About this house rental
Our sophisticated shotgun style home is conveniently located near the French Quarter & only one block to Frenchmen St/Esplanade Ave; highly walkable, fun, active area! Unwind in your private courtyard with the sound of Jazz bands in the distance or BOOK A CULINARY EXPERIENCE with Chef Tiger who specializes in Creole cuisine! Several parking options in the area; free, metered/paid. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee you will find free parking due to the activity of the French Quarter.
Original pine floors, exposed brick and high ceilings throughout. One bedroom is fully private (king bed) and located just off the living room. You must walk through the second bedroom (king bed) to access the third bedroom (queen bed).
Both bathrooms are located in common areas and have walk-in showers (no tub).
The living room and each bedroom are equipped with a Smart TV.
The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking essentials and coffee/creamer for your morning cup of Joe!
There is a washer and dryer inside the home you are welcome to use (detergent is provided).
More than just a place to rest your head our pristine shotgun style home is owned by a personal Chef who specializes in Creole cuisine! Since every occasion needs food, please inquire about scheduling a private catering or cooking class for you and your family/group and allow us to create lasting memories with you and for you! While Southern fare is our specialty, we can prepare any cuisine of your liking. You can also book our concierge services to ease the burden of grocery/necessity shopping so you can focus on having the best time enjoying our wonderful city!
When booking our home you will not only be in an ideal location with both Frenchmen St and Esplanade Ave being only ONE BLOCK away, but you will have your very own private courtyard to relax and unwind in after a long day of sightseeing and beignet indulging! More about the area: We are situated on Royal St just a few doors down from "R Bar" and Royal Sushi. With so many restaurant and bar options all within walking distance you won't lack entertainment options! Snug Harbor, Port of Call, The Maison, The Spotted Cat, Three Muses, Marigny Brasserie, Royal Sushi, Horn's Eatery, Italian Barrel, Balcony Music Club (Just to name a few! ). Along with the outdoor French Market, Decatur St and the Riverfront Streetcar being only 4 blocks away. Bourbon St is 2.5 blocks away and then 4 more blocks down Bourbon to the action/nightlife!
We have a passion for cooking and participate in many local pop-up restaurants. Please ask us how we can prepare authentic Louisiana home cooking for you!
Due to the activity of the area, the private king bedroom that is situated at the front of the home may experience street noise at times from people walking by; we do provide earplugs.

The property managers were super helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions before and during our stay. There was a ton of space for our group of 6 and everything was super clean. The location is unbeatable with easy access to the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street while still feeling safe. Highly recommend booking a dinner with Chef Tiger as well as the meal was one of the highlights of our trip!

We had a WONDERFUL time in this lovely New Orleans home! The proximity to everything made our stay just perfect - the park, authentic neighborhood strolls, amazing restaurants, music, the local artist market - all just steps outside our door. Within a few minutes walk is the fun and bustling French Market, with Jackson Square and the Riverfront just beyond. We didn't want to leave!!

This home was a perfect home base for all activities. So close to great music on Frenchman Street and the French Quarter.
Home was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked. We felt very safe walking in the area.
Best part of the stay was meeting Chef Tiger on our first night for a Five Course Creole Cooking experience... amazing food, great family and New Orleans history.

A group of six of us stayed the weekend in this wonderful home. It's location is perfect, just a short walk from Frenchman St and all it has to offer. The heart of the French Quarter is only a 10 minute walk away. The home is laid out very well among the three bedrooms with plenty of space to socialize in the living room. The rear bedroom has a nice small outdoor space perfect for early morning coffee and a book. The rear bedroom also has an amazing top down rain fall shower that every guest should use at least once! If you want to get outside and enjoy the weather there is an amazing courtyard and table where we spent a large amount of time. Our trip was such a great experience due to the location and quality of this property that I plan to book this rental again when we come back to visit the city.

Loved our stay at this property and in New Orleans. The agent gave me all the info we needed in advance (access info, wifi password, instructions, etc.). All good.
Place was super clean, roomy and well cared for. The two king beds were comfortable, the showers hot, and the wifi nice and fast. TVs in every room.
The best part was the location. We were a block off Frenchman's Street - which for us, was huge. That meant the best music in the area. There were several nice restaurants within a block or two of the location.
Loved it all. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Perfect location to enjoy New Orleans Frenchmen Street just around the corner. Great home, luxurious bed linens, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen as promised. The outside private garden is perfect for late night drinks and conversation. Great dual central air/ heat works very good. TVs in every room to watch movies or simply turn on your favorite Jazz music.
We also reserved a cooking class/ experience with Chef Tiger. Our friends from New York loved this southern cooking experience, complete with Jazz Music and learning from the best chef. So celebrate and enjoy in this complete VRBO experience. We will be back soon!!! Thanks again.

If you are looking for a great place to stay in New Orleans, book this lovely home. Great jazz is right around the corner on Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter is walking distance down Royal Street. The pictures on line of the unit are absolutely correct and the property manager Christina and the owner of the unit were wonderful to work with and answered all of my questions. The home is just so cozy and welcoming, one night it was really raining and it was wonderful to enjoy staying in and watching football in our "home". When we come back again to New Orleans, and we will, we would come right back here!

I’m a former NOLA resident and now frequent visitor and there are two are always two issues with short term rentals: quality and safety. So many places confuse “charm” with just being rundown. Also, those familiar with NOLA know, safety is literally street to street—regardless of what neighborhood you are in.
That being said, this property is perfect. Charming, yet updated. And safe. Not once did we have a single issue—at the home or venturing out nearby.
The only thing I would caution folks about would be that you better be comfortable with the folks you’re staying with because you will be walking through each other’s bedrooms, unless you want to go outside and around through the (lovely) courtyard.

Wonderful Stay!
We stayed only three nights but loved every minute! Beautiful house with vintage charm. Very clean, nicely updated and a joy to relax in. The host was easy to communicate with and everything was as promised. Highly recommended if you are looking to visit New Orleans.

Besides the great location, the property was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. The owners clearly understand the little things that can make a place that much more enjoyable. We would most certainly look to this property first when we go back to NOLA. Great to be back for FQF!!!

Fun in NOLA
This property is beautiful, perfectly located for walking to many restaurants, bars, and tourist areas. Very clean and welcoming. Felt extremely safe too. Christina was great to work with and very accommodating to our group. Only drawback if you are a light sleeper is the street sounds at night. However, she provides earplugs - so thoughtful - and the noises quiet down. It was a delightful stay.
