We were happy in every respect with our stay in Fort Davis. The house is within walking distance of all FD businesses but the striking mountain scenery that surrounds the town is visible at all times. My favorite activity, despite the rather low temperatures in January, was to take long walks around the town and up toward the majestic cliffs. We all agreed on departure that it was one of our favorite stays.

This was a very nice clean home, more than I expected. The pictures don’t do justice. There are two full restrooms one just don’t have a bath tub. Location is Close to Marfa, Valentine and Alpine. You could go any direction easily.

I absolutely loved staying at David’s home. I was in Fort Davis for a race in the Davis Mountains. The home was perfectly located. I was able to cook my meals and get great sleep the days before the race. The house is very spacious and clean, has everything you need to feel like home. Thank you David, I hope to stay at your place again next year!

This property is well kept, better than described and perfect for a getaway to Ft. Davis. Quiet, great view, hummingbirds at the flowers, gorgeous pine tree to sit under and enjoy the midday breeze. Well apportioned, comfortable beds, couches, furniture. Close to wherever you want to be close to, far enough away from whatever you want to get away from.
Looking forward to a return visit as soon as life allows.

This is a very nicely remodeled home in Fort Davis Texas. The home has nice communal spaces and bedrooms. The kitchen is set up to minimally serve the number of people staying at the house, but most things are there if you decide to cook.

We had a great time in Fort Davis and the house was perfect for a long weekend. It was clean and well stocked and the host was very responsive. He even dropped off a couple of fire logs outside the front door for us if we wanted to use the fire place because the night was going to be cold. We look forward to returning to Fort Davis and staying at the Agave house again.

Spent the weekend here at McDonald Observatory with wife and kids. The home was perfect with a great location and felt like a home away from our own. The Adobe style was a first for me, but I loved it. We arrived late at night, so we awakened to a bright and sunny day surrounded by cliffs we couldn’t see at night, what a sight! We will return many times as long as it is available.

My husband, two-year-old daughter, and English Springer Spaniel stayed here, along with our friends and their two-year-old and we had a WONDERFUL stay!! The home itself has lots of charm and is located within walking distance to places like the coffee shop and Blue Mountain Grill (highly recommend)! The front of the house is completely fenced in, making it perfect for our dog to play fetch. We also appreciate the nice grass in front yard for our dog.
Both families enjoyed the lovely starry skies at night and the peaceful neighborhood. We saw lots of mule deer and took nice walks up and down the streets surrounding the home.
David is very friendly and responsive and had everything we needed! From the cooking ware to the blankets to extra towels to fun games and toys for the toddlers, David thought of everything! I will mention we just had to buy extra toilet paper and paper towels, as there was not enough for two families.
The fireplace was a nice feature, as it was in the teens the second day we were in Fort Davis! We were impressed with the size of the rooms and, due to the size of our party, one toddler slept in the giant walk-in closet in master bedroom while the other had the twin bed room. The Jack and Jill bathroom was luxurious, with its claw foot tub and big shower!
One thing I particularly appreciated about the bathroom was the amount of storage space. The two drawers under the sink were very large and had separators, making it very easy to place all toiletries neatly inside!
We will definitely stay again. Thanks, David!

Excellent, comfortable master bedroom bed. Forgot to find the name of the mattress; hope David will let us know. Walking distant to shops, restaurants and churches. Quiet. Easy to find. Good sized rooms. Good lighting. Excellent decorating. Only negatives - couldn't find cutting board, master bath sink drained slowly, and lawn sprinklers came on at 10 am causing us to track in dirt when checking out by 11 am.

OMG! The Agave House is AH-MAZING! This property is so well kept and has all the coziness to make you instantly feel at home. It is central to downtown Fort Davis and all the great sites in the area and within distance to Big Bend. Our family loved everything about this house and its charm. And as a bonus, we were gifted Agave House granola and local coffee by the owners - what a bonus treat! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We will definitely be back!

Property was wonderful. Quiet and relaxing little house then was in excellent shape and in a quiet neighborhood. David was very accommodating by allowing to us to bring a third dog. WE would not have been able to visit Fort Davis because his property was the only one, I could find in Fort Davis that we could afford that allowed pets. I will be recommending David's proprerty to all my friends and family.

Absolutely adorable!
The cutest and most immaculate adobe house with great accommodations. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils and flatware, dishes, etc. Beds and pillows were super comfy and towels super absorbent. Playing cards and board games were provided, although we did not use them...too much to see and do outdoors while we were there! The sunsets and view of the backside of Sleeping Lion Mountain were very enjoyable in the evenings from the backyard. The owners went out of their way to make certain their guests are well taken care of, and if I go back to visit, I would gladly stay at this property again!

Pleasent and peaceful retreat
My son and I spent four nights here while attending a "star party" at the McDonald Observatory and visiting Big Bend National Park. The beautifully and thoughtfully appointed southwestern style home was a wonderful retreat from the adventures of the day. It was very clean and quiet with a fenced yard for our pooch to relax in. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs, we enjoyed watching the turkey vultures soar on the updrafts. The home is conveniently located, just a few blocks off the main street and highway in Fort Davis, in a quiet neighborhood.
