Ease of access and communication with owner was great. At arrival there were some less than savory characters hanging out in the parking lot (assuming tenants of the building) but they didn’t bother us. Inside of home smelled a bit like stale cigarette smoke. I immediately retrieved my odor eliminator spray from my vehicle and gave the place a good spray throughout. No paper towels, hand towel, dish soap, sponge or anything like that in the kitchen so we weren’t able to wash out our cups, and had to go to the bathroom to wash our hands. Toilet is so close to the vanity that my hip touched the vanity when sitting on it (I am small, 5’1” and 150lbs) so def would be a difficult task for a larger person. Dining table is a bit big for the space it’s in so not really possible for 4 people to use. We chose to go out to dinner instead of ordering in because of this. Other than that it was reasonably ok for a short term stay.

Scott seems like a great host! The property wasn’t cleaned well, but I didn’t say anything to him until after we left, so he didn’t have an opportunity to make our experience better. I would stay with Scott again if next time the property was more acceptable upon arrival!

Overall, this place is okay. The highlight is the price, which is great, and the location is nearby downtown, it was quiet outside at night, and the kitchen and bathroom were nicer. The downside was that it felt stuffy and humid in the apartment and smelled of smoke (likely because neighbors smoke cigarettes out their front doors downstairs). The decor and furniture were old, and the bedroom was in the same room as the main door and a big window, making me wish the security was better. It was an okay place to rest my head while working in Greensboro, but I would not return for leisure.

Booking & Communication: The check-in instructions were clear but had a different address than my reservation. The host did not clarify this discrepancy when asked. He said the entire building is non-smoking (important). Check-In & First Impressions: Upon entering, I found the unit stuffy with open windows, reeking of marijuana smoke. The windows were dirty, and one did not lock properly. There were no paper towels. I immediately informed Scott, who apologized for the lack of paper towels, dismissed my concern about the windows citing “You’re on the second floor.” Did not address the smell or cleanliness. Further Issues & Decision to Leave: Later, I highlighted additional issues: trash in the closet and drawers, and stains on the bathroom curtain and walls. These conditions were unacceptable, especially due to my asthma and allergies. He did not respond, so I decided to leave. Refund Attempts: Despite the host promising to refund me May 11, it was not processed. Multiple follow-up messages on May 11 and 13 were mostly ignored. On May 13, when I said I would escalate to VRBO, he almost instantly processed a partial refund, claiming it was the maximum allowed. Final attempts to clarify the address discrepancy, cleanliness, and understand the partial refund led to the host responding defensively and dismissively. Conclusion: This rental was highly unsatisfactory due to the unit’s poor condition and inadequate and unprofessional host response. I cannot recommend this rental.

Place smelled like cigarettes even though it was listed as non smoking. People in the parking lot told us it was not a safe place to stay. Pictures and descriptions are a lot nicer than actual accommodations. We canceled because we did not feel satisfied or safe, was given a partial refund.

This is a great place to stay..I had work in downtown Greensboro..I could walk to work everyday..On the weekend my sister and I took a free trolly..We called Scott once he picked up the first ring bery nice..We would certainly come back again..Thank you Scott!!!

Was in town for a quick couple nights. Nicely Located Apartment not far from anything and everything you need in town. Easily accessable. Quiet area. Overall great location.

Property was great with a good location to my events as well as downtown. It was well equipped with everything needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Enjoyed my stay. Could have used a lamp at the bedside. Thanks.

Our stay was good, but there were a couple of little things like the ceramic in the bathtub just kept peeling and the stairs coming up to the unit we’re pretty shaky and not sturdy. Otherwise always good. Thank you.

This is a great Find !! The place was very comfortable felt right at home . Clean neat . Host was Great 👍😊. Close to downtown food place . We stayed their for the Cannonball half marathon. Close to event .

The property was clean, but I was a little disappointed that it was not the same unit shown online. However, it served the purpose of a much needed break from everything giving me and my hubby a chance to just be with each other. The location was as described which made for beautiful walks in the warm Fall breeze.

We had a great weekend. The property is blocks away from where we were spending most of our time, making it very easy to walk everywhere. It's only a few more blocks from a coffee shop we found that we liked (Union) and other fun downtown spots (Boxcar). The place itself was perfect for what we needed: a nice, cozy, clean place to come back to and sleep after long days of work. Enough space for all four of us. We come back to Greensboro every year for a comedy festival and we'll try to get this place again. We were very happy with it.
