About this house rental
This new lake house rental is available by the week, checking in Saturday at 4 PM and checking out by 10 AM the following Saturday.
Built for vacationing with family and enjoying time on beautiful Great Pond. Enjoy kayaking, swimming and fishing right from your own own private dock with a pulley mooring system, easy to use and no need for a dinghy to get to and from your boat and dock. The house is filled with natural light and beautiful views of Great Pond from the living, kitchen and dining spaces. Easy to operate heating and cooling system to bring comfort to those chilly mornings or hot mid-summer nights.
On the main floor (driveway level) are two bedrooms with half bath, large bathroom with full laundry, large kitchen, dining, and living room areas. Walk out onto a large wrap-around deck 70'x10' overlooking the lake with dining for 8 and plenty of comfy chairs and end tables for relaxing. Decorated with earth-friendly materials wherever possible and furnished with non-toxic furniture and rugs.
Downstairs is where two kids' bedrooms are: one bedroom with a bunkbed (twin on top, double on the bottom) with storage drawers below the lower bed, and one with two twin beds with old MCM Danish headboards and a full bathroom nearby the bedrooms. Also a great room with large non-toxic sectional and TV, puzzle/game table and chairs. Great views of the lake through three large windows facing the lake and access outside via a sliding glass door.
The above rooms and beds sleep 9 comfortably.
Spacious new kitchen with all new appliances, pots, pans, utensils, silverware, etc. Lobster pot included (please cook all lobsters outside on the side burner of the new grille)
Large deck wraps around the South and West (lake-facing) sides of the camp, with new grille, dining table and chairs, and lounging chairs.
Lakeside area with large dock, swimming area (not mucky like most shores, the shore is firm and sandy, though there are rocks along the shore, too - it's Belgrade!) Picnic table along the shore for afternoon lunches!
Well appointed kitchen, full laundry, books and games...lots of cozy furniture.
Handicap access for wheelchair access to a bedroom and a bathroom on main floor (truss construction has complicated this, so we will be building a ramp - no WC access at this time)
Large hangout area for kids downstairs with cozy new nontoxic sectional.
Multiple pieces of furniture made in Maine from reclaimed barn boards recovered from the Black Mansion in Ellsworth, Maine. Other furniture made by Amish and other shops from Ohio to Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Maine.

The house was great. It is well equiped, it has everything that you need for a stay with a big group. The house was very clean and the host very supportive and friendly; before and during our stay. All in all we had a great time.

I have only wonderful things to say about this beautiful, comfortable house, and the absolutely lovely lake—we swam and kayaked every day, heaven—and Ross, who was extremely helpful and communicative. One of the best rentals I've ever found, would not hesitate to return and recommend without reservation.

We visited Maine to attend our son’s graduation at Colby College and stayed in this terrific home. It is very new and sparkling clean with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. About 25 minutes’ drive to the college. We were out and about all day and it was nice to come home to this peaceful and quiet place!

Super relaxing. Lovely setting and incredibly well-equipped house for my family of adult children, my wife and me. Canoe and kayak rental was easy but did add more cost. A possible addition to enhance the wonderful rental might be to add a couple of kayaks, life vests, and/or a canoe to make the experience even more complete.

The camp is new and well stocked just like a home. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner on Saturday. We arrived two hours earlier and the camp was ready so we were allowed to move in. Had such a good time that everyone wants to return next year.

We had a great week at this lake house. Lake was beautiful, and the house worked well for our two families (4 adults, and 5 kids ages 9-12)!

We had an excellent week at this camp. The house was well spotless, well-stocked , and comfortable. Our family spent many happy hours in the bright main space playing games at the long dining table and reading on the cozy sofas while the teenagers took over the TV and sectional downstairs and had a great time away from parents. Plus, the dock was great for paddle boarding, swimming or taking in the sunsets over the lake.
Ross also went out of his way to FedEx me my wallet after it fell unnoticed behind the bed. Thanks Ross!

Best Summer Getaway
What a lovely spot to escape during the summer. The house is brand new and has nice common spaces for gathering. A short walk down the hill you are on your own dock and a beautiful lake.
Everything was perfect! Ross the owner is very nice and helpful.

Much needed down time
The rental was incredibly clean and the property was immaculate. We used the grill multiple times and it worked great. The kitchen is well appointed. We rented a boat locally and using the portage system was simple. The AC kept the cabin areas cool when the temperature kicked up as well. Ross was great to work with throughout the entire process.

Fantastic Summer Escape
Property was beautiful and new and well-stocked. The term CAMP was exactly accurate. The spaces are lovely but compact. Designed to accommodate and super comfy inside; but encouraging and ideal to spend more time outside where space abounds. Overall, outstanding summer vacation and owners were extremely attentive to our needs.

The house was the perfect fit for us, very clean and well equipped, and the location is outstanding.

Perfect house for 8 adults
We loved staying here for a week. It is unusual for rentals to have dining and seating areas to accommodate 8 adults, but there was plenty of room here. Perfect location. Lake is gorgeous, town is quaint and fun to be in. The walk down to and up from the lake was a little difficult for the 77 year old in our group due to incline, but she could do it with assistance. We rented a boat, which I highly recommend as the lake is magnificent.

review of 10 Pike Drive/Belgrade Region
We were fortunate enough to be the first family to occupy this brand new house on Great Pond. All of the details from the kitchen stocked to the gills with every utensil and piece of dishware imaginable to the colorful (bath and beach) towels nothing was overlooked by Ross and Christine. The house even has an HVAC system which was great as we had a few really hot and humid days. We had a few movie nights with the kids spreading out in their cozy basement entertainment area with large screen tv and a huge sectional couch. A few (very minor) things came up as you would expect with a brand new house and Ross was very prompt in responding to my texts. We had an issue with the dishwasher and Ross was there the same day with a brand new unit. The new dock was great and Ross introduced us to a local SUP/canoe rental company that had the devices waiting for us lakeside the day we arrived. Early morning coffee walks down the winding dirt lane amidst the chirping birds, bushes and ferns was how I started each day. The grill, the large rap around deck, the firepit with cover, Ross and Christine thought of everything. Thanks again, we will be back! The Hirshlands, Boulder, CO
