About this house rental
Two-story hillside home with two kitchens and gorgeous views of the EB lake. Decking around half the house with two viewing decks lakeside. Plenty of room inside and outside for all the family and their water toys or boat and trailer.

The stay was beautiful, and the house was very comfortable.
My only complaint is trying to message back and forth with Vrbo. I found it confusing and tedious. The host was great with this issue and texted my phone number, which gave me instant results. Nice man!!

Enjoyed our stay. Dogs loved the big,fenced yard. Pulling our pontoon boat in and out of the property was a little tight, but we got it done and had four full days of boating fun.

The pictures do not do this home justice. It is spacious and lovely. The extra perks (dog kennel & water bowl, extra tables, outdoor chairs and more) made it that much better. Look forward to staying here again.

Originally we were poised to stay at a home in Truth or Consequences. The plan was to go there and enjoy the hot springs.?However, my wife was also wanted to explore Elephant Butte Lake because she was interested in doing some fishing there in the future. So I did a search and found the Captain’s Quarters. We are so happy we did! We had a wonderful view of the lake every morning as we had our coffees and watched the sunrise. It’s close to town, so we could go to the art galleries, museums, and other local attractions. We also were able to explore the lake and the ranger there gave us lots of info! Our place was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Our last day there we stayed in and had a relaxing time there. Randall was quick to respond to our texts and is one of the nicest hosts ever. We highly recommend this place!

Great stay will likely book next summer. Only reason it wasn’t five stars was the oven was broke. I love to cook and had plans to use it. Owner was upfront about it, tried to get it fixed and gave a partial refund. So no hard feelings on that end.

Had a great stay! The house was very comfortable and roomy. It definitely felt like home! We will recommend to friends! Great location and beautiful views from the deck.

Excellent! I would recommend Captain's Quarters to anyone! I guess you would classify us a long term renters as we stayed for 4 weeks! Upon arrival, the place was very clean and welcoming. The instructions left on the wall were very helpful including emergency numbers. It was also so very convenient to have Lorna just next door in case we needed something. Randall was great in staying in communication with us. Check in and out was very easy. Everything was there that we needed, including a few food supplies to get us through the first day. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Elephant Butte or the T or C area! The location was perfect for our New Mexico adventure.

This was a perfect place for an extended family trip. Took in Carlsbad Caverns, white sands NP, and Elephant Butte Lake. Hunting was incredible. Beautiful town and a lot of fun to be had.

The view from the house of the lake is beautiful. The house is very comfortable as well. It’s nice having two kitchens especially when you have two different families living there for more than a few days. The owner is also very responsive to questions. This is a great property for a quiet getaway!

This place exceeded my expectations! It was nice to have the upper lever for the adults and the lower level for the kids. The location was great and it was very clean and beautifully put together. We were able to have the entire group we spent the weekend with over for dinner with no issues. Looking forward to staying again next year!

It was perfect for us. The kids liked the downstairs being kind of underground in a way. They called it their lair. It was all great.

We had such a blast visiting family in TorC. It was their Fiesta Festival so lots to do. The home was exactly what Randy had posted and was very comfortable, plenty of beds for everyone. There were some board games there we enjoyed in some of the quiet moments and when ready to settle down at night the apps on the tv's were easy to log into. Kitchen had what we needed as well as bed linens and towels etc. We really enjoyed the stay there!
