The Sand Castle is located on a quiet residential street with many full-time neighbors. It is imperative for us that guests are respectful of our neighbors. Please be considerate. Do not book this home if you plan on being loud and disruptive.
* No more than 15 guests allowed, including daytime guests or visitors. The number of guests in the house cannot exceed the number of guests reported at the time of booking without prior authorization.
* No parties, special events, or large gatherings allowed at any time.
* No street parking. Our home can only accommodate 6 cars max in the garage and driveway. If you plan on having more cars, including daytime visitors, please do not book our home.
* No smoking or vaping.
* Pets are strictly prohibited. A fine of $500 will be assessed if traveling with an undisclosed pet and the reservation will be immediately terminated with no refunds due.
* Quiet hours are at 9pm-8am. You will be charged $100 per occurrence if there is a noise complaint from neighbors.
* Security/recording devices located in the front and back yard.
Please use the outdoor shower for shoes and feet before entering the home and as a courtesy to the next guest please also rinse off all beach equipment before returning. Thank you.

This place was the perfect spot for the whole family to get together. Such easy beach access and the kids loved the pool and playing in the large living room. Amazing sunset views from the two huge porches. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a house big enough to fit the whole family!

The Sandcastle was a wonderful place to stay close to the beach. The house was extremely spacious and clean. Teenagers had their own space and rooms. Lots of decks plus the pool area to enjoy the outdoors. The beach was just a few minutes walk. A great family getaway!

The Sandcastle is a lovely large home that accommodated our family group of 10 adults and two kiddos nicely. All the rooms are nice although the garage level room is cold and dark with no bathroom. Also, there were full size sheets on this bed instead of queen size for a queen bed, which made them come off often during the night. The kitchen was large enough with most everything we needed. Our favorite areas of the home were the two outdoor decks with comfortable furniture overlooking the ocean and gorgeous sunrise views! A couple of cons are no bath soaps in any of the bathrooms and the BBQ grill was badly in need of cleaning. My husband spent a half hour cleaning it for our use. There were plenty of beach towels as well as beach items such as chairs, and pool toys. The pool was great and clean as the pool guys showed up the same day we arrived. The home is an easy walk thru a dune trail to the beach. P.S. There was also a baby highchair, child gates, games, Foo's ball table (needs leveling), kid games, and books. The nightly rate was high, and some things should be worked on, but overall, our family really enjoyed the home.

Sand Castle is a nice location with only a five minute walk to the beach. The ocean view from the house is great! Our children enjoyed the pool which was heated as I requested. The house easily accommodated our family of 10 people, but would have been crowded at 15 (sleeping capacity listed). My major complaint was that the kitchen was unacceptably dirty. I cleaned on it for two hours before bringing in groceries, including washing out the entire refrigerator, throwing away opened food including a half loaf of bread, cleaning hair and crumbs from utensil drawers, etc. Thankfully, the property management sent Jenn over in response to my complaint. Jenn “saved the day,” and probably deserves a raise. She cleaned the oven and the grill, purchased new kitchen cloths, and was appropriately apologetic. The house also needs some basic plumbing maintenance (master bath sink sluggish, primary garbage disposal inconsistently not functional, master toilet hard to flush). Master bedroom quilt had what appeared to be blood stains. These things could be easily remedied and should be addressed if the company would like to see the review raised for this property. Because of the good location and great view, it could easily be made into a “5” with a little more work.

We are a group of six women who have been doing our trips for 32 years. This property had everything we look for when planning a fun trip. We loved all of the indoor and outdoor areas we had to congregate. Wonderful house and wonderful trip.

We had a wonderful time relaxing with friends and family at the Sandcastle. We had 15 adults and with the trundle bed we had enough bed space for everyone! The pool was nice and the location was so great to be walking distance to the beach. We brought some towels with us but there were plenty of towels and some beach chairs available too. The only minor complaint was that the toilet paper could have been a little better quality but otherwise the house was well stocked with kitchen supplies, cooking dishes, and glassware. Would definitely stay in again!

