My family and I had the most wonderful week stay at Sweetwater Lodge! We all stayed we’ve never stayed in a rental property that has been so well-appointed and felt so home-y and SO clean. It’s decorated perfectly, has all kinds of modern technology (we LOVED the Sonos system) and amazing amenities. Ashley is amazing at communicating and making sure we had everything we needed. It’s a great location to drive to downtown Asheville. We 100% recommend staying there!

We will definitely be back! This property is amazing and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

We were lucky enough to find this house after our original house cancelled on us. This house lacks nothing. Ashley was easy to work with and provided more detail about the house and surrounding area then any other property we have dealt with over the years. Convenient to both The Biltmore and The Polar Express. My grandkids tell me we are going back next Christmas. We will see if we can make that work. Definitely a house everyone should consider.

Majestic house with one of a kind dining room! The views offer a serene environment that is hard to beat.

This house was as beautiful in person as it was in the pictures. The house was extremely well equipped with everything and anything we could have needed. The beds were also extremely comfortable. The host was so accommodating and kind. I highly recommend this property.

Fantastic property that accomodated 6 generations of family, some whom traveled as far away as Australia. The house is very well appointed, spotless, and with a view that has to be seen to be appreciated.
Thank you for an outstanding stay at Sweetwater.

Our family of 10 stayed at Sweetwater Lodge for 6 days mid October. It was a wonderful time for us. The property is even better in person than it looks online (which is saying something!). There was plenty of space for all of us and our various life stages, the furnishings and views were gorgeous, lots of touches that made us feel right at home. As we were celebrating a few milestones, the 10 of us being able to sit at one table (the views!) for family meals was so important to us. We had s’mores on our last night and saw wild turkeys and a deer just walked through. Very special place. We highly recommend and can’t wait to return again soon!

We spent 4 night at Sweetwater Lodge celebrating my wife's birthday. We were joined by our adult children and 3 grandchildren. This home was perfect for our party of 10. We were close enough to Asheville and the airport but pleasantly removed from the hustle of the city. Great place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful mountains views. This was a re-energizing 4 days. The hosts were great to work with and answered all my questions (and there were plenty) promptly and graciously. Highly recommend this property!!!

The home is gorgeous in a spectacular setting. It has everything one needs. As usual, we took some specialty utensils and pans, but they weren't needed.
Ashley is a great communicator and the check in was so easy. We appreciated the information provided in advance and made reservations at Chef's Table in Waynesville. If you like wonderful food in a cozy dining room, don't miss it.
Hopefully, we will be able to return to Sweetwater Lodge.

We had a wonderful family reunion at the Sweetwater Lodge just outside Asheville, NC. The house was beautiful and had all the high-end amenities one could possibly need. The kitchen was large and well equipped! The dining room had a very large round table where all nine of us could eat, laugh, play games, and enjoy each other’s company. We all loved the lazy susan in the middle of the table.
We have five beautiful days of sunshine and loved the view and the sunsets! The porch is large with a wonderful table that we had fun creating ‘arts & crafts’ together!
Many hours were spent enjoying the great pool table and the jacuzzi! One night under the stars we had fun making s’mores.
There are large televisions in every room and music can be piped through the entire three level house.
Each day the family went on adventures that were located within a 30 – 60 minute drive; of course one was the beautiful gardens at the Biltmore Estates.

This spacious home combines beauty and comfort in its interior and exterior. The huge round table dining with large lazy-susan gave our large family “community”, joy and face to face time together. Whether watching sunsets or playing pool; children with lots of deck time and bubble maker; 1000 piece puzzle jointly accomplished…all of us would like to return to this amazing Sweetwater Lodge!

Ashley has thought of everything! Plenty of room for 3 generations/3 families. Plenty of room for all ten of us to congregate particularly at the huge round table, but also lots of cozy nooks for “me time”. Beautifully decorated!

