Amazing stay and we will be back.

We had the most amazing 4 night stay. The whole stay far exceeded expectations, from a utterly stunning property (the place in person is better than the photos!). The hospitality second to none, the breakfast - 11/10 and not to mention you basically have your own private beach. We will certainly return on our next adventure to Sri Lanka.

Klein und fein. Ein wunderschönes Boutique Hotel direkt am Strand

Wunderschön direkt an einer ruhigen Bucht vor Dickwella. Ein paar Meter und man ist im Wasser. Besser geht es nicht. Super schön ist auch der offene Frühstücksraum im ersten Stock an dem man Morgens ein leckeres Frühstück serviert bekommt mit einer angenehmen Brise und tollem Blick auf Strand und Meer. Es gibt nur 3 Zimmer und alles ist sehr persönlich. Ganz nette Gastgeber die uns gute Tips gegeben haben, super entspannt. Thank you again Jeremy and Julie.

A real perspective of paradise

Absolutely amazing location onto the most beautiful beach. The property is built to exceptional standards The staff are second to none and the breakfast was fantastic We travel the world visiting over 60 countries and we rate this trip in our top 3 ever!

Calm, relaxing and welcoming place

Parasol Dore is a perfect getaway with the nicest atmosphere and the best view from the bedroom that you can imagine. Extraordinary good service from Jeremy (owner) with many local recommendations and interesting stories to tell.

Absolutly amazing!

The villa was so beautiful! The pool was next to the beach. The rooms were super clean. Jermy and house staff did everything to make this place like home. Moet wonderfull stay of our trip in Sri Lanka. Very recommended!!

Ultimate relaxation & family friendly.

We are a family of 4 and rented an ocean view & interconnected garden room for 3 nights. It was immaculate just like the photos. The beautiful ladies on staff happily helped us cut up our fruits for afternoon tea and served delicious breakfast with a smile each day. Owner Jeremy was on hand for anything we needed. Organised pizza delivery and transport on request. It was quiet season and Dickwella is definitely a quiet beach, we found just a few eateries nearby but Hikka is only a 10min tuk tuk away for more options. If you’re after a relaxing break as we were mid-holiday this is the spot! Be aware- you will share the breakfast eating area and the small pool with other guests but we did not find this a problem as we each gave each other space and time alone in the pool, no one who stays here is in a hurry. :)

A wonderful small hotel

This is a very beautiful house set right on the beach in a stunning quiet bay. The house is beautifully decorated with great taste. We had one of the best breakfasts of our holiday. The hosts and staff were delightful & very friendly. In the evening we had a fabulous dinner at Smoke & Bitters which was a short tuk tuk ride away.

Ocean paradise

It was love from the first sight when I saw this place on booking.com:) And it was exactly same in reality: new, fancy, cozy and just on the ocean! Ocean view and sleeping with ocean sounds is just amazing. Breakfast was good (big fruit plate, pancakes/omelet, toasts). Hosts are very friendly, lent us snorkelling equipment and there are bodysurf for free as well. Turtles watching and feeding is available on the beach nearby. Good restaurant is just around the corner: seafood dishes were perfect! (&wine is available). p.s.Julie creates her own collection of line clothes you can buy (the best souvenir ever!)

A place you never want to leave again

We are still dreaming of going back to Parasol Doré. It was the best accommodation on our trip, the mood and vibe of this place is just magical. The hosts and staff felt like friends and family and we were even so lucky to see turtles at night on the beach as they lay down their eggs. The staff even helped us to have a little fire in the night at the beach. And well, look at the pictures the design of the hotel is wonderful. Nearby you can swim with turtles (Parasol Doré offers snorkelling masks for free) and the area was really one of our favorite in the south, because you can have it both: the real Sri Lankan life and the western touch in the Hiri Bay. If you are not into surfing (like us), Parasol Doré has boards for body surfing, which is so much fun! The breakfast is so delicious (and a lot) and the massages are well done. I can't recommend it enough.

Best place to stay!

Definitely the best place in Sri Lanka! the room was well decorated and the bed very large and comfy. As for the location, is on a quiet beach and you can hear and smell the ocean while relaxing. The family who owns the place is amazing and so is the staff who made us an extraordinarily big and tasty breakfast. I wish you could spend more days there!

Picturesque and remote getaway boutique

We liked that place was easy to reach, not very remote but feels very remote - by the small beach with no people around. It was easy to reach some restaurants by foot, so you won't be isolated. Ocean was very laud throughout the night - something to consider if you are a poor sleeper. Facilities are awesome, and pool is best way to cool down after a day of travel or spent at beach. Breakfast was one of the best we had in SriLanka - sweet rottis, srilankan omlette, fruit platter and wonderful coffee. Not to mention the view from breakfast hall. Wifi was poor, so don't come working here, but perfect for that social break and resting!

Exceptional

This is one of the top places I ever stayed during my travels. I totally recommend it if you want to have a chilled time and charge your batteries for some days. It is a very quiet boutique hotel run by a french couple with two rooms that directly face the beach. The hotel just opened recently so everything is very new and has an incredible degree on interior design details. The owners are lovely, very caring and the breakfast is absolutely delicious, everything homemade with large portions to push your energy level for many hours.

It does not have too many restaurants around and if you are looking to meet a lot of other people here this might not be the right place. Not something I did not like but you might want to be aware of when booking
