About this house rental
Built in 1875, this newly renovated two bedroom home, is centrally located in downtown North East. Modern finishes and an open concept living space compliment the original wood floors, clawfoot tub and exposed brick walls. All the amenities of Main Street are steps away, yet the home is tucked away on a quiet street with a creek in the back yard. One block from North East Park, Anchor Marina and the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay.
Every aspect of this home has been remodeled while preserving the original details of a bygone era. The living room is flanked by seven foot windows and includes an Article queen sleeper sofa. The open concept flows into the well-equipped kitchen and sunroom with exposed brick walls. The first floor includes a full bathroom with a clawfoot tub as well as a dining space, laundry and an additional half bath.
In the upper level you'll find the master bedroom with a king sized 12" memory foam mattress and a second guest bedroom which also includes a queen sized 12" memory foam mattress. Both bedrooms share a second full bathroom upstairs.
Off the rear of the home, you have a deck and BBQ grill that overlooks the yard and creek. The creek is a tidal tributary of the North East river and you'll often find ducks and geese in the yard.
Please note! The stairs in our home are steep and the stair treads are more narrow than modern homes. This is quite common for the time period, but we do want guests to be aware if you have difficulty with steps.

Have you ever left a VRBO and felt sad you were leaving the home? I bet not.
This is my 3rd time staying at my "Home away from home" and won't be my last.
Clean, quiet, great air, wonderful hood, great small town with everything you need.
Locals are friendly and Maryland over all is so beautiful! But its the home we loved coming home to. No matter the season and weather, we are welcomed with this great vibe, wonderful home. Thank you Tony for creating a place that is safe, clean and so inviting!

We absolutely loved this house! They had a multitude of extras from TP, trash bags, laundry detergent, even butter and chips etc.. beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Owners were always prompt in responses to our questions. We definitely would stay here again in the future!!!

We stayed here for UD graduation. Although it was a bit of a drive, it was a perfect space for all our down time. The town is adorable. And we loved the antique store the most. My daughter is a runner; she found wonderful trails in the park close by. We enjoyed a short walk to the water and some live music at an outdoor restaurant/bar.

Very convenient. As advertised. Nicely stocked with supplies, dishwasher, clean rooms, warm and comfortable. We used the oven to make bacon for breakfasts. I would suggest a stainless frying pan. Mist people dont use teflon coating or alternative coating. I had to make eggs in the pot. Everything was nice.

The house was exactly as described and extremely comfortable. As a first timer, I was unsure as to what to expect, but we thoroughly enjoyed the stay! The neighborhood was not as appealing as the Main Street was very active upon arrival. That’s not our speed, but certainly not a knock on the hosts or the property.

I love staying at this wonderful home. It is my second time and it is clean, updated and has everything you might need.
I love you can easily walk into town for a coffee or a meal. And the town is super friendly.
Host is fabulous and makes the stay perfect! I look forward to my next stay. Karen from Los Angeles

We loved the historic charm of the house, combined with modern conveniences. It was clean, and welcoming, with special touches like snacks, coffee & teas, and some games to enjoy (which we did)! Communication was impeccable - had a few questions, and the messages were answered right away.
Thanks so much for creating a lovely home away from home!

We enjoyed our stay at this restored historic house and found it fit our needs perfectly
It was very well stocked and very clean
The only downgrade of 3 stars was for the neighborhood…..many of the homes have been renovated but several have not including the one right next door….we chose to walk to some of the restaurants ..and the walk to the nauti goose in particular was….”interesting” to say the least. But at no time did we feel unsafe
so we gave it a 5 star overall rating
North East is a charming seaside town and we enjoyed our stay immensely !!

Great house. Although the stairs are a bit treacherous and upstairs bathroom very small.

The home is immaculate, well-supplied with necessaries for bath and kitchen (which is not always the case with rentals). Perfect location--close to downtown restaurants and shops, very close to the park and the bay. The owners are extraordinarily kind and responsive. An ideal holiday stay.

The house is adorable. North East is a great town and convenient to various places in Maryland and Delaware. Kitchen is well equipped. 3 bathrooms are a huge plus! Beds were amazing. Stairs are rather steep but that is the norm for that time period in architecture. You get used to them. They also have a pair of very friendly ducks that wander the neighborhood. Will definitely stay next time we visit.

Karen and RJ take on Maryland!
Wonderful, responsive home owners!
This is a wonderful "quiet" neighborhood which is in walking distance to a small, friendly, quaint town. Great for family's, or taking a breather for a vacation. Town closes up early during the week, and comes alive on the weekends. People are so friendly here, it was a breath of fresh air! House is clean, modern and has everything you might need. The only con's are if it is in the 90's the upstairs is WARM, but fans are provided. Downstairs is wonderfully cool. There is a sleeper bed downstairs. Only one night was it just too warm upstairs. Secondly, if you have problems climbing stairs, this might not be the house for you. Steps are short and somewhat steep. We had no problem with it at all but when my sister visited who is in her 70's and has bad knees, she wouldn't attempt. But that is it! It is a 10+ for relaxing and seeing the sights. This is not the hood for loud parties or large groups. The neighborhood is wonderfully quiet and chill. Thank you to our hosts who were AWESOME! And since I plan to visit family here again sooner than later, I would love to stay here again! Karen and RJ
