It is located within a quiet area of Scarborough, yet is just a 5 minutes walk from Scarborough's North and South beaches, the town centre and historic harbour. The Helaina overlooks Scarborough's North Bay with stunning of the sea, beach, castle and miles of coastline

There is no shortage of great pubs, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The Helaina is perfectly placed for walkers, and superb local cliff walks are easily accessed from the accommodation. Alternatively a few minutes' drive brings you onto the North Yorkshire Moors. Free local parking permits are available to our guests on arrival, and the accommodation has a licensed drinks service and free WiFi throughout.

Our newly refurbished rooms are modern, stylish and very comfortable. Guests enjoy high quality en-suite facilities with soft bathrobes, large bath towels, beautiful toiletries and 1000 pocket sprung beds. Our bedrooms are packed with goodies including free WiFi, digital TV, hair driers, and refreshments including biscuits, tea, filter coffee, fruit teas and hot chocolate. Guests can expect the highest quality decor.

We offer a great breakfast menu including; Full English, Full Vegetarian, Smoked Salmon Scrambled Eggs and Bagel and a range of Omelettes and Toasties. A continental selection of fresh Cafetiere Coffee, a choice of Breakfast, Fruit and Herbal Teas, Fruit Juices, fresh Fruit Salad, Pastries, Yogurts and freshly baked Bread. Breakfast is always served to 10am on the weekends.

A very classy, spotlessly clean guesthouse in a great location, overlooking North Bay. Very quiet setting, although so close to the bustling town centre (10 mins). Lovely breakfast and great hosts!

This was our second stay at Helaina and we'll be back. The rooms and public areas are spotless, beds comfortable and breakfasts enough to last you to tea time! All the staff are friendly and helpful, making us feel really welcome. Good value too. The location is perfect for concerts at the Open Air theatre, the cricket or for long walks if the weather permits.

A convenient area for exploring Scarborough and the wider area. The hotel and our room is beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed. Your staff were friendly and very helpful and worked very hard providing an excellent service. Our room (2) was too small for two people with two cases and felt cramped.

Usual friendly, helpful service and a great breakfast. Would also add that the shower head in room one needs replacing... it's not good at all and I did mention this last summer when staying in the same room. Could also do with some form of soap dish/tray in there :-). Regards, J.

We stayed at Helaina in September and what a good choice it was. The place is kept to a very high standard and the room on the 2nd floor was comfortable and cosy with numerous extras. Lucki looked after us at breakfast and what a super service. The Yorkshire Breakfast was of a superb standard and presentation. Situated above the North Bay it has great views. So yes, we would definitely stay again. Tip... Book direct for the best deals Thanks for a great stay 😊 Alex & Kath

Tom and Jill, the owners, were very friendly and accomodating on a personal level. The view of the North Bay and the Castle from our room was fantastic. Close to both the Marine Drive and the beach for walks, and also only 5 minutes walk to the town centre.

After taking in the fine view of the bay and cliffs, I entered to a warm welcome from Looki. Her service was fantastic throughout. Being upgraded to a sea view room was a treat. The room itself was immaculate with a quality bathroom and comfortable bed. In the evening I had a delicious meal at Lezzet Mediterranean Bistro. Like many of Scarborough's best restaurants, it's less than 10 minutes' walk away. Everything at breakfast the next day, including the full Yorkshire, was spot-on.

A warm and cosy oasis on a cold and blustery day. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure my comfort. Breakfast was a wonderful selection of first class food. The Heleina felt more like an elegant hotel but with all the friendliness of a B&B.

Beautiful hotel with really wonderful staff with a ideal location for both north & south bays & within easy walking distance to the high street & shops. Accommodation immaculate with outstanding breakfast each morning which was served with beautiful presentation & fresh & hot.
