Great location and wonderful for a walk around the area.

Location, and car parking

No coffee machine! Electrical socket next to bed had front taken off and a price of A4 paper covering it with a bit off tape that hadn’t stuck to wall. This is very dangerous and a serious health and safety issue! Both tumble driers filled up with damp washing and made bedroom smell damp! Outdoor space was extremely slippery and no warning. Again another health and safety issue. We were given the wrong code for key box and emergency number wasn’t answered at first, fortunately we kept trying and managed to get through to get correct number.

Served a purpose but wouldnt return

Location next to the river.

Bedding smelt foisty, poor communication from owner leaving us waiting outside hours for a code for the key, decking needs cleaning (slip hazard), lats on bed broken and attempted to fasten together with cello tape, laminated flooring missing in areas and general maintenance of the property was bad.

A huge disappointment to say the least

The glass conservatory

When arriving the first thing we saw was the trash at the front door sticking out. But when opening the front door a big penetrating smell of wet dog came to meet us. It was so bad we opened on all floors all windows and doors trying to rid of it. Over two hours we tried and still it wasn’t gone. It seem to came of the duvets. Also everything in the house you touched sticks. When opening the dishwasher it smelled terrible and food of previous guests was still there. And after a promise of the owner things would be getting cleared a single toiletrol was changed downstairs and nothing else at all. And to ask your guests to leave the place as you arrived? No way. We hope the guests after us had a better stay after us cleaning and we have tried to make the air in the house more pleasant. So a big NO for us ever again.

Peaceful stay

Lovely decking area, spacious dining area, lovely rooms especially the one on the top floor. Quiet cul-de-sac within easy reach of local restaurants and pubs.

The kitchen was a little crowded with the host's personal belongings and ingredients. This wasn't a problem for a short stay but might be a consideration to others who intend to stay for longer.

we would stay again, house was a good size for us, hopefully better towels, and teaspoons next time.

nice setting by river, near NT property. great having 3 bathrooms.

Towels very poor, only one left out for each of us, very thin, did not dry well. could not set heating to come on, although did ring caretaker, still had trouble, it was very easy when we did work it out nearly 2hours later ! No teaspoons, very strange ! No bedside lamp in front bedroom.

the river was great. overall it was great. you need to say there is a washing machine available as I almost didn’t book it because it didn’t explicitly mention the washing machine.

no bathroom door in the master suite was a bit weird

Beautiful house and garden, very homely, really comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms, great house!

The back garden is stunning along the stream, this is where we spent most of the time, huge outdoor table, the ducks came and greeted us whilst we ate breakfast on the decking one morning too. Really easy and quick response when contacting the host, we were trying to book taxis into Marlow, Charlie's is a very reasonable and reliable firm. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you need and has a huge fridge freezer. Great house, didn't want to leave, the beds were so comfy and there was a bathroom for every bedroom which was great for me and my partner who were travelling with my parents and sister. Highly recommend!

The highlight was definitely the ducks in the stream at the end of the garden.

Lovely little house that was a great base for us to explore the area.

It was smaller than expected but that’s what English houses are like. Also it was not really possible to walk to any shops or a playground but, again, that’s just what the area is like and not really a criticism.

Great property with outside space

The garden and conservatory were excellent to chill out in. Beds were very comfortable. Having so many bathrooms was a large plus.

The toilet in the top bedroom didn't flush.

Great property and worth a visit

The homely feel of the property, how well equipped it all was with cutlery and cooking ware, the ratio of bathrooms to bedrooms was great. There's a lovely little garden backing onto a stream, which would have been nice to enjoy a drink in (the purpose of our visit was work so we didn't make full use of the amenities). The bedrooms were comfortable with good quality bedding. Decent showers and bath, dishwasher and inviting sofa. The blankets in the conservatory were a nice touch, and make the place feel cosy. Also enjoyed the welcome basket and guest book, and how the hosts took us on a tour of the property to make sure we knew were everything was.

The front door, when locked, can't opened without a key. A bit annoying when a resident has nipped out to the shops and locks the front door, and locks everyone in.