Had a wonderful experience at the Sandcastle! Plenty of space for our group of 10 adults, especially the common areas, kitchen and balconies. Loved the vaulted ceilings and views from both outdoor spaces. House was sparkling clean and Jordan was very responsive. East beach access and a short drive to restaurants and downtown St. Augustine. Would have been nice to have one additional bathroom/half bath on the 1st or 2nd floor, but overall was a wonderful stay!

Make sure to request specifically for the pool to be heated. Owner and property management seem to co-manage the property, neither professionally. Nice location and very spacious common area. Kitchen is well stocked. Bedrooms are very nice

This is by far the most amazing property that I've ever rented. The owners have gone over-the-top to consider every convenience imaginable and have stocked the house to the fullest! They have labeled all kitchen cabinets and drawers to eliminate searching for items. The kitchen was stocked with anything you would need to prepare meals for a large group. The consideration and detail that was given to furnishing this house was definitely evident and appreciated. The owners and property manager were very responsive and took care of our every need. There were so many extras in this house, it would be impossible to list them all. The decks were fully furnished and provided great views of the ocean. The beauty and comfort of this house was enjoyed by our whole group. This property has it all and I would definitely love to visit here again!

Beautiful time staying at this property. We loved catching up with family sitting on the deck listening to the sounds of the waves. Quiet neighborhood great for walking. The beach was perfect with only a few others enjoying the sand and surf.

This house was perfect for a group of moms getting together for the weekend. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools, the beds were really comfortable, the living area and spaces were set up nicely for group chats and hang outs, the beach access was close, and everything was thought of (from ice, to toilet paper and soap). Fantastic Host, Fantastic House!

The Sand Castle had all the amenities a group could want. It had plenty of towels, linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper products, Wifi, beach chairs, beach towels, baby gates, plenty of glasses, dishes, silverware, and kitchen utensils. They had games for all ages to include toys, books, puzzles, and foosball. They had everything you have in your home and more. The air conditioners were more than adequate for the house and there were thermostats on each floor level that maintained the requested temperature. The washer and dryer looked brand new. The only issue we had was a reboot of the router which was corrected promptly. Don was very punctual and accommodating with any question we had. We would recommend that the placement of the shower on the side of the house be highlighted.
It was a very luxurious home in which to vacation.

Beautiful house and close to the beach
This house was beautiful and had lots of room. It was a short walk to the beach. The major con was the horribly rough toilet paper. I got food poisoning at a local restaurant and my sister in law had to go out on Christmas morning to get soft toilet paper for me. Also, we paid to have the pool heated and we were told that it was turned on, but it was still too cold to even sit with your feet in the pool. Other than those two things, the house was lovely and just right for what we needed.

Fabulous, clean property
This property was gorgeous, kept up-to-date, and was in good repair. The decks had beautiful views. We grilled, went to the beach, and just hung out (concerns abaout covid kept us more house-bound than we otherwise would have been) and the property was great. In particular, the kitchen was spacious, clean, well-organized, and well-stocked with utensils, pots and pans, colanders, knives, and many useful spices and herbs. This was quite possibly the cleanest property I've visited from all my vrbo stays - my family, being neatniks, really appreciated this. We all felt totally at home and wanted to plan another stay right away.
We had a minor issue with water pressure during our stay, but both Amy (the owner) and Tonya (manager) were immediately on it and offered to send out a plumber immediately. Ultimately, we decided that the problem was too minor to justify the visit (my mother is 88 years old and we didn't want to risk her contracting covid). Nevertheless, it was reassuring to know that the owner was so responsive.
We'll definitely stay here again when we're in St. Augustine next. We highly recommend it.

Gorgeous Home
Perfect location! We walked to beach, only one block in. Pool was clean and fun, lots of chairs. The owner thought of everything. Draws are labeled in the kitchen which makes it much easier. Plenty of towels. Ocean views on the decks. Only 20 minutes to St. Augustine. So much to do!

Well equipped!
We shared this home with another family and it was perfect. Clean, big, bright and the best-equipped VRBO we have stayed in. Tons of towels, beach items, and kitchen equipment. Everything is labeled and organized. We would definitely return!
