Over 200 All 5 star reviews on another rental platform. The home is one of the original homes on this historic Road. Since being built in 1944 the home has only been owned by 3 families. The second of which owned it for over 60 years. One of only a few homes on the road to survive the flood of 55'. My Husband and I bought the home to make sure it would always be here. We restored it keeping as much of the original charm as possible. From the original 1944 Steel Cabinets we had restored to the original Yellow Pine Floors we had refinished. We used or repurposed as much of the original items found on the property as possible. We kept a lot of the original furniture . The Sandbox the owners son used is now the garden. The garden's flagstone patio is made from the original 1940's flagstone stoop. The restoration was a labor of love for us and you can see the results of that love in the finished product. Wake up to the sound of the flowing stream and the smell of crisp clean air through the 18 exterior and 2 interior windows all designed to bring in as much natural light as possible.

We loved the cabin! It’s been renovated with the intent to preserve the history of the home and property with lots of pictures to show its progression over 60 years. The owners are friendly, informative and accommodating. The property has all that you need for a stay in my favorite area of the Poconos.

Beautiful quirky old restored cottage in natural area outside Mt. Pocono PA. Close to city and sites of interest but just outside of state game lands so being in the middle of nowhere. Very nice and quiet. Stream on property and lots of animals around.

There is nothing I can really say that can adequately describe this beautiful property other than to to say...This is what the Pocono Mountains is all about...why people come to the Poconos. This beautiful property is a must stay. Great Hosts (Ryan & Sue). Beautiful, super clean, well stocked , comfortable bed, just a superior rental. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer. Quiet, peaceful, yet close to activities to suite everyone, this beauty is waiting for you! Thanks to our hosts for making a combo birthday and 47th wedding anniversary a good time. Recharge the battery, feed the deer right outside your door, visit the stream less than 10 minutes away....or just relax and veg out. You can't lose here! WE will return to this cabin for sure in the near future! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your super cabin!

The house is newly remodeled but still has the original old charm and extremely clean. Amazing views and wildlife! Our host's were very accommodating and even gave my husband and I gifts for our anniversary.

So clean. So kind. So helpful. I felt so safe in this cabin. I’m just so happy I found this place. Cleanliness is so important to me and the host’s cabin rules were amazing. I’m just so happy we went to this cabin!

Ryan and Sue wanted to know when we were going to arrive so they could meet us at check in. The cabin was immaculate, which we appreciated, and felt a little intimidated that we would not be able to keep it neat when we left because they were particular about how things should be taken care. We tried to be respectful as possible and hope we met their expectations. It was a quiet location with great hiking trails and a grocery store down the road so you can rest assured that you can cook easily with everything the owners have left for use in the house. They had a great Bluetooth speaker and tv to watch so we felt right at home.

Our favorite cabin and hosts so far! We loved this place so much, we wished we could just stay permanently! First thing you notice is how immaculately clean the house is. Then we walked back through and saw so many deer out back feeding. I've never seen so many so up close like that before! The bed is incredibly comfortable, I slept so well for three nights straight. I woke up with very little to no pain. That was amazing! It has a cool record player. I loved playing the classic rock albums, brought back good memories. There's a nice bench out front to sit and watch nature or two chairs in the back to sit outside, but there's a wonderful back room with plenty of windows that feels like an enclosed porch. I enjoyed sitting there with my coffee. The kitchen is really cool, it's like a 1950s kitchen but brand new. I love the press metal look. They have everything you need to cook and eat with. We also enjoyed relaxing in the living room, watching movies. There's so much history with the cabin. They have books on it. It's an amazing story! The hosts are very communicative and if you need anything it's not a bother. This trip was to celebrate my husband's birthday and our anniversary in the month of October. My husband did the Camelback zipline and loved it. We both walked up to the 100 mi lookout and it was so worth it, the view is breathtaking! We did a little Christmas shopping at the gift shops and stopped at the cheesecake factory. We shopped in Stroudsburg and Jim Thorpe.

Ryan & Susan were amazing hosts that gave us many great adventure suggestions. The cottage is clean & very comfortable. It was cool at night, so we opened the bedroom windows & fell asleep to the babbling brook in the woods below us. We enjoyed many hikes close by as well as great restaurants. Really enjoyed The Frogtown Chophouse! Kalahari & Bushkill Falls' hikes are a must!!! Grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our anniversary @ your cottage in the Poconos!

The cozy cottage near Devils Hole Creek was exactly what I needed for a get away. The property is incredible, an updated interior, furniture, appliances and plenty of light with modern windows. It has the charm of an old cabin and retro feel without feeling outdated. My fiancée and I look forward for a return stay.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights 4 days up at this cool house. It has great history and is redone super cool. It has a great fresh feel with an old fashioned look. We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday and they owners who were great to deal with left her a card, a gift, and cupcakes for her birthday. We hiked and ate at good restaurants. Very fun and relaxing place to spend time away!

