Was so impressed with the setup of the basement and how every little detail was setup to maximize fun. Kids absolutely loved it. Well stocked with ping pong paddles and balls. Kids made me get smore stuff when they saw the fire pit and was so thankful for the wood and chairs provided for us. Thanks for the fun weekend!

Cute little house with great things for kids inside. We didn’t stay long and we were there for Mammoth Cave and loved staying at the house. It is in the middle of nowhere so eating out is very limited and grocery stores are far from the location. The host was great about informing us about all of this beforehand so we could prepare and was great about giving us ideas of things to do in the area. We were fortunate that the Green River ferry was up and running so getting to Mammoth Cave was not far, otherwise it would be a long trip to get there. House was great- no complaints!

We loved this cabin! We were visiting our son who goes to school in Louisville and enjoying some spring break adventures with our youngest. It was perfect!

Beautiful drive (WELL worth the time it takes to get to the property) and super peaceful. Cleanest property that we have stayed at, had everything we needed, comfortable, and cozy. Owner was a delight and was able to recommend some wonderful adventures in the area for our young kids. Near the lake if that's your thing as well!!

Angie was an amazing host with a great property. It was a countryside setting with a picturesque drive of farmland views. The surrounding were quiet and full of nature. House was fully stocked with all the basics and then some. All of our attractions were within a comfortable driving distance. Angie had several near by options which were great recommendations! We hope to be back again.

The property was great! The kids really enjoyed the game room that was set up in the basement. The house sits in a secluded area so you won't see to many people. The owners were VERY attentive and quick to answer any calls we made. The lake access was great and right down from the property. They have all the dishes you would need, so there was no need to bring anything. The property came with Disney+ and Netflix, which was a nice suprise.

We really enjoyed our stay. It rained most of the time causing us to stay at the house more than expected, but there was plenty to keep us occupied with the ping pong table and other games. Will stay again next time we visit the area.

Property was great! As advertised. Clean, comfortable, and everything in working order. Enjoyed having the grill and the fire pit. Also enjoyed the ping pong table and “pop a shot” game. Angie was very responsive in answering questions leading up to our stay.

Met our needs...
This rental met our needs as a family of 4 with a couple of very active boys. It was true to the listing and the drive in/out of the neighborhood was beautifully scenic farmland.
A few inconveniences kept me from giving it 5 stars: the ignition switch on grill is broken, no lighter or paper towels could be found, the stove was super uneven making cooking difficult, we thought the beds were not comfortable, and I was a little grossed out by all the food left in the kitchen fridge and cabinets.
BUT check in/out was easy, owners communicative, boys loved the basement play options, and location was perfect for exploring the area.

This home was just right.
This home was just right for our big family. Tucked in the Kentucky hills close to area caves just like we wanted. Plenty of places to sleep if your kids don't mind all being together upstairs.
We especially appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was and that there is community "left overs" like spices and condiments. Thanks!

Great little getaway
Location is secluded and quiet. We’ve rented a lot of houses before and the kids said this was their favorite. Having all the activities to do in the basement made even just being at the house a ton of fun for everyone.

We had a fabulous stay. The house is about 20 minutes from Mammoth Cave, which was our main reason for coming. The house was very clean and the host very communicative. It is a bit far from Cave City, but totally worth the drive. It is in a nice wooded area, about a 5-10 minute walk to the fishing and boating area. It is in the heart of Amish area and very rural - perfect for relaxing. We loved being able to come home from a cave tour or swim at Nilon Lake to a cozy place versus a cold hotel. We cooked most of our meals there and the kitchen had all that we needed. We even spent one full day at the house just playing the many games they have and relaxing. My youngest now wants to move to Kentucky and buy the house when she grows up. 5 stars from all of us (married couple with two teens and 1 upper elementary).

Great rural respite
My friends and I loved staying at this cabin. It's super close to Nolin Lake. It easily slept 4 adults, with everyone having their own bed. The air mattress in the little room upstairs might be a bit too hot and uncomfortable during the Summer heat.
We visited Mammoth Cave while staying here, and the driving time was typically 40 - 45 min. It's a shorter drive if you ever through the park's north entrance and take the 3 car ferry across the river.

Great, quiet spot
Nice spot beside woods and a creek. We enjoyed the nook dining table, walks around the area, stopping in at a stream, and Mammoth Cave National Park nearby!

Peaceful!
House was very well stocked with items we didn’t expect. Communication with manager was great! The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars overall was the fact that we had hoped to walk out of the cabin and fish…we didn’t realize even the 25miles would be a bit of steep terrain. With that being said….the drive to the house was beautiful and now understanding the terrain we would have asked more questions about the location prior to booking. The house is wonderful….communication was great and it’s a gorgeous area. We suggest checking the travel time to desired activities and not relying on mileage alone. Curvy roads with many hills. There is a wonderful shop just a few minutes from the house with a virtual archery experience! Great archery and ammo store!
