We had a great time here. The house was clean, well stocked and in the perfect location. Just a few houses down from a gas pump, the convenience of this house is hard to beat. Also the owner was very friendly and helpful.

Great house and location.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This is a beautiful home in a wonderful location. Some of the factors that stood out to us were: the back yard on a canal leading to Jug Creek, the myriad of birds all around (bald eagles, ospreys, pelicans, ibis to name a few), 2 kayaks for our use with easy access to Jug Creek for paddling and fishing, quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We spent a lot of time just hanging out in the back yard and enjoying life on a beautiful and unspoiled subtropical island. Oh, and on our last day, discovered a 34 acre Calusa Land Trust Nature Preserve within walking distance.

Not clean.
The area and layout of house was great. Low rating due to not clean and we had to clean before we could enjoy our weekend. I took photos, but it won’t let me post them.
Dirty dishes in sink, dirty utensils on stove along with lots of crumbs and hair. All the kitchen counters were full of crumbs and sticky stuff. Main bathroom sink had hair all in it. Master bed was all messed up like someone slept in it prior to us. Water bottle half drank on kitchen counter and suntan lotion on end table in living room. Coffee table and dining table had hand prints and oily smudges all over them. Messed up blanket on couch and when I picked it up there was debris from the yard all over couch. We never sat on the furniture and always sat at dining table. Underwear/bathing suit bottoms on back porch. Due to Covid and the place not being clean we totally sanitized the place including doorhandles and did the floors and washed and dried all the sheets before we could even enjoy our stay. When I called the owner to bring it to his attention he said he had just left there the day before and he would send me money for my time of cleaning but never even asked my address or any information of how he would get the money to me. Over the past 10+ years we have rented many houses around Charlotte Harbor and we have never had to clean one upon arrival. Bedrooms need better mattresses. Other than that the location is great if you like to fish or be near the water.

Perfect vacation.
This house was perfect! The neighborhood and canal were peaceful. Everything promised was available and more. If you want to eat out it was a short drive to many options and action. We had another couple stay with us a couple of nights and the home was very comfortable for everyone.

Beautiful quiet stay. Wish we stayed longer.
I would highly recommend this place. Quiet and being on the canal and kayaking was an adventure especially seeing the well known “lefty” dolphin.