There were ten of us and the house fit us perfectly. Lots of room for everyone to spread out and get together. Grandkids got to see fireflies for the first time. Also saw a bobcat in the yard. Had a great time exploring the area, Ashville, Black Mountain, Biltmore and even did a walk with llamas at Earthshine Lodge. Property manager was very responsive.

This vacation house for our holiday with family and friends was everything we expected, and more. The house had lovely views of the mountains, and it was equipped with anything we could have wanted. Other than groceries, we didn’t have to buy a thing other than extra paper products! (We were still discovering some of the amenities the day before we left!) The house is convenient to all the Asheville and Waynesville/Maggie Valley attractions, and is designed so that it easily held our entire party of 8 adults and 2 children while still affording us all our privacy. Ashley also provided us with a Pack and Play for our one-year-old! We can’t wait to go back!

Sweetwater Lodge was just perfect for our family vacation! Plenty of room, and space for our extended family. The kitchen was beautifully appointed with many added amenities such as Expresso, vita mixer, and large waffle iron which was certainly a hit! Also, a full under counter ice maker, that was in constant use. The grill was exceptionally clean and in beautifull condition as was the Solo stove for evening gathering. The dining table accommodated all of us and the beds were extremely comfortable. We had a bit of bad weather, so the family had many delightful games of pool and the hot tub soaked away the days fun of zip lining, white water rafting, tubing and long walks in the NC Botanical Gardens. Our Host was always accommodating and available 24-7.
A truly wonderful vacation rental that we all would recommend and give 5 stars!

Fantastic location. Minutes from the interstate and halfway between Asheville and Waynesville. My family had a great stay and talked of a repeat visit. The host was gracious and helpful.

We had a great stay at the Sweetwater Lodge. The house itself is beautiful and it was well equipped for cooking, etc….it even had a Vitamix. It’s in a beautiful area pretty close to Asheville but more secluded. Ashley (our host) was very attentive to our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

We just did a nice vacation with friends and family. This cabin has everything you need and the property is beautiful. We even had a Christmas tree in the living room and saw a few deer in the front yard one morning. We went and explored some great food places in Asheville and had a wonderful time at Sierra Nevada Brewery. We highly recommend this place for a big group. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us!

From luxury linens to a well equipped kitchen this house has everything. Our extended family enjoyed our holiday vacation immensely.

Three families left sunny Florida to come to the mountains to enjoy the change of seasons and start the Christmas celebration early.
The house was immaculate, every wife in the family has an extra long Christmas list after visiting this house. Everything was very high end. The kids enjoyed sleepovers in the bunk bed room while the adults enjoyed peace and quiet in their own rooms (sans kids). The house was plenty big for a group of 6 adults, 5 kids. It was centrally located to all the attractions we went there for. I know all 3 couples will definitely come back and stay.
Not to mention the host was very attentive (we left mid hurricane) and she was very understanding that we would need an earlier check in.
10/10 highly recommend

Perfect house for a girls trip to Asheville! Gorgeous, well-appointed and plenty enough space to be alone or together for fun times. Host was excellent, quick to respond, and gave us great suggestions for activities and dining. Would definitely book again.

Everything was first class. The view, the privacy, all the creature comforts. The house was completely furnished and even the pantry and refrigerator were stocked. There were 2 kegs of beer with taps near the hot tub and fire pit. There are games, books, puzzles and a pool table. You never have to leave.

Stayed here for a weekend with friends; this house has everything! Our stay could not have been more perfect. One word of caution--we had some difficulty getting Uber/Lyft rides at this address. Suspect it was just a bit too far from downtown.

The house is amazing! It is beautiful and worked perfectly for our family. Ashley, the host, was incredibly responsive and always got back to us immediately. The house is very well equipped with anything you might need. It is very accessible to the highway. There is a beautiful view from every room in the house and the deck is very peaceful. There is lots to do in the area. We went hiking, played golf, visited the Biltmore (a must), spent time in Ashville and much more. We also made several trips to Lake Junaluska, which is close by and has a paved path around a beautiful lake, as well as tennis, pickleball, and more. I would very highly recommend Sweetwater Lodge to anyone looking to visit the Ashville area.

