pleased with our stay at the lake house. We had many amenities provided to us. It is in great location if you want to visit Bar Harbor and Bangor, just wish they would fix the road(lol). We will definitely come back when we visit Maine again. I recommend this place to anyone who visit”s this area.

This was the perfect house for our family of three. We walked in to the house, and it was spotless, cozy and nicely decorated. My favorite part was the huge window in the living room. The lake was right across the street and down a hill. Ellsworth is a very cute little town with everything you will need. We spent most of our time in Bar Harbor and Acadia which was about 35 minute drive. Make sure to try the blueberry soda.

The house was great. Very private, which is what we like. They had everything there you could want, (except spices) for cooking. All utensils, pots, pans, everything! Beds were comfortable and plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels for the bath and kitchen! We would stay there again in the future.

What a wonderful location and home! We had the most relaxing vacation! The home is close to everything, yet so quiet. We so enjoyed using the candy e and exploring the lake. Highly recommend.

Well appointed house in a great central location. House was clean, cozy, and perfect distance from anywhere we wanted to be. Fire pit, canoe, porch, dock on the lake. What else do you need in Maine in Autumn!? Kitchen was well stocked- small toiletries in the restrooms. No complaints at all. Thanks for having us! We will be back.

We absolutely loved this little cabin. It was spotless and decorated so cute. There was an amazing amount of storage, so clothes and luggage were all put away. It was too cool while we were there to swim, but we enjoyed the view of the lake. We will definitely stay here again.

Reviewer Comments:
Overall, this house satisfied our needs and was a very clean and well-kept place with a great location for driving into Acadia National Part every day. However, the layout of the house left a lot to be desired, and was particularly inconvenient for the adult couple staying in the second story loft bedroom. The 1/2 bath that was attached to this loft bedroom was VERY cramped, with not enough head room to stand up straight over the commode. In order to get from the loft bedroom to the full bath and shower on the main level, one has to go down the steps, through the living, dining and kitchen areas - all public areas. The headroom in the bedroom part of the loft is so low that we bumped our heads multiple times when moving to the left side of the bed. In addition, the laundry room is located inside the master bathroom on the main level. This is very inconvenient for anyone other than the persons staying in the master bedroom. As long as a traveling group can live with these house design mistakes, it was a very clean and well-kept place.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at the lakehouse.

Cute little cottage & quite spacious ...
Beautiful cottage ! Place had quite a bit of room in it, the only thing that would’ve made it better is if it had single beds instead of queen beds, at least in one of the bedrooms. We had a party of four and we were just friends. Also, The futon in the living room was listed as the additional sleeping area, although it was comfortable , it was VERY hard to sleep there, as there were no curtains or blinds anywhere in that living room area. There was also no curtains/blinds in the kitchen area as well adjacent to LV .. that was disappointing..
Overall great little place , wish we had time to take canoe out, but we did not. Had a really nice grill there too , which we did not get to use ..
I was disappointed the TV in the bedroom was not working ! we could not get it to work.even after contacting the realty and following all the instructions. TV in the living room was great . Ellsworth is a cute little town and it was very central ~ 30 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia park. Definitely recommend this place , as it was overall an above average little cottage...

Comfy cabin tucked away in the woods
We really enjoyed our stay here. Great layout and living space both indoor and out. Very private and comfortable for 4 adults and a baby... convenient to town and a reasonable drive to Acadia. Although we didnt use the canoe we did enjoy the views of the lake and sitting around the fire pit in the evening. We would love to stay here again.

Cabin above lake- good retreat
We enjoyed our visit except that it smelt like cigarette smoke our entire stay. The stale smell irritated my eyes and sinuses since I am allergic to smoke. The friendly owner stopped to check on the driveway when it was raining and mentioned it was the former guests who smoked. This factor impacted our overall experience . In fact, I think we should receive money back from Vrbo or Turnkey rentals since it was not what we expected when booking this place. Otherwise, it is a quaint place to stay.

Great place. Easy to get to Acadia but away from the crowds!
Enjoyed our stay. Great little lake house tucked away but close to everything.
