This house is simply amazing. The location may be out of the way for some but that’s what makes it special. It’s off the beaten path, especially with the drive up & down! I cannot say enough about the views, from every window. The house itself was spectacular. I have never stayed in one with a more well stocked kitchen in the way of appliances, pans, and knives that actually had an edge to them! With comfy beds, a roomy walk-in shower, and plenty of seating on the lanai, this is truly a home to enjoy. And don’t worry about the coin operated washer/dryer, you coins are provided!

Great house and amazing location! Love the location as it is by the ocean, super relaxing and quiet…. House has everything you need and well cared for.
Looking forward to the future upgrades!!!!

Visiting with family nearby but was quite disappointed to find there was no spa. This was one of the main reasons I chose this house as I knew my grandaughter would love it & I needed it to help with a recent injury as well…then, told…”there is no spa”.
The house itself is quite lovely & very well equipped with nearly anything you may want. Washer & dryer each take $4 in quarters, but hot has 1st run already loaded & you’ll need quarters after that one.
Quality stay but the missing spa was a definite bummer for us & owner replied “that’s a mistake” nice

Very well equipped house. Given the house is a bit out of the way from restaurants, we were so happy that the house was well outfitted for cooking. The beach towels and equipment were great to borrow as well!
Make sure you rent a vehicle that can handle inclines - a 4x4 would be best!
We would love to stay at this property again!

We were very impressed with how well equipped this house was!! The open Lanai facing the ocean with several seating options was where we enjoyed spending our time.

We greatly enjoyed our three week stay in Aloha Awaits at the Southern Belle of Miloli'i. From the extremely well equipped kitchen to the thrilling views from the porch of daily whale sightings, it was a blissfully, relaxing and beautiful place.
Our host was helpful and responded quickly to any concerns or questions. We would love to return!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Southern Belle of Miloll’i. If you want away from the busyness of Kona to sit back relax and take in the beauty of the Big Island this is the place for you. The home is Fully stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen and sitting on the lanai watching Whales pass almost everyday, some staying for hours with their babies. Location is peaceful about 1hr south of Kona. There is a grocery in Captain Cook on the way or a small one in OceanView about 25 min south. Easy drive to Punalu’u bakery, South Point, Punalu’u “Black Sand” beach (Sea Turtles), Volcano 1.5 hr and Hilo 2hr. The Host Orchid was wonderful with communication, can give lots of tips and checked in during the stay. We have stayed in Miloll’i 3 times and definitely will be back to this home, it was perfect for 2 couples.

We absolutely loved our stay in this property. We wanted some place off the beaten path and we found exactly what we needed! This house is the best stocked places we have ever stayed in through many trips. Everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen and lounging on the deck. The view, birds, and geckos kept us thoroughly entertained for hours. Very relaxing stay and the perfect layout.

YES! Such an amazing house with lovely views! Great views of the ocean and at night you can count the stars, saw several shooting stars and one satellite! Every day I made sure to go snorkeling which is a 5 minute walk away.... Then I would shower, change clothes and go on adventures around the island and then come back go snorkeling again and eat dinner on the balcony watching the sunset......
On one day I had to work remote and when I turned the camera on everybody in the meeting were amazed by the views....
Can't say enough good things about the house

The house is very nice. The lanai was our favorite spot to relax. Beautiful view of the ocean and there was always a nice breeze. All of the furniture is very comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms are fully stocked. Check in and check out was very easy. I would definitely recommend the house and would stay again.

This house is amazing. The most well stocked house I've stayed in. The house is large and spacious with an amazing view from the lanai. It's worth the crazy drive down. If you don't want to be right in kona, this is a great place away from it all. You are about 1 hour from Kona and 2 hours from Hilo.

Everything was perfect. We saw whales from our balcony!! Will be coming back and staying here!!! We canceled all activities on our last day just so we could spend the whole day at the house!!

We loved watching the sea from the lanai and went snorkeling and hiking. I liked taking walks around the streets. Did lots of relaxing . Loved our stay.

