About this house rental
"Dramatic Views" is a nautical retreat in Lake City, MN with dramatic views of Lake Pepin. The main floor has a large living room with a wonderful bay window and window seat that offers amazing views of Lake Pepin, sail boats and paddle boats, eagles and the bluffs of Wisconsin. There is a queen leather sofa bed and lots of additional seating, plus a large flat screen TV and an electric fireplace. The living room can be closed off by the drift wood sliding barn door to convert the living room into a fifth bedroom. The large dining room is furnished with a custom made farmhouse table that easily seats 12. There is also a first floor bedroom with a comfortable king sized bed, along with a large tiled bathroom with an over-sized step in shower on the main floor.
The remodeled kitchen features granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and a unique Café space off of the kitchen with a pass thru counter between the Café and the kitchen. The Café features a counter height gathering table that seats 4. It's the perfect space for that morning cup of coffee for the early risers of the group, dining, games, cocktails, and of course, just hanging out. A large laundry room/pantry is just off of the kitchen and has great additional storage for all those vacation goodies that everyone brings.
Off of the Café towards the rear of the home is a second large living space or "family room" that features another flat screen TV, lots of seating and a beamed ceiling. The family room also has a dramatic view of Lake Pepin with a second wonderful bay window and window seat. Just off of the family room is a three season porch and off the other side of the family room is an attached garage.
Outside you'll find lots of outdoor seating, two fire pits, a weber gas grill and a patio table with umbrella. This arrangement offers the perfect outdoor setting to relax, relive the fun day and to enjoy family, friends and the dramatic view of Lake Pepin all over again!
The second floor has three additional nautical bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen size bed, a flat screen TV and dramatic views of Lake Pepin and the beautiful bluffs across the lake. The second bedroom is a charming room with two twin beds tucked into their respective alcoves. The third bedroom or the "Crew Quarters" is a large room with a queen bed, two twin beds, a flat screen TV and a seating area. The upstairs also has a full bathroom with a tub/shower.
All linens are provided and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need. We know that you will find this home spacious, comfortable and the perfect venue to bring family and friends together!
The entire house and yard are available to you and your family during your stay! The driveway can accommodate 5 vehicles and there is ample parking on the side street.

The house was fabulous. So charming and comfortable. The location was unbeatable; looking over beautiful Lake Pepin in Lake City MN. Lots to do in the area. I highly recommend this VRBO! 10 out of 10!

The property was great. Clean. Plenty of room and places to sleep. We enjoyed our stay and as titled the views were dramatic…esp when a major storm blew through during the day and then late at night. Awesome to watch nature’s power and fury. The only item of note that was an issue, was that the upstairs toilet was too low

This was a perfect property for us and our family.
This trip was planned as a gift to my 80+ year old parents, especially dad, so we could go to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, 20 min down the road. Lake City is centrally located and about 20 minutes from the 2 bridges that cross the Mississippi, which made exploring surrounding areas easy.
This house was exactly what we had hoped for and more. Lots of space, yet cozy as well; awesome views of Lake Pepin; charming and thoughtfully layed out; great 1sr floor bath and bedroom for my aging parents who needed a first floor room and bathroom;
We were only a party of 6, 2 of which were teens who loved having their own bedrooms and privacy. However the property truly does hold 12, and is set up to hold twelve people in comfort, rather than as an afterthought.
We have stayed in many VRBOs and this at the top of our list. Lots of small details included labeled light switches, for all the different light fixtures around the house, extra folding tables for outside cookouts or puzzle building (which we enjoyed on the many rainy days we had), fans in several rooms to offset occasional road noise, fully stocked kitchen and baths, high quality furnishings, and comfortable couches. So many rental homes have cheaper furniture in them, but that is not the case here.
The hosts were wonderdul and always accessible via text for any questions - very helpful. I would stay here again!

We have been gathering at thanksgiving for many years and Dramatic Views was a wonderful place to cook our complete dinner. This kitchen is very well stocked and the table was able to fit all of us and food. We also used the table for many rounds of games. Even at the end of November we enjoyed getting out and exploring the area. We have stayed there before and will consider it again.

A beautiful, spacious, comfortable place to stay. We spent a long weekend here with our daughters, their significant others and our young grandson. The location was perfect and the views of the lake so beautiful and relaxing.Our hosts provided everything we could possibly need both inside and out. They literally thought of everything! We had a lovely time and are looking forward to a return visit.

This home was just perfect for the 7 cousins who get together annually. It was clean, spacious and so comfortable. The home was decorated in a nautical theme that was done so well! The lake view was amazing! The sunrise photo I took was just spectacular. We didn’t use the bikes but the river walk through Lake City was great. We ended our stay with a campfire. We all loved this home. We got to meet the hosts to tell them what fun we all had!! So nice!!

fOur family of 7 from 2 to 91 just had an awesome vacation from Dramatic Views! The location is ideal and window views so lovely in this large comfortable coastal home! It was so clean and well-appointed with all our wants and needs! So pleased with so many places to hang out inside and out as well as close to beach and parks within walking distance to cafes as well! The hosts available always and Sandy so warm and pleasant! This worked well for the elderly and toddlers we look forward to another visit ....this would be an ideal trip for Autumn leaf color changes as bluffs and Frontenac State Park

The Owners have done a great job making sure there was everything we could need from dishes to appliances to bicycles and out-door games.
Location was great and within walking distance of the swimming beach, splash pad, and Dairy Queen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dramatic Views in Lake City. Sandy and Eric were great hosts; very communicative and highly organized, which our stay much smoother. The house is amazing…we slept 12 comfortably (including 5 kids) and it was highly functional and in an ideal location. We were able to walk to the local beach and dinner at two great local restaurants. We’d highly recommend the house and Lake City overall. Thank you, Sandy and Eric!

Very well kept home with beautiful views.
Worked very well with our elderly mother. Main floor bedroom and also a main floor bath with large walk in shower with safety bars. Large diningroom area with seating for 8-10 people. Would recommend and look forward to visiting again!

The house is Gorgeous!!! Plenty of space for our large family. We loved how spacious yet homey it felt!! Also with it being right by lake Pepin it was breath taking to watch the sun come up!! We also loved all the games and the bikes we had to use!! It is very conveniently located in walking/ biking distance to downtown. Also the owners were super quick with responses and for me that is a huge plus!!! I love great communication!! It seriously made our wedding weekend perfect!! We will definitely come and stay again!!

Beautiful updated home. Beds were comfortable and plenty of space inside and out. Well organized and easy to find items. All light switches were labeled so no guessing which switch works for what light or ceiling fan. Nice views of the lake. First floor shower was spa like. Sandy and Eric were friendly and happy to answer questions and be of assistance. Highly recommend.

Truly a fabulous place in Lake City
This group of 7 college friends have been through a lot of VRBOs in our 18 years of gatherings. This is easily the best we’ve stayed at. Everything was thought thru and provided. From each light switch being labeled, to very comfortable beds with convenient charge ports, the numbered baskets for bathroom essentials, there was never anything lacking. The provided bikes and fire pit essentials were also a big bonus. Sandy was a great host and provided a lot of recommendations and ideas on things to do. It was a great trip made that much more special due to how great the house was. Absolutely recommend.
