The Cabana is a private cottage with more amenities than a 5 star hotel! Enjoy your own private swimming pool and spa and a custom pool table just to name a few. A one bedroom, one bath private guesthouse with a fully stocked kitchen decorated in chic brown and blue. Inside the entertainment begins with a custom made pool table, large screen TV, DVD/VCR player, movies and games. Wireless internet. A wall of French doors leads to your own private oasis. A relaxing hot tub waterfalls into a cool sparkling swimming pool. Outdoor charcoal grill and patio dining is perfect for your outdoor enjoyment. You can enjoy birds, squirrels, and an abundance of deer that meander onto the 3 acres. Leave the hustle and bustle behind and escape to the Cabana Guesthouse where you can lose yourself in the serenity of the surroundings with 100 year old oak trees. Need to bring your pet?: The Cabana guesthouse is a pet friendly property! Weight limit is 30 pounds. Over 30 pounds is an additional charge with owner approval. The Cabana is centrally located which is great for day trips. Only about 45 minutes to San Marcos for Outlet shopping or New Braunfels for a waterpark. One hour from Austin, San Antonio or Victoria and 2 hours from Houston. Great location for day trips if you are traveling from out of state or out of the country and want to explore!

Simple and perfect. We really enjoyed ourselves. The deer was such a treat to watch. They were so happy and playful...and so many. This is now our get-a-way....we'll be back.

Our stay at the Cabana was wonderful! Our kids, ages 12 and 16, really enjoyed the swimming pool. The cabana was clean and welcoming. Nicely located, we saw deer in the back field the day we arrived. 😊 Pool table was so much fun! We had a great time! 😁

I asked my son what he wanted for his birthday and he choose this place that we know well, they always welcome us, and the pups , this weekend was my son’s birthday and Natalie like always was on point to welcome him the best way, this year we only took one of the pups since the other one passed away in June, we have great memories there the four of us, since we see vacations with our pups and some places they don’t accept them, we will keep us in great times at this place because we love it there.

We haven't been able to take a family vacation for about almost two years with our busy work schedules, with that said we decided to finally pull away from our busy life and needed time to recharge before school started for our son. We had the BEST time just the three of us at this beautiful property! When we walked in the owners had this wonderful gift basket so very thoughtful along with fully stocked coffee which we all loved to drink on the porch in the morning and evening time. At night was my favorite for there were thousands of fire-flies everywhere that light up the night. It was the most relaxing and enjoyable time. There is a HEB and Walmart that is down the road from the home and cute little older town with shops to go to. Also about a 30 min. drive to san marcus outlet. which we did venture out to one morning. I would have to say one of my favorite places we stayed at in a very long time which was much needed for our little family. It was very private, and the owners never bothered us and allowed our privacy which was exactly what we wanted! We will def. come back! Wonderful place and wonderful people! Thank you!

Absolutely lovely! The cabana is so charming and provides you with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The attention to detail and thoughtful amenities are the perfect touch. The hosts are friendly and very accommodating. You can tell they take pride and great care of their property and it shows! While the cabana is comfortable and welcoming, the pool and landscaping are perfection. We enjoyed a quiet and tranquil weekend and we can’t wait to come back again!

The house was so inviting and relaxing. Loved the pool and the pool table. Kitchen had everything we needed. Will definitely come back as it seemed like we were on a tropical island within Texas! The plants and decor were great.

My husband and I stayed at the cabana pool house for our anniversary. It was absolutely perfect! We were greeted with flowers and a goody basket upon arrival. The house and pool/hot tub were clean and private. Thank you for an amazing get-a-way!

Just what I needed to help take a mental break from the office. Enjoyed the pool and the cabana is very spacious. Could use a couple upgrades such as faucet in kitchen replaced and a few items for the pool especially noodles and maybe a couple float loungers. The hosts were very gracious and it was nice meeting them. Will definitely be back.

The property was lovely, super quite and relaxing. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle. Pool was super nice aside from the Bees that took up residency between the pool and jacuzzi, and all the other flying wasp, yellow jackets and hornets trying to get a drink! Could have been a little more private, lady watering plants several times a day! Every time we went out to use the pool she came out too. Thank you for the use of your property.

This was our second stay at the Cabana House! We love it here! The house has everything we need to have a relaxing get-a-way. Love the acreage and seeing the wildlife! Absolutely love the private pool and stepping right out of the cabana to the pool! We will be back!

This was a trip for our birthday and we wanted to see historic Gonzales. It is an extremely intimate and private place to stay. The property owners were extremely fast to respond by simply messaging in the app. Everything was clean and so homey! Just filled the fridge with food and drinks, starting playing pool and heated the hot tub and enjoyed the stars while relaxing. Also, you should be aware of something extremely rare and cool…grackles nest in the bamboo grove away from you and the guest house but the sound and sight of these grackles (not bothering anybody) is amazing! They come at dusk and go out at dawn. A bird lover like me has never seen anything like this. The pictures do not lie, in fact it’s better than the pictures. Thank you for having us. We hope to return to lovely historic Gonzales again.

The host was very responsive and there no interruptions of privacy. It is a beautiful property with wide open spaces to enjoy the complimentary wine and beer with plenty of charm. I visited in the winter and did not use the pool or hot tub but would have been nice to do so without the $300 bill to heat it, though the price is understandable with todays energy costs. Loved the basket of toiletries, which came in handy for the forgotten items.

My wife and I came to Gonzalez, TX, for the annual historic homes tour. We were fortunate to book this property. It's a beautiful property, well equipped, spacious, and immaculate. The pool table is a big plus! Communication with the owner is great -- very responsive and hospitable. Overall, a terrific experience.

The owners took a lot of time to make the Cabana a comfortable place to stay. Everything from the quality of the bedding to the lovely welcome basket and fresh picked lilies made this vacation spot enjoyable. My dog had a blast running around . This beautiful location in the small, historic town of Gonzales, Texas is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The grounds are absolutely beautiful day and night. The pool area is relaxing and perfectly maintained. Deer quietly roamed the grounds every day of my stay...even two adorable little fawns! The pool house has everything you need for a comfortable stay...with many extras such as snacks and toiletries thoughtfully provided by the owners. I will definitely be back!

I can’t say enough great things about our stay here. The cabana is beautiful and fully stocked with everything you could need, it was spotlessly clean, the lovely pool is just steps from the door, it is fenced so our dog was always in a safe place, and the surroundings are simply beautiful. You can see how much love and care the owners put into making the entire property a serene and beautiful place. We met them a few times coming and going and they were absolutely kind and welcoming. We wanted a place for our family to be together and have fun but also have peace and quiet, and we got everything we wanted and more. There are not enough stars to give on this review—five is just too few to properly cover how happy we are with our stay!

This is our second stay at this property. Both times we have enjoyed our stay. Gonzales is a small town but rich in Texas history. A person would benefit from reading some Texas History before their stay to fully appreciate the area. Hosts were excellent and available when needed. We will return soon.

This stay was a delight. The cabana was private, extremely clean and had numerous extras provided by the hosts, including snacks, sunscreen, grooming products in case you forgot anything, and even some drinks and coffee creamer. There were plenty of towels (thick and luxurious!), the bed was very comfortable, and there were extra pillows and bed linen if needed. The kitchen has everything you need to cook at home and then some. The area is very quiet, so even though there are neighbors on both sides, it seems like you have the place to yourself. Some nice eateries nearby as well. Everything provided by the host is top notch and plentiful. This was like a stay at a four-star hotel with my own private pool (which was clean and large with pool toys provided). I really enjoyed my visit and would stay here again.
