LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Livin’ the Dream in Jamaica Beach with over 400’ of water frontage! This home features 7 bedrooms and 6 full baths, a private swimming pool (not heated or cooled) with a huge palapa/tiki hut, covered decks, an extra spacious hot tub, twin jets docks with a kayak launch, and an outdoor natural gas grill!
Livin' the Dream is a vacation home you won't soon forget. This home is located on the point of the main canal out to Galveston Bay meets the side canals offering sweeping views in five directions. Pull up your boat or jet ski to the dry-docking station or tie off at the docks. Swing the day away on our deck swing.
Livin’ Outside (Ground Level)
Enjoy the hot tub year round! The outdoor area also has a huge Adirondack chair that’s great for taking family photos, a large palapa that provides shade to the pool deck, double covered deck, fire pits at each end of the pool for a night swim, and a swim ladder attached to the dock, if guests would rather take a dip in the canal. The home features 2 single and 1 double kayak, 2 paddle boards, and numerous pool toys/floats.
Additional ground-level features include an extra full-size refrigerator, a 3-section bar back-style beverage refrigerator, and a hotel-style ice machine in the walk-through garage area. The ground level is also equipped with a kitchen including a dishwasher, sink, garbage disposal, stovetop, microwave, cedarwood bars (seats 13), television (with satellite), and natural gas outdoor grilling station with side burner and bar tops! Fishing is great from your own dock. Livin’ the Dream is a fisherman's paradise with boat ties and a fish cleaning station. This is outdoor living at its best!
Livin’ Inside (1st and 2nd floors)
Interior features of Livin’ the Dream include a well-appointed open kitchen with a large island, living, and dining areas all with views of the water. The kitchen area is perfect for food preparation and entertaining simultaneously. The home has two Keurig machines (please bring your own pods) as well as a drip coffee pot. The living area features multiple sofas and ample seats for everyone to enjoy the large flat-screen TV (with satellite), and large dining table (seats 22) in this open-concept home. Walk out onto the balcony for another small dining table (seats 3), or the 2nd exterior dining table on this massive deck (seats 8).
The living room also features an authentic table-top arcade game, with 60 classic games like Pac-Man, Galaga, etc. No quarters are needed.
Sleeping accommodations are abundant at Livin’ the Dream. No sofa sleepers. Only beds.
CAPTAIN’S QUARTERS
The primary bedroom is located on the 2nd floor of the home and features a king bed (sleeps 2) and an en suite bath with jetted tub, primary also has a television (with cable), and access to a balcony.
THE GETAWAY
The 2nd bedroom is a secluded king suite (sleeps 2) on the 2nd floor with a private entrance and private full bath. You absolutely get away from it all in this room.
BLUE CRAB ROOM
The 3rd bedroom is located on the 1st floor (same level as the kitchen and living area). It also has a king bed (sleeps 2), a bath with shower, and a television (with cable).
GULF ROOM
The 4th bedroom is located on the 1st floor (same level as the kitchen area) and has a beautiful king-size bed (sleeps 2).
SURF ROOM
The 5th bedroom is located on the 2nd floor and has a king bed plus a set of twin bunks (sleeps 4). Access to Jack and Jill bathroom.
BLUE BEACH
The 6th bedroom features a king bed (sleeps 2). Located on the 2nd floor. Access to Jack and Jill bathroom. TV with a DVD player only.
KID’S BUNK ROOM
The 7th bedroom is also on the 2nd floor. Please bring your own games and controllers for gaming systems. Two side-by-side TVs, a DVD player, and HDMI cords are provided. No satellite TV.
It is truly a kids’ bunk room with 2 twin bunks and 2 queen beds, sleeping a total of 4 with a full bath.
This Jamaica Beach home will accommodate 18 guests and has parking for approximately 6 cars behind the manually operated driveway gate. All vehicles need to be inside the gate at all times. The actual number of vehicles depends on the size of the vehicles.
Livin' the Dream is a vacation home where you can swim in your own private pool and hot tub while enjoying resort-style living under a palapa/tiki hut all while relaxing in comfortable Adirondack chairs. Jamaica Beach (on the Gulf of Mexico) is less than a 10-minute ride by golf cart (available through Gulf Coast Concierge Service, please ask your vacation planner). Bring your own boats or jet skis and have a place for everyone - inside and outside. The Jamaica Beach boat ramp is nearby. Guests need to request a permit from the town.
This home is not available for any graduation, prom, after-prom, Spring break, weddings, or any other type of large party with guests not listed on the reservation. Friday to Friday rentals during the peak summer season. Due to the nature of island weather, internet service may be interrupted, no refunds for cable or internet interruption. In case of interruption, go old school and talk to each other. Our pool and spa are serviced multiple times a week. While we make every effort to keep them in perfect shape, we cannot guarantee there won’t be a disruption in service outside of our control. We will make every effort to make all thing right ASAP.

