Should have added Saturday to the stay. Stayed in Boone Saturday night - on Sunday we discovered how close Blowing Rock and the cabin was to Boone. Did not stop at amusement part - all we were interested in was a train ride.
Unable to get wi-Fi or satellite TV at the cabin. Did not bother the property manager. We played chess and read books.

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was as advertised, very comfortable and very clean.

Blowing Rock Skies is exactly as described. We found it at all times to be a cozy and pleasing place to relax in. We were three of us: a father (me), his sailor son, and his shipmate. We stayed for the Thanksgiving weekend as the two of them couldn't make it home for the holiday. We each had a bed, which made it nice. With one and a half bathrooms it was an easy fit. The Great room is quite large with lots of couch/chair space. The deck is huge as well. Its view reminded you constantly that you were in the mountains. The whole place had a nice cabin vibe overall. Thankfully, the weather was dry while we were there as I can see that the narrow cliff-edge road to the cabin would be dicey if icy conditions were occurring. I can imagine that the parking would be tight for two vehicles, but we had only one so not a problem. The only negative for me was that there was no dishwasher. Still, I would heartily recommend this cabin for an enjoyable near-by stay for Blowing Rock and Boone. And kudos to those in charge of cleaning. It was very clean upon our arrival.

Cute little cabin, super clean and close to Blowing Rock!

We enjoyed our view at the cabin. It is well furnished and attractive. The road in to the cabin off 321N is a narrow gravel one-lane path down the side of the mountain. I would not feel comfortable driving it at night or in the rain. There are no guard rails. Parking is hard because of the narrow spaces with no room for a turn around. The bedrooms downstairs are very pretty but they had a musty smell. We didn't turn on the dehumidifier because we didn't know the condition of the filter. The towels smelled musty too. Anyone with allergies would not do well there. My daughter developed a sore throat but it went away after she got back home. The cabin is very quiet. We only heard distant traffic and acorns falling on the deck. Ease of check in and check out was great. Overall nice stay but the lower level would cause us not to return.

Great location, responsive host, great cell signal, wish we could have streamed Netflix
Xplorie – great add-on but didn’t get to take advantage of it because of the weather
Stairwell is dark – make sure to turn light on before heading down!
Water gets extremely hot – beware!

Property manager gave excellent directions and check in procedures. We arrived after dark and that was a little hard as the cabin is on a steep, narrow road but I am familiar with the area so wasn’t too surprised. If first time in area: arrive during daylight! Definitely need AWD or 4 wheel drive.
Cabin was comfortable and perfect for me and three teens visiting ASU. The view is stunning.
Wifi did not work at all. Network not even available but we had cell service.
Towels that the management company most likely provides need an upgrade- quality is like from a Motel 8- small and scratchy. Even the boys complained and that is saying something!
Kitchen well equipped except could use a larger skillet-
Overall , it was lovely and I would return for sure but with my own towels!
Nothing like a weekend in Blowing Rock. It is beautiful any time of year.

We had a wonderful stay with the only problem being the lack of good internet. Would recommed this home.

Family gathered for Thanksgiving holiday. House exactly as described. Great location.

It was the perfect location and an amazing view! :) We had the best time. The manager was on the ball with getting our information to us and even sent things to do and coupons. The beds were a little to firm for my liking and there was a couple spider crickets but other than that, it was a great trip filled with great memories and lots of laughter! We will definitely stay here again.

The property was fantastic. It was clean, well stocked with all of the essentials, and the view was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved this cabin! Great location and easy drive to both Blowing Rock and Boone. Strongly suggest an SUV and 4WD as a smaller car might be questionable during snow conditions.

90 % of screens broken. Had to fix two just to get air in house. Wi Fi needed to be reset several times a day. Pots and pans need help. No shelves or racks in bathrooms. Upstairs not too bad but house needs some re-doing and updating.

Lovely cabin!
We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint cabin. It is a private setting and conveniently located to the Blowing Rock and Boone areas. Nestled in the trees with a mountain view.

The property was exactly as advertised. The mountain and valley views were beautiful. The home was cozy and inviting.

The road to get in the property is a little scary but overall we loved it. Grandfather mountains and other great locations were so close to the house. The house looks old outside but it was so nice and cozy on the inside also they have everything you need in the kitchen. We had a small inconvenience to get in the house but Stacey answered his phone and was there to help out. Thank you so much, we can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful view
We went on a fun family weekend to blowing rock nc to see some snow and go snow tubing. The view from the cabin was beautiful! The house was nice and clean. Comfortable beds and very cozy. We took advantage of the fire place both nights we were there. The linens provided were nice and soft. I would stay here again. You definitely do need 4 wheel drive if you stay in this cabin in the winter time.

Great location to Downtown Blowing Rock
We visited this cabin for our weekend ski trip to Blowing Rock with two families. The sunrise off the back deck was absolutely beautiful! The location was perfect to downtown and only 15 mins from Appalachian Ski Mountain. Parking was tight for our full size truck and mid size car, but were able to squeeze in (just need to back out before loading anyone). We enjoyed the indoor fireplace, but were surprised at how unregulated the heat in the cabin was. The main level would get really cold (even with the fire) while the basement, which ran off the same thermostat on the main level, would be hot. Since both bedrooms are in the basement, it made it difficult for us and the kids to sleep. I would suggest adding a ceiling fan in the other bedroom and adjusting the heat vents upstairs. The kitchen was limited but had everything we needed. Overall, I would recommend!

Long range view
Was great surprise to look over four mountain ranges after driving partway down the mountain when leaving Blowing Rock. Was also surprised about the concern for four wheel drive. Glad our weather was good.

Great location. Cabin had everything we needed. Beautiful views off the back deck.

Nice spot right outside of Blowing Rock. The cabin had everything we needed and had really pretty views of the mountains off a back deck. fyi-Apple Maps works better to get you to the correct road.

Lovely girls weekend
A friend and I decided to run away for the weekend. We had a relaxing getaway. We enjoyed the gorgeous view from the deck and found it very well equipped. The only thing I would mention is that the bedrooms are downstairs and there is a musty basement smell. We bought a nice candle and that helped a good bit!

Perfect blowing rock cabin!
We stayed at this cabin for a girls weekend getaway and it was a perfect spot to relax and unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery of blowing rock. The views are amazing and the location is only 5 minutes from downtown blowing rock. The pictures are a very accurate representation and the home was clean and beds were very comfortable! Perfect getaway for a moms weekend away!

Blowing Rock Skies
The property is just minutes from town and has a great view/porches. It needed baking dishes and the WiFi was so slow we could not look up next-day activities well.

Great Time
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The view was on the deck was awesome and the house had everything we needed in kitchen, living and bed rooms.. A little strange that both bathrooms have no fans nor windows and don’t expect great internet. We were there to getaway so we didn’t mind but be prepared. Would recommend to anyone being in such a great location close to Blowing Rock, Boone and Blue Ridge Pkwy.

Nice Cabin Close to Town
This cozy cabin was perfect size for my wife and I on our trip to Blowing Rock. Great view and close to town. Only hang-up was we were never sent our access code. Had trouble getting in touch with property manager. They were able to email us back, so we didn’t have to look for alternate lodging.
