I was very pleased. The property was very clean. (A concern because of past reviews). Linens seemed fairly new. Soap and paper supplies were provided to begin, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and dishes. We missed a gas grill, but after contacting Vacasa one was delivered.
It was attractively decorated, and proved perfect for our needs.

We arrived excited for a great week in Rodanthe. Unfortunately this house did not live up to our expectations.
Overall the house was fairly well equipped and we enjoyed the beach equipment rental. The location is excellent and it is nice having unlimited access (for 8 people only) to the Rodanthe Fishing Pier.
Unfortunately the listing incorrectly stated that there was an electric car charger at the house. I called the management company the week before our arrival to confirm that the car charger was at the house and not a community charger, and I was told that since it was included in the listing that meant it was there. We arrived and were not able to find any charger at the house.
Maintenance: Upon our arrival there were two signs on doors leading to decks on the 2nd and 3rd floor saying "No Exit". I tried calling the day we arrived to find out what the issue was and if we would be able to access these decks, but was on a long hold to speak with someone and decided to call the next day. I did reach an agent the next day and I spent 30 minutes on hold with her while she looked into the issue. She was able to tell me eventually that the issue had been resolved but they forgot to take the signs down. When we did go out onto the decks there were multiple rusty nails on the decks (not nailed into anything) and the north facing 3rd floor deck has a loose railing, it's as if it's unattached on one side.
The handle to the freezer door in the kitchen is also not attached and frequently fell off when we would try to open the freezer.
The elevator broke during our stay. We were told upon checkout that it was an easy repair but we would not be compensated for it not working during our stay because we did not call to have it fixed. I figured at that point I did not want to lose another 30+ minutes of my vacation sitting on the phone with management. The main kitchen/living area gets very warm in the afternoon and evening, the air conditioning is not able to keep up with maintaining 72 degrees in the house and there are instructions not to lower the thermostat below 72 degrees as it will cause the AC unit to freeze up. We were lucky that the weather was nice and the highs were only in the low 80s. When we were all gathered in the living area for dinners we opened the windows for a nice cross breeze, but more than half of the windows on the top floor have large holes in the screens or are missing screens so every evening we would have to fight the flies and other bugs that would join us.
Cleanliness: There was black dog hair all over the floor in the bedroom I stayed in as well as a prescription medication pill under the bed dust ruffle, I don't believe the room was vacuumed between renters. There were stains on pillows and bed linens throughout the house. The cleaning staff clearly did not check around the rooms/beds and we found food/hygiene items in the railing of a bunk bed. There was also brown standing water under the kitchen sink.
Our rental started on Saturday, the linens from the previous renter's stay were piled in bins on the main porch for two days after our rental period started.
Many of these issues are easily fixed, I hope the management company is able to resolve them for future visitors.

The home is large with plenty of room for multiple families. The elevator was a nice touch to help with luggage & groceries to the 3rd floor. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the home when we arrived. Several Bedsheets had NOT been washed, and were very obviously dirty. One bed had the “Vacasa clean sheet” sticker crinkled up down at the bottom of the sheet and you could see an outline where someone had laid. Bedside tables had sand on them, and most showers have mold growing. This home needs definitely needs a good deep clean. Dirty bedsheets are absolutely not acceptable. We spent the first day washing and changing bedding. Hopefully it was a one time cleaning fluke, but if it was my home I would be very disappointed to know it was not being cleaned properly.

The house and the room was amazing and a private pool and hot tub. 8 bedrooms 8 baths 2 kitchens pool room laundry room and sooo many decks. Just disappointed with what we got for about 7000 for a week. Never had these issues before the merge so I was disappointed. They gave my cleaning fee back which meant I had to clean someone else's job and only get their fees. I should not have to clean a house where you pay a cleaning fee and after we left there were so many things I wanted to say. A broken shower for over 4 days had to buy a shower curtain for a nasty one, my husband had to fix the dishwasher and also there are 4 coffee pots and one worked great others didn't do anything. I asked for bulbs for rooms missing and never got that. Great guy who helped us with maintenance. I feel I deserve more money since those items aren't aren't what I would ever to think about it because we go booked so many I deserve having no shower for one room for days and days then none listening to the firstll

The pool was the best. Beach access was fine and as always you can’t beat the beach (not crowded and surf was great)