Vehicles should be parked in the driveway and may be parked in the grass if additional space is needed, but all vehicles must be parked inside the property gates and not on the street. The actual number of vehicles depends on the size of the vehicles and parking arrangements.
Pool and spa are serviced multiple times a week, and we make every effort to keep them in tip-top shape. However, we cannot guarantee there won’t be a disruption, but we always make every effort to resolve any issues ASAP.
Even if listed as a provided amenity, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network, or channels or cable and internet signal quality, and cable may not be available on all TVs. Oftentimes additional TVs are available for guests wanting to hook up their own game systems or streaming devices.

Stayed for a week. House has potential with the amenities offered if they can fix all the issues. Door locks gave problems. Bedrooms they say have tv’s don’t, pool tv doesn’t work, internet never works or when they finally did come out and look at it it went in and out, in-law suit always has a smell. Maintenance & Ryson say they are fixing the problem or will have some one out but they never show up or follow through with what they said. A lot of stuff at the house is older and showing a lot of wear and use.

The location of the home was excellent and the accommodations were very spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool!
Unfortunately, the listing said pet friendly when we booked it, but then we learned dogs weren’t allowed. We didn’t appreciate the false advertising. Also, we were told to bring a lot of items (beach towels, for example) that were actually supplied. It would’ve been nice to know specifically what we needed.
Overall, it was a beautiful vacation. We enjoyed Livin’ the Dream!!

Fantastic large family vacation home
We had multi-generations who all had a ball and had their own comfortable room. For the kids it was all about the pool and kayaking. The fishing off the dock was fun and the beach was close by to jump in the car to spend a couple hours there. The kitchen and dining area was fantastic for our bunch of “foodies”. But my favorite was the sunset and the lights on the canals which from the upper deck had the most amazing views ever!

This property was amazing. The pool and downstairs area was to die for. Loved having an ice machine! The layout of the house was great. Lots of space for everyone to hang out. The kitchen was fairly well stocked. Could have used some more silverware as well as plastic dishes and cups for the kids. Furniture and beds were very comfortable. Lots of hot water! No complaints from this happy family! We would definitely isot this property again!

The location was phenomenal, but there's a few drawbacks...
You can't beat the location of this property, right on the canal with gorgeous views of the water on every side of the property. There's plenty of space in this property as well--we had MORE than enough room to stretch out with our party of 9. The downsides.... the jacuzzi heat is pretty tricky--since it's a shared system with the pool, but the pool heat is not connected, you have to be careful not to turn on anything but the jacuzzi jets for heat. You can technically heat the pool some with the overfill from the jacuzzi as the water cycles, but it takes a pretty long time to get the heat to a tolerable temp in the pool this way. I strongly recommend to the owners to figure out getting the pool heat going to be comparable with other properties a traveler would be looking at--not just in Galveston, but pretty much everywhere. The finishes on cabinets/appliances/etc are showing some wear, which isn't a huge deterrent, but the appliances weren't in tip top clean shape, either. Signage ALL OVER this property, warning "do not touch, or risk a fee," which was honestly kind of off-putting. Made a property touted as a "luxury" space feel like a Motel 6 in terms of stay experience. All in all, not a bad stay, but I wouldn't book again unless the experience were improved with these touches. It doesn't take much to refinish the cabinet wear in bathrooms, and the pool heat would be WELL worth the investment, as it's typical to charge guests to use pool heat--I'd gauge the owners would recoup their costs fairly quickly. Also, the management company is pretty good to work with--we changed dates several times due to pandemic circumstances, and they were easy to talk to. There was also a rep on site for us to walk us through "how to use" the fireplace/jacuzzi heat/etc. That was definitely a nice touch.

Birthday Beach Trip
Livin the dream was amazing. We had a few families with kids ranging from 17-1 years, there was so much to do at the house for everyone. There were 4 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, bean bag toss, large connect four, fishing supplies, videogame machine, plenty of board games. This home was absolutely beautiful, plenty of places to sit and chill out, we made jokes all weekend that we were "Livin the dream."

Amazing property
This amazing home features everything you could imagine with plenty amenities (pool, hot tub, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle board, arcade game, grilling, etc.) and relaxation from any part of the house. Clean, well kept home and beds were comfy. We had a family reunion to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday. We had a fabulous time and create special memories here. This home was perfect to accommodate all ages.
One big disappointment to mention for future renters. The house accommodates up to 22 people but the property limits up to 4 cars! How do you fit 22 people in 4 cars?!? The property could easily fit 8 inside the gate. A Neighbor complained and called the Ryson. We had to park some of the cars at a nearby park. This is ridiculous considering the high rental price we paid for staying at this property.
Other minor items to note but definitely didn’t spoil our stay: Some of dock underwater lights were not functioning, a couple of the pool underwater lights were also out, WiFi was slow so we used our own data plan, the swings on the dock shown on the pictures no longer there. Would like to have the option to pay extra to turn on the pool heater. Also if you have anyone has trouble taking the stairs, this home doesn’t have any handicap accessibility to access the house.
Overall love this property! It raises the bar, hard for other homes to compete. We would definitely rent this place again. Next time will be during the summer so we can utilize the pool.

