About this cabin rental
Creekside cabin- all-wheel drive recommended during extreme weather conditions. (one-lane dirt road) Located on a native brown trout stream, 3 minutes to downtown Boone, and ASU; minutes to local shopping, dining, and entertainment. This 500 sq. ft. tiny home is a 2/1 with lofted queen beds in each bedroom offering four people a comfortable stay. Fully equipped kitchen, gas grill, covered porch, Wi-Fi with high-speed internet, smart TV, and Chromecast. One lane, unmaintained road. Stairs to the house. Stairs to both beds. Come relax and unwind to the sound of a rushing creek just 5 miles from Appalachian Ski Mtn., and 25 miles from Beech Ski Resort.

We had a great stay in Boone. This cabin is just far enough away from town to make you feel like you escaped to the mountains. The sound of the creek out front was gray white noise to fall asleep to as well.

I selfishly do not want to write a review because this place was amazing, and I want to rent it out all year!!! The creekside cabin is tucked away on a cute road. You would think you were in a remote location once in the home, yet the town of Boone is minutes away. The serenity of the creek is incomparable. The home itself is extremely functional. The owners thoughtfully add everyday necessities like TP, coffee, spices, etc. There are also beach chairs and games. There are AC units and heaters in the bedrooms. The beds are cozy and falling asleep to the creek is peaceful. This place is a must stay! It has easy access to the parkway and attractions near Boone.

This was my 2nd time staying here and the owner is very quick to respond and very helpful, I came up to visit my daughter at App State and see a play that she was performing in. Itās a very nice relaxing location and I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Boone

My family and I had a wonderful mountain getaway in part thanks to John and Wendy's cabin property. Hospitable hosts who thought of all the vacation comforts and needs, very prompt responses to any questions we had prior to and during the trip, and a beautifully built tiny cabin for family memory making. The woodwork in the cabin was well constructed and we had enough room for our family of four to move around. The location of the property was close to town and nearby sights but still set enough into the mountains for quiet and rest. We look forward to returning each season to this tiny cabin!

I was looking for a little place to stay while visiting my daughter at App State and this was a great alternative to the hotels in the area, John was very quick to respond with Q & Aās and it was a very easy process to rent and get into the property, itās nice and quiet and relaxing and has a great screening in porch to relax on. Itās also in a close proximity to App State it was only 3 miles to my daughters apartment so it was really convenient. I will definitely be renting it again on my future visits to see my daughter in Boone.

Lovely little cabin. Lots of attractive details - woodwork, art, loft beds (not for anyone prone to falling out), super well-equipped kitchen, super clean, lovely porch next to babbling creek. Perfect for getting there and staying put - I wouldnāt want to drive those roads in the dark after dining out. Very responsive and thoughtful host. For example, Contacted me to ask if I wanted them to put on outside lights in case of late arrival.

This is such a cute little house that is in Boone but will have you feeling secluded. It is so charming how well the space has been utilized and our 3.5 year old loved sleeping in the loft space. The house was immaculately clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owner is very easy to get a hold of if needed. The house doesn't have central heat or air so if you're staying during a temperature swing it could take some experimenting to get perfectly comfortable. Would stay again - great little place!

This was my dadās second time staying here. we came up and stayed in June and he fell on love. Beautiful and peaceful scenery, but still only a couple minutes away from downtown Boone. Iām sure we will be back!

We had a great stay at the Creekside Cabin! We were really impressed by all the little tiny ways in which space has been optimized. The cabin was very clean and super comfortable for a family of four. Our kids enjoyed sharing the room with the lofted bed - the older one slept up in the loft and we brought an air mattress for the younger one, which fit nicely underneath. And John even left the light on for us on the evening of our arrival. Thanks so much! If we're back in Boone we'll look forward to staying here again.

The cabin is really cute. All of the woodwork is bright, clean and looks like new. While overall the cabin is small, all of the unique touches allow for plenty of room.
The kitchen is stocked with anything you need for cooking; including commonly used spices and basics.
I would definitely stay here again.

Best VRBO visit - donāt pass this one up!
What am amazing place. This was the best host yet! From the hand sanitizer inside the door to the flashlights by the beds the hosts thought of everything. Anything I wanted and things I hadnāt even considered was there - coffee, creamer, sugar, popcorn, filtered water and much more. Itās a comfortable and very interesting home. I will be back in Boone again and will stay here any time itās available.
The turn off the main road is easily missed so go slow and watch your gps. Once there you will love it. The beautiful creek is right across the rocky road that only had two cars pass while we were staying. Towels for the creek are provided but Iād bring some sort of water shoes. Itās very pretty and inviting!

Graduation weekend
We came to Boone to celebrate our sonās graduation from App State. This place was perfectly located , the perfect size, very tastefully decorated and very accompanying for what we needed. I would totally stay here anytime I came to Boone! Wonderful place!

Great location, very comfortable
This property is in an excellent location to make it a home base for adventures in and around Boone - you can hit the Parkway without even going through town. It was obvious that a great deal of thought went in to the layout and contents of the home. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, the kitchen area was great to prepare meals in, and overall we were very impressed that a space that might be considered :small" did not feel that way at all.

Quick weekend stay...
My family stayed here for the weekend so our daughter could attend the Appalachian State Open House. The cabin was a perfect proximity to the campus as well as the other amenities Boone has to offer. The cabin was very comfortable and clean, and the communication from the owners was great. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Paradise
I cannot say enough about this little cabin. I went with two teenage girls. I selected this cabin because of the proximity to Appalachian State. I was surprised to find that we felt secluded but were only a few minutes from App. State. There was ample room in the cabin. We never felt cramped. There was every convenience of home! There were ample kitchen utensils. They have even stocked the cabin with coffee, creamer, and sugar. This made my day because I had left my coffee at home. The cabin was spotless. The teenagers loved the loft beds! The furniture was comfortable. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the babbling brook. I cannot wait to come back in the summer and play in the brook. We will be back!

Absolute 5 Star Accommodation
WOW. Don't let the small size of this cabin fool you. We had everything we needed and then some! We are a family of four that travel pretty extensively all over the US, and definitely all-over Western NC. We are used to places having their perks and quirks. No quirks here, just all perks! The craftsmanship, the floor plan, the essentials and decor- everything is so well thought out. The beds and linens are all top quality and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and has plenty of extras like hot cocoa and microwaveable popcorn, and the bathroom has a good supply of TP and lots of soft towels. No issues with hot water and the shower is really nice. We stayed very warm and cozy even during a massive snowstorm and crazy high winds. Never lost power, thankfully, and anything we needed to get us through was provided. John (and Wendy) have been amazing hosts. We highly recommend!!

Creekside cabin winter getaway
Creekside cabin was a home base for my family and I while snowboarding at sugar mountain and it couldn't have been more perfect! No detail was missed and the cabin was even better than pictured! We've stayed many places and this is a #1! Sitting on the front porch listening to the creek was peaceful and enjoyable for the boys to play by. This home brings the feel of being in the mountains while also being a short drive from town. The home is very spacious and beds/ bedding were beyond comfortable you didn't want to get out of bed! Eggs, condiments, coffee and hot chocolate were left for us which was a very nice personal touch. Everything we could have needed was stocked in the home, nothing was missed! Thank you John and Wendy for an amazing stay! We will definitely be back!
