Good location for public transport. Clean but does need some maintenance. Overall we had a good stay.

Great location for quick walk to restaurants and to light rail. Location was great for a weekend with friends to be able to use light rail for concert at T-Mobile.

There were 5 of us adults staying for a couple of days in Seattle before leaving on a cruise to Alaska. We really liked the fact that the house was easy to get to by the light rail from the airport. And we could easily walk the couple of blocks to the light rail to get into and out of Seattle for sightseeing. We even took the light rail to the stop nearest the cruise terminal and were able to walk from there. So we didn't need a rental car which was great. What was surprising was that it was also an easy several block walk to an area with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. So the location was excellent for what we wanted to do.
The neighborhood houses on each side are a bit rundown, but there are some newer houses on the street, so it is beginning to turn around. We felt safe. There is a tag for 1 car for on-street parking, which is nice if you have a car.
The inside is spacious and comfortable. The previous renters had damaged the sofa and the owner had it replaced while we were there taking care to ask us ahead of time if they could do so. While we didn't cook, there were utensils, dishes, etc. if you wanted to. The washer and dryer were also a nice touch for a longer stay. It was hot, but the house has air conditioning which was nice.
It was nice to have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths for the 5 of us. There is also a sofa bed.
The owner was very nice and easy to communicate with. We would recommend staying here.

This place was perfect for our stay. It’s an old house, but in good shape, and had everything we needed. Loved that there was a dining table with six chairs, a well stocked kitchen with nice pots and pans, and that it was within a five minute walk of the light rail. Would definitely come stay here again!

Didn’t stay there - felt VERY UNSAFE!!!

Although it turned out to be fine, we had a bit of a rocky start as the property was not guest ready. To his credit, the owner immediately reacted and provided us with clean linens for us to use the first night (we arrived in the evening). The best part about this unit is the proximity to the light rail; it was perfect for airport and sightseeing! Probably the most negative point is that the unit sits between two abandoned/condemned houses. It’s not a very reassuring and welcoming sight.

Very clean, close to train. Great neighborhood with a lot of variety for restaurants. Lots of Parks and trails to venture out on. Lake Washington was also within walking distance. Everyone had a wonderful trip.

Clean. Nothing fancy, but met our needs really well for a work training. Walkable to 2 full service groceries, a handful of bars, probably 10 restaurants, 1-2 music venues and 2 movie theaters. Coworker raved about the Vietnamese food and I saw 3 Ethiopian restaurants. Soul food and Geraldines are great. The upstairs shower & bathroom is small but the first floor bathroom is roomy.

A very comfortable stay near Seattle!

Easy to find, simple to check-in, and fast communication from the host. Charming old house. Our bunch starting referring to it as “home” when we’d head back from our daily ventures. Great access point to the Light Rail! We were able to check out a Saturday evening farmer’s market in the neighborhood, complete with a band and dancing, and found Columbia City to be a perfect choice for our stay.

We enjoy staying at this house. This is our third time staying there. All three times worked out great!

This two-bedroom, two full bath home was less than 5 minutes to the light rail which made it super convenient to get to the airport, the baseball stadium, the ferry and downtown attractions. The owner was very responsive and allowed us to store our luggage in the house before check-in while the cleaners finished up. The home was very comfortable for my husband and me and our son and daughter-in-law.

House was as described, except that central air was installed while we were there! Enjoyed staying in Columbia City. The house is very close to light rail, which is convenient to getting to most Seattle attractions, as well as only a few blocks to a grocery store and restaurants. As another guest noted, there isn't sheets for the pull out couch, which would be nice, but we were visiting family so we borrowed some from them. House does have a coffee maker, but no coffee, so we again borrowed some from family. If you don't want to brew your own, Olympia Coffee is about a 4 block walk, so there are options!
Another thing to note is that there is construction in the neighborhood. Didn't bother me any, but they did start working pretty early in the morning.
Thanks for a great stay!
Overall, the house worked well for us. Would stay there again.

When we arrived, the door code wouldn’t work but we had fast communication with the host and were able to get in quickly. Our family (4 adults) stayed in this rental which was in excellent proximity to the light rail (5 min walk). If you have mobility issues, this wouldn’t be the house for you as there are steps leading up to the main door and then many up to the second floor. When we arrived, the house was extremely warm but once we opened up the windows it cooled off nicely. There was no air conditioning. We had someone sleep on the couch so felt safe enough to leave all main windows open at night. The traffic noise is quite loud but again, it out ways the location of the house to the train station. The house is located between two vacant run down homes so at first impression, we were unsure of the safety of the place but after the first night, became more comfortable with it.
Our one mistake was leaving some boxed muffins on the kitchen counter overnight so we encountered many little ants all over in the morning - just be sure to put all food into the fridge once done eating. Bedding and towels were clean and the house gave us more room than a hotel to spread out and visit.

Clean and Tidy Stay
This property is in a quaint neighborhood and yet very convenient to the train, just a short walk. The short walk to my daughters house just a block away was pleasant. We admired the spring flowers and flowering trees along the way. The host greeting book was very welcoming and the many travel books were very helpful. So happy to have found this place to stay so close to ,my daughter and eateries.

Awesome spot for non-car vacationers
This property is perfect for the person or family that does not want to use a car, or needs metro access easily. It is directly off the #1 Light Rail. This same rail links up to the SEATAC Airport and was by far the easiest airport to VRBO transition in our history of vacations. We took the light rail from the airport to the stop closest to the house, walked about 2 blocks and punched in our code and we were home! So the location is this apartments greatest feature.
We stayed with 2 adults and 3 children (11,10,8). There was enough room for all family members. There were 2 queen beds in 2 separate rooms, and a futon/pullout/couch hybrid and a chaise style chair that converts to a cot style bed in the living room. We wished there was bedding for the NON queen beds though. My kids slept on them, so they really didn't care. An adult might have more to say on that matter.
The bathrooms were great and we had no complaints. 1 bathroom would have been fine - but having 2 was a plus. Shampoo and conditioner was provided.
The kitchen was fair. My family tends to cook a lot of meals while we are on vacation. I was able to get by with what we had, but others might be hard pressed to feel comfortable using the tools at hand. A new set of teflon pots and pans with lids would be a great addition along with a new set of high temp utensils would be the next best thing. There was plenty of plates and glasses for the family. There was also a lot of fringe benefits like aluminum foil, cling wrap and ziplocs that were definitely appreciated. The knife set was good too. All the appliances worked as they should. There was salt and pepper and various spices available. We made a comment that it would be nice to have some spray oil or PAM in the cupboard for guest use. The dishwasher worked well, and there was detergent available as well as pot and pan cleaner (Dawn). Another thing we wished to have was a broom. We get a little messy in the kitchen on a daily basis, and a broom would have helped cleanup a little easier.
The washer and dryer worked as intended. Laundry soap was provided.
We had a little snafu when we arrived with the thermostat. We came from MN to Seattle, so we preferred the temperature of the house a little on the cold side. When we got there, we turned off the furnace because it was 72 degrees(50's outside). Sadly the controls also were used for the downstairs tenant and we "froze" them out. Communication with owner was easy and problem solved.

Nice place to stay
Nice place to say, just know that it’s an apartment. There are a couple of people that live in the apartment below.