Modern renovated home with oceanview. Comfortably furnished, great lanai for lazy days watching whales, napping, chatting , reading, eating. Very responsive, friendly owner. Comprehensive info manual was helpful for getting settled in including good suggestions for visiting area sites of interest. Digital key pad entry a bit tricky, required a few tries. Every amenity imaginable, well-stocked kitchen, modern appliances, pots and pans. Dramatic descent to home from curvy Hy.11 & Miloli'i Drive revealed a volcanic rock environment with stunning views. Would book again.

The house and property were beautiful and had everything you could need with lots of nice touches including toiletries and cooking supplies. We had 2 couples in our group and the home is laid out perfectly for that with 2 identical rooms with king beds and ensuites. The location is about a half hour drive from captain cook with a windy road leading down from the highway - A bit of a drive to amenities, but perfect for those looking to stay in a quieter area and relax. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would definitely recommend.

A very relaxing time in a beautiful home! The deck was such a lovely, Hawaiian environment!! We loved walking the neighborhood and talking to neighbors! The road in and out is a little exciting but it did not deter us from exploring many things in the area! Some on the list given to us and some we found on our own! Very fun! Thank you for a great, non “touristy” experience!!!

Hale Aloha Awaits is in a great location that provided ocean front activities for our stay. With the great amenities we were able to have our home away from home and have fun making memories to last a lifetime. Hale Aloha Awaits is a beautiful Hale.

My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the lanai, watching the world go by!

Scenic location and wonderful place. Our stay was enjoyable and the owners went out of their way and were very hospitable to make sure we were comfortable. The Lanai had views of the gorgeous ocean and unforgettable sunsets. It was breathtaking to watch dolphins right there from the Lanai while sipping our morning coffee. The clear night sky was perfect for stargazing and full moon (added bonus) view was spectacular. The house was very clean and the kitchen well stocked when we arrived. We felt very welcomed. There is a beach a couple miles down with public access and it’s absolutely beautiful to relax on down days. We could access all tourist attractions and amenities within driving distance and the scenery around the place made it so much more worthwhile after long days of sightseeing. We had questions in general about the area which were answered in a very timely manner. We got ample useful tips and suggestions to make the most out of our break. We were very happy and simply had a great time. The drive to the nearest stores was about 20 min or so but the house pretty much had everything we needed. Thanks so much for a wonderful time! We definitely plan on visiting in future.

Beautiful Home, Great View
The house was clean and very comfortable with stunning views of the blue Pacific! We watched the sun set while comfortably sitting on the lanai (bring bug spray though). Taking a walk reveals a dramatic lava landscape with a few blowholes.
Our only issue was that while it’s centrally located in Captain Cook, Molili’i is it’s true location, making it not truly close to anything. Going into Kona is nearly an hour north, Volcanoes National Park is an hour+ south. We were very busy on our trip which made the location a bit of a hindrance. BUT if you are looking for some privacy, relaxing time, and a gorgeous vista, this house has it!

Great views, not Captain Cook!
It was a well equipped house in a beautiful and quiet area an hour from Kona. I did enjoy our time there and would stay again.

The house, bathrooms appliances and location are extremely well kept, you see the ocean every day from the house, you are a short walk from a public park. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Quiet out of the way
This was my second time staying in Milolii, and it is one of my favorites on the island. Long steep winding road to get there but you are rewarded at the bottom with great ocean and cliff views. The house was very clean and open. We were out and about every day and came back to the wonderful lanai every evening to watch the sunset. Some mosquitoes so make sure to grab bug spray. Would stay here again.

Kai Avenue
If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place for you. Great views of the ocean and we were able to see, and hear, whales just off shore from our lanai. Remember to bring plenty of drinking water. There is a small market 10-15 minutes away for any needed supplies (once you get to the top of the hill!).
Amanda was readily available and very helpful to answer any questions we had.