80th birthday celebration
This property was a perfect gathering spot for a family celebration. It had enough room for all 10 people to have privacy with all the bathrooms. Yet the layout was also great for get togethers at the wonderful well stocked kitchen and the 10 seater dining room where we ate each night. The pool table was a star with all gathering for games. It was nice to see the teenagers get off their phones ! Ashley was a super communicative manager. Everyone had a great time.

Fantastic Friends' Getaway
We were a group of 4 couples looking for a place to get away for about a week. We choose Sweetwater Lodge in Canton, NC for our stay and we are so happy we did! The accommodations were beautiful, and it worked perfectly for the 4 couples. Ashley, the host, could not have been more accommodating and responsive. If we had any questions or couldn't locate something, we would text her and she would respond almost immediately. She also assisted us with suggestions on where to go and what to do. The location is great and close to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway as well as several other small towns such as Canton, Waynesville, Black Mountain and Maggie Valley that were all fun to explore. The Lodge was well equipped with all the kitchen supplies and utensils that we needed for out stay and the pots and pans and knives were all top notch. We used the grill, solo stove and hot tub and all were great. Ashley even left us all the fixings that we needed for s'mores which we enjoyed almost every night on one of the beautiful patios/decks! The views are breathtaking from the patios/decks and so peaceful with plenty of sitting places for everyone. We very much enjoyed or stay and will definitely be back. We highly recommend Sweetwater Lodge for a family or friends getaway!

Beautiful
Our stay at Sweetwater Lodge was perfect. Ashley was so easy to work with. Great with communication. She gave us suggestions and places to visit.
The house was a “dream home”. It had every amenity and was so comfortable for our family of 6. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could imagine you could need. The new mattress and linens are so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud.
The little town of canton has great shops/boutiques and the best coffee shop (@PapertownCoffee).
We visits Asheville several times as well as Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and even climbed Clingman’s Dome.
We will be back to stay at Sweetwater Lodge and with Ashley.

Luxury Mountain Getaway
My family had the opportunity to visit Sweetwater Lodge and we fell in love and can’t wait to return! The house is located a very short 15-20 minute drive from Asheville and also in close proximity to Waynesville and Maggie Valley, two adorable towns. The house is a dream! Our 4 and 7 year olds loved the kid’s room and bunkbed, complete with a big screen TV!!! Our host also thoughtfully provided welcome gifts/toys for the kids which they absolutely loved! To say she went above and beyond is an understatement. The rooms are all so tastefully and beautifully decorated and the mattresses and sheets make you feel like you’re in a 5 star hotel! Additionally, the bedrooms and living spaces have TVs that are all programed with all of the apps you can think of and the full house Sonos speakers added to the ambiance (all controlled by the house iPad). We were blown away at the number of “living spaces” all on different floors, which made it nice to enjoy a movie while the kid’s watched something in the media room (which also doubles as an office and includes a daybed with trundle). The home offers high speed internet from Spectrum and we never had any connection issues. We enjoyed cooking on the gas stove in the kitchen which was fully stocked with All Clad cookware and any supplies or items you could need for meal prep. The house also has a Weber Grill for grilling and there is no more beautiful view than from the spectacular dining room. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy with our extended family! The kids LOVED the hot tub and the host provided all of the s’mores ingredients and firewood to do s’mores on the Solo Stove fire pit. Lastly, Ashley was very communicative prior to and during our stay. She answered all of our questions right away and had great suggestions on places to go and things to do. She was extremely thoughtful in the gifts for the kids and the s’mores treats and we can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a relaxing get away in a gorgeous home (complete with so many tech and luxury amenities), this is the place for you! We will definitely be returning to this property for many years to come!
