Warm and cozy
No toiletries, shampoo, body soap and no bath mat.

Location & roof terrace
Could have been cleaner - dust in bedrooms & sticky surfaces

It was very clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities available. It was spacious too for our family. The WiFi was good and kitchen superb. The staff was very responsive.
I think bathrooms should have locks.

Cosy bedrooms, good sized property. Location was ideal.
Trying to find parking.
Kitchen toilet leaked, wasn’t fixed to floor.
Decking on 2nd floor garden loose, felt unstable.
Aga was a faff to deal with, I’d suggest a replace.
One of the fires weren’t working and only kindling was left to burn - no logs.

Quaint, outside porch, three bedrooms, location
Moldy Smell, but we understand why it smelled. No plug in in the bsthroom

The convenience of food shops was just great, and quite important for travellers. We arrived during a heat wave so the cool stone floors were totally refreshing; the rooms were charming. Parking wasn't on site, but was easy right around the corner and free. Restaurants were all around, but stopped serving at 8.30. I like the open racks for hanging clothes rather than rooting around in some dark closet. The rail station made no noise at all, but was literally right across the road behind the Co-op.
The kitchen was so large, easy to clean, and had TWO types of cookers! I wanted to take it home!
There were notes to be careful not to clog the toilets, but the old style toilets here were better than our modern ones at home in Surrey: they flushed with a good rush of water.
Our dog voted 'yes'. He flopped right down on the floors downstairs and didn't even want to go upstairs to explore: he was content and slept quietly each night.
The dining table was a good size, which was helpful when friends stopped by to pick us up for an outing: we could serve them cold drinks and we could all sit around chatting before leaving. We didn't use the little BBQ area, but it was nice to have the option, and the deck for evening drinks had nice views outside.
The bedrooms were quite hot at night due to a heat wave, but not unexpected. The bathrooms didn't have locks, but we were all family.
The cottage was old, so not sparkling in the contemporary sense, but frankly, I find sterile new houses a little uncomfortable and an old cottage more homey, especially with a pet. The street outside was quite busy in the mornings, so we had to be a little careful walking the dog off to the shops.
The deck upstairs could use a few repairs to old wood here and there.

The home was super cozy and we loved the Christmas tree touch as well as all the board games for those cold days. The Aga in the kitchen was incredible and did an awesome job at warming the home as well as cooking all our food.
The shower was absolutely horrible. Especially for a home that has so many beds, the only option is to take a bath which I find awkward when sharing the home with friends as well as a waste of water. If you put the shower on high it went from scolding hot to freezing cold so you had to put it on Eco and the water pressure was piffling with and without the air boost. Just for this mere fact, I would not recommend this home. It was really disappointing considering there is only 1 bathroom in the home.

Nice property in a good location, with the necessary requirements for a comfortable stay.
parking is not idea or guaranteed, but can’t be helped based upon its location