Pros:This house is stunning everything you need is under this roof there is no need to go anywhere else. my favorite room was the getaway room. Lots of changes since I last stayed. Add new pictures so the upgrades can be included.
We will definitely consider renting again for the summer and referring friends.
Con: Hi Tech home with simple instructions just does not work: We had technical difficulties with spa and we could not figure out the surround sounds. We brought our own speakers for entertainment.

**** I did not like the fact that the complementary tickets expires daily. For the amount of the rental I would not want to opt a day for 1 complementary ticket per day.
The LAST Thing -please get a lift for the house it would a great benefit.

Amazing! It felt like we were at a resort!
The home was absolutely spectacular! There was plenty of space for our group especially with the new renovations with the new Getaway room. The owner has thought of everything! It was a little chilly during our stay but the hot tub was a big hit with the little kids and the adults. You aren't allowed to use the heat for the pool, but it wasn't warm enough for us to be interested in using it anyway. There are kayaks, a paddle board and fishing poles available. The kids were catching fish as soon as they were casting! I was extra impressed with the industrial size ice maker on the ground floor. It was really handy when stocking up our coolers or making adult beverages! There was a leak from the kitchen faucet. I called Ryson and someone was there within 10 minutes. Everyone at Ryson was very friendly and offered spectacular service. I doubt I will be back to Texas anytime soon, but I sure would love to see this place in the summer!

Great place for our annual family reunion!
Place was awesome! More than enough room for 15 of us! Perfect location for the kids and adults to fish in the backyard. Most everything you need is in this place! Wish they had more kitchen items but cannot complain! Our family enjoyed our vacation at the Livin the Dream! Will definitely come back and/or recommend this place to others. We rented the house for a work offsite and were thrilled with the outdoor living areas, swings, pool, hot tub, grill, bar....the list goes on. The outdoor living and entertaining space is what this house is all about! We had what we needed, service was excellent. We would def. rent this house again. Thank you!

This property is amazing!
The price is worth it considering all the amenities you get. Everything you would need is stocked in the kitchen and there are plenty of towels and extra pillows. There is even a full size laundry room right next to the bedrooms. Everyone enjoyed different activities. The pool and hot tub were amazing. The guys enjoyed their time fishing and crabbing on the canal. My grandson took the Kayak and the Paddleboard out for a little away time. In essence, we all found something to enjoy at the house.
All of the furniture is super comfy! My daughter fell in love with the swivel chairs.
No need for a gym either! With so much to do, I was up and down the stairs pretty often, checking on family and enjoying myself!
I hope it is OK that our family and friends took tons of pictures and spread the word on Facebook on what a wonderful place this is!!

Livin' the Dream is the perfect beach vacation rental. When you think of everything you could possibly want from a rental, your expectations will be exceeded. From the moment we arrived, the experience was wonderful. The house is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The bottom level by the pool is super neat. We sat in the hot tub at night overlooking the water. The swings were a lot of fun to swing on. There is a garage type door that opens up to another entertaining area. There are several decks on the different levels of the house that allow you to have your coffee or wine and enjoy the beautiful views. Our group found the beds to be very comfortable. The kitchen area is set up for large groups and had plenty of seating. The kitchen had everything we needed. My family and I rent vacation rentals a lot and this by far was the best place we have ever stayed. The house is even better than what the pictures portray.

I have been vacationing in Galveston for the past 35 years including stays at multiple beach houses and major hotels/condos. To say this was the best property I've ever stayed in would be an understatement. The "cottage" is spacious and pristine. The wife and I brought our 4 kids and 2 friends. There were enough rooms for each of the pairs of kids to share their own in comfort. Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast on the outdoor deck while taking in the views of the bay as the sun rose. During the day, the kids enjoyed the heated hot tub after canoeing and paddle boarding the bay. Meanwhile, mom and dad enjoyed a lazy day in the hammock :) A quick drive to our favorite restraint, Waterman's topped off a wonderful evening. After dinner, fish swarmed under the lighted pier like fire flies in the night. The boys angled for hours. We will definitely be back! Thanks Jeff and Marina for your amazing hospitality. We loved our stay and "Lived the Dream"

Cannot say enough good things about this rental property. The space was perfect for both indoor and outdoor activities. The house is beautiful, the outdoor space was amazing. The hot tub was a great way to warm up after a day of fishing. The view was just perfect from morning coffee to afternoon drinks out on the deck. Our children enjoyed the game room, the swings, smores, and of course waving at all the boats. We had a wonderful time with family and friends. Plan to be back.