So relaxing
What a delightful place to relax and unwind. We had an idea that we would go out exploring, but instead we just walked a little and mostly just gazed at the blue ocean from the lanaii and enjoyed the warm breezes. Much different from Montana in the winter! My husband says he feels better than he has felt in YEARS!
The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has what you need, there's an electric grill, and the atmosphere is utterly quiet. We also got lucky by having a full moon during our stay. Enchanting!

Very quiet and dark.
Able to hear the surf crashing the cliff across the street. Not much to do in the immediate area except watch the waves come in and hit the “blow hole”. Small State park just down the road.

Beautiful Retreat
Our week here has been highly enjoyable, restful and leisurely. Fully equipped. Spacious. Wonderful ocean views and brilliant sunsets from the lanai every day. Friendly residents. Loved learning about Miloii village history.
We navigated the narrow winding access road down to the location without difficulty, amazed by the views…but not at night.
Highly recommended.

Big Island Vacation
The house is very nice and the view is amazing. We saw dolphins and whales from the lanai. While the house is quite a drive down the hill, it takes about 15 minutes of switchback driving, it’s worth it for the view. We enjoyed our time here and just planned accordingly to get groceries or something to eat while we were out and about. And Honomolino Beach is worth the short hike from the parking lot in Milolii. Thank you for the use of your beautiful home.

Milolii house
The house is located in a really cool spot, and the drive down to it is quite the adventure. It is definitely located away from everything, which is part of the charm but also something to be aware of when booking and planning. The house was comfortable, especially the breezes that blow through the large windows and doors. There is laundry available, which was nice for our stay.

Very nice and quiet location. We enjoyed the local vibe.
We enjoyed our time at the house. The house has everything you need. Amanda responded promptly and has been very helpful. The road to the property is quite curvy so I would try to avoid driving to the property at night.

Quiet and views
If you want beautiful views of the ocean, quiet and sound of beautiful birds in the morning this is the place. If you don't mind driving down a windy road to get there and bring own drinking water in but the place makes up for this so the inconveniences are worth it.
If you don't want to be in the thick of the crowds and plan a couple of excursions during the day and then relaxing this is the place for you.

Hawaiian Getaway
This house had everything we needed. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. We watched sunsets and whales from the front deck, with the ocean right in front of us. There was a nice park and beach just down the road. We especially loved the peacefulness and quiet after a day of sightseeing, away from the crowds up north.

All Good
We enjoyed staying here. Far enough away from Kona crowds to feel a little off the beaten track. Nearby black sand beach (20 min walk past Milloli) was always quiet, picturesque and had decent snorkeling.
The house was well appointed with lots of comfortable seating and large kitchen. Great winter escape spot.

Beautiful Milolii
We enjoyed our stay here in Magestic Milolii. Our boys were camping at the beach park and we had some R&R at “Southern Belle” Serene, secluded, scary and satisfying. I say scary cause I don’t like heights and the drive down was terrifying for someone afraid of heights. But I survived the drive ups and down 4 time. Only down fall for me was No AC. But there is breezy trade winds with plenty of windows and an outdoor lanai was awesome overlooking the ocean, manta rays, dolphins and turtles. Will rent again if their is another camp in the future at Milolii. Mahalo, Amanda

Wonderful sunsets
Place is located off the beaten path. The trip down to the home takes 15 minutes down switchbacks from Highway 11. It is about 50 minutes from Kona. The house has many amenities modern kitchen with a great ocean view. Electric grill on lanai, can enjoy ocean breeze. Screen sliders can be tough to open. The main floor does not connect to the lower level, which is ideal if you have in laws coming with you. The washer and dryer cost $2 a load is separate from house has a bathroom area but is open to laundry area. There are beach items to use, fantastic beach towels. In the fishing village there is a hike (wear good hiking shoes) to Honomilino a fantastic area to enjoy a private beach (black sand) where you can snorkel and find fresh coconuts to eat. Make sure to stop in Kona to pick up groceries or 15 minutes south is a grocery store in Ocean View. We did experience a 5.5 earthquake the house in a tsunami evacuation area. (We did not have to evacuate). If you’re looking for private getaway this is the place.