This cottage was adorable. Super-clean and comfortable. The location was quiet and private, yet still close to grocery stores/restaurants, etc. The home is nicely decorated and furnished, and had everything we needed. Owners are very pleasant. We thoroughtly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay again.

We had a good experience! Very clean amd safe. The creek was glorious. I do wish there had been a curtain on the window that was exposed to the neighbor. They could see in from their deck. The only way to go from the bathroom to the bedroom was to walk thru the kitchen and by that exposed window. That made it less relaxing for us. There is no deck. Only a front stoop. We like to drink coffee in private on our deck at home, and so that made us homesick.. the stoop faces the street and the back patio down below has a camera on it. So there was not much privacy for that. The check in process was okay but we would prefer that we didn't have to meet up with the owner prior to entering, as we were traveling from a distance and felt obligated to keep the owner up to date on our ETA. Would prefer to just check in privately.

We stayed at the cabin when the fall foliage was in peak season. The view from the cabin was beautiful! The cabin was very comfortable with everything we needed including kitchen supplies. In the morning you can watch the does and their babies hang-out in the yard. We highly recommend the cabin!

Devil's Hole Cabin was a great find for a romantic weekend getaway! The place is spotless with lots of added little touches in the decor which made a perfect little spot to enjoy each other. The historic preservation made a cozy atmosphere to relax in. The sunroof was a pleasant afternoon spot to read, and the fireplace added the perfect touch for snuggling. Everything you need to cook a romantic meal together was right there. The adjoining gamelands were great for hiking. Ryan and Susan were great hosts. They are only minutes away and ready to answer any questions promptly. We are looking forward to returning in the summer to enjoy the creek and explore more of the historic ruins in the area. It was sad to leave such a wonderful place.

The owners leave nothing out when they describe this quaint house, nestled in the Pocono mountain. You can absolutely tell the pride and love they have for their property. It's beautiful and super clean. One of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. I loved that one of the owners met us upon our arrival so that we knew what they expected as owners and we could ask any amount of questions we wanted. They were even available to us at any time of we needed them. (I didn't bother them at all but it was nice to know they didn't mind ) We would absolutely stay again and again and again. If there was a way to rate more than 5 stars I would absoluteky rate them higher. If you're looking for a place for you and your significant other to relax and recharge in the Poconos, this is the place to stay. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

Devil's Hole Cabin was the perfect spot for us to enjoy several of the activities in the surrounding area. It was also a great place to kick back and do nothing. The cabin was immaculate, and the hosts were just a text message away. Devil's Hole Cabin gets our highest recommendation.

The most perfect cabin for our weekend away!! We cannot say enough good things about the cabin hosted by Ryan and Sue. The house feels rustic and modern at the same time, and we loved how they incorporated elements from the original cabin to to make the decor and furniture truly one of a kind. A lot of love and care went into making it a perfect getaway is clear The hikes nearby the cabin are an absolute must! Thanks again for the stay!!

We were greeted by one of the owners of the cabin, who live near by, and they were extremely thoughtful about our space as well as giving some details on what we needed to know before settling in. The cabin is far enough from main roads to feel secluded, and you can reach a couple trails and the creek at the preserve without even getting in the car. The cabin included enough amenities and games to make staying in peaceful and enjoyable (even the mini corn hole was fun!), and we got a food recommendation for a nearby place that was amazing. Although the stay was brief, Devil's Hole was a great weekend getaway, and we'd definitely recommend it to others looking for a relaxing retreat or as a comfortable home base in the Poconos.

Hidden gem
Ryan and Sue's lovingly restored, incredibly clean cottage redefines quaint. We very much appreciated the greeting at check-in and learning some of the cool, historical aspects of the property. We liked that it was only about 7 minutes from a grocery, but felt like you were WAY in the woods. The deer that showed up several times per day were not at all frightened by humans and just sipping coffee (provided by our hosts) while watching them no more than 20 feet away was an awesome way to start the day. Finally, the creek below the cottage was gorgeous and provided soothing background audio - not to mention a few brown trout that we caught fly fishing. In all, a pure delight!

Charming little cabin
Devils Hole Cabin is a charming little cabin in a peaceful mountain setting! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place and the owners! The cabin is meticulous and you can tell that the owners take great pride in this home. It is probably THE CLEANEST place I have ever stayed in. Everything that you would need is provided. The location is close to stores, restaurants, etc. but still feels 'secluded'. The owners greet you at check in, and it is nice to learn about the history of the house from them. I will definitely stay here again when in the Poconos!
